Trader Joes is a health food store with lots of unique bread/bagels/prepared foods and then a lot of regular grocery store stuff (fruit, cereals) but organic and healthy. I love them them. Going there keeps things fresh. They have tons of varieties of fish, fresh meats and vegetarian products.

trader joe's is my boyfriend, y'all. if you go to their website (traderjoes.com), it has a location finder so that you can find one close to you.

some things i love to buy:

low fat chicken stir fry - 3 pts for 1/4 of the package

tandoori naan - frozen indian flatbread, 3 pts. great with a couple tablespoons of sauce (.5 pts, if that) and 1/3 c of part skim mozarella cheese to make a mini pizza that kicks diet pizza ***. i also sometimes sautee fajita veggies (trader joe's sells them pre-cut and ready to go!) in 2 tsps of olive oil for my oil requirements. that makes a 7 point, HUGE mini pizza that is awesome for dinner.

vegetable pad thai (frozen)- a little kick to it. so yummy! 4 points for 1/3 of the package.

laughing cow cheese - i think you can get this at regular stores, too

bran muffins - they come in awesome flavors. you can buy the huge ones, which are 4 pts, or the mini ones, which are either 1 or 2 points. careful, they expand in your stomach! (they come in fun flavors like blueberry mango or apple cranberry.)

veggies - they have packages of veggies that are all washed, cut, and ready to steam in their own bag (just snip the corner and microwave for three minutes!) butternut squash, green beans, mixed, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, sweet potatoes.

fruit - pink lady apples are SO GOOD.

soy & flax clusters cereal - sweet, crunchy, and terrific with either fat free vanilla soy milk or good old skim milk. 3 points for 1C of the cereal.

no pudge brownie mix - YUM. 2 points per brownie, with the option of making a single serving in the micro.

97 percent fat free hebrew national beef hot dogs - 1 pt each, pretty darn good.

morningstar farms products - veggie products that are also delicious. buffalo wings, sausage patties, and burgers are my favorites, but they also make a pretty good corndog.

obviously, i'm a trader joe's fanatic. but i can't help it, it's such a great store filled with all sorts of yummy, healthy goodies!

Trader Joe's is great, but be careful! A lot of their products have NO preservatives in them. This is a wonderful thing, but keep in mind that stuff like breads and what not won't last the same amount of time in your cupboard. I don't know how many times I have bought stuff and had it start growing mold in 2-3 days when stuff I bought from Safeway is still fine a week later.

I love the produce though - I get all my bagged salad and veggies from there.
