Points for snowcones?

I hope this doesn't sound too silly, but I was wondering if any of you would know the points for a snowcone? I know they have syrup and just ice. I would appreciate some imput. I have looked in all my books and materials and can't find anything. The snowcone stands don't put out any nutritional imfo.
Thanks,
Kaym

I just bought a sno-cone machine on Sunday. I was looking at the bottles of syrup and they are about 2 points per ounce (90-110 cal per ounce). I figure the use about an ounce or two per cone.

Thanks alot, Kelly. I was kind of figuring 1 point for a small one and 2 for a med.
Thanks again,
Kay

Your best bet would be to actually measure the amount you use... this way, you'll have a better idea. Each ounce is 2 tablespoons in volume. Keep asking questions. We can all provide VALUABLE INPUT to your queries.

I think she was referring to a purchased one from a stand or vendor not a homemade one.

Sno Cone Points--

Oops, Kelly, right. I thought she purchased a machine. Yeah, that would be hard to do. "Excuse me, sir, could you please MEASURE the syrup before you pour it on the ice?" With 50 people on line behind you. lol.

Boy do SnoCones bring back childhood memories. :)

O.k, what we really need here is someone who has operated a snow cone stand to step forward and tell us how much syrup comes out when you do one "sploosh" from those dispensers.

ohh, delicious. I used to love the blue ones. What flavor were they? I have no idea. they're blue, they make your lips and tongue blue, (teeth too) and the best part was when it started to melt, and you had the flavored water in the bottom of the paper cone cup that you drank, and inevitably spilled on you! Let's all take the day off and meet at the amusement park. We'll do a spin on the roller coaster (it HAS to use points, all that screaming, right?) and go eat a sno cone!

Blue Raspberry!

I am glad I am not the only one with a snowcone craving. They have a wonderful banana one here. It was 100 degrees yesterday here in Texas, and it sure was a cool treat.

Do they still make those orange push-up things? Those ROCKED. Long summer days at the pool; no responsibilities and no sense of time. Aaaaah.

Tato 06-13-2001 05:28 PM

I haven't seen Push-ups (what we always called them -- don't know any other name for them) lately. If you find them, they are 2 points!

Bomb Pops!!!!

Red, White and Blue Bomb Pops! Yummy and not those skinny bomb pops they sell at the grocery store now adays. Its just not the same.

As far sno cones go ------ Banana! I think sno cones were like .15 or .25 cents.
