Need help calculating points for recipe

  • Need help calculating points for a recipe:

4 (6 ounce) cans chunk light tuna, drained well
14 ounces artichoke hearts, drained and coarsely chopped
    1/2 cup chopped red peppers
3/4 cup Greek olives, coarsely chopped
    1/2 small red onion, minced
    1/4 cup Italian parsley, minced
    1/4 cup basil, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced (1 teaspoon)
1 teaspoon dried oregano or 1 tablespoon fresh oregano
    1 cup mayonnaise
    3 tablespoons lemon juice
    fresh ground black pepper

6-8 servings Change size or US/metric
  • Well most of that recipe is freebies in the form of veggies and/or spices.

You need only count points for the tuna, olives and mayo. So figure up the points based on the cal/fat/fiber total them up and divide by the number of servings.
  • It's 4 pts for the tuna
    1 pt for the artichokes
3 pts for the olives (if it was around 3 oz)

The mayo depends on what you used:
25 pts in a cup of regular mayo
17 pts in a cup of light mayo
5 pts in a cup of FF mayo
  • Sorry, the tuna is 4 pts per can! So if you used 4 cans then it'll be 16 pts! Oh and the onion is 1 pt for a cup, I don't know how small was the onion.
  • From all my materials artichokes are 0 point veggies thus will be 0 points.
