RoseyTree,

Good morning. And welcome to the site. I cannot attend meetings either due to how far away they are from me. Although I used to go to meetings a few years ago. I do use there online membership though. It is $16.95 for a whole month. Not to bad considering it costs over $40.00 a month for the meetings. :) If you would like to checking into that go to www.weightwatchers.com. But it is not mandatory. But there is tons of information there.

As for your questions no, the activity points never get carried over at all. Not even day to day. You use them the day you earn them and that is it, there gone. I have never heard about the hour limit either. And I have never heard of a weekly limit of activity points either!! I have noticed that some leaders do make errors... they are only human. ;)

Just be honest about your activity points!! Don't over use them because them you may just gain weight. And don't just exercise and stuff to earn more points to eat. That could lead you in the wrong direction as well. If you are not honest with yourself about the points you will only be cheating yourself in the long run. It does take time to get used to it though.

I am hoping that Kelly will jump in here and answer your message too. She is awesome and full of information for WW.

Again, welcome to the boards.

I believe the minimum time and maximum weekly points were part of the WW US plan in the late 90's. I remember reading through my Mom's old paperwork when I started weight watchers the year before last, and going "Oh wow! I'm so glad it's not like that anymore!" That was back in the day when you had a range each day, and could bank points for special events (the plan before Flex, maybe 1-2-3 success?)

I know that the Weight Watchers plan also varies outside of the United States, so it's best to follow one method consistantly; whether that be the current US Flex or Core plan, or another plan from Autralia or your mother's attic ;)

I find the new plan much better and easier as well! The plan before Flex (Turnaround) and Core was Winning Points. I beleive 1 2 3 Success was before Winning Points. It seems it changes kind of often.

On page 14 of the Week 3 "Be Active!" TurnAround handout, it states:

Your initial weekly activity goal should be to earn an activity POINTS value of 7-14 per week (1-2 per day), working up to an ultimate goal of 21-28 per week (3-4 per day).

Don't overdo it! Being overactive just to eat more is not healthy. Limit the POINTS value of your activity to no more than an average of 4 per day. If you're ready to earn more, consult with a certified personal trainer or exercise physiologist to help prevent injury.

....

I'm not an exerciser, so I totally am envious of ANYONE earning more than four points a day!! I think the booklet should be used as a "guide"... if you're training for a marathon, etc., then go for it!
