Default Indian Food Options?

I was just wondering if any of you had suggestions for Indian food. I saw a list on Dottie's Weight Loss Zone, but the menu I have doesn't list all the foods on her list. If you have any ideas and/or point values for this type of food, your help would be greatly appreciated.

I definitely don't have point values or calorie counts, but I do have some advice re: Indian food. A lot of Indian food is pretty unhealthy, as many of the sauces are made with clarified butter and/or cream. HOWEVER, the tandoori meats are cooked in a relatively healthy way, usually with yogurt. I think you could safely order tandoori chicken or lamb. Or ask the server for one of the vegetarian dishes that doesn't have cream in it. And don't forget the masala tea at the end!!!!

Yum - I'm making myself hungry. Indian food is one of my absolute faves!

I generally make my own curries at home and that helps because I control what goes into the recipe. I usually use Curry pastes which are used in small amounts and have lots of flavor so the majority of the dish is veggies and meat. Not as yummy as going t a restaurant but healthier.

Thanks for your suggestions. It will help. We have a restraunt a couple of blocks from our house that I was wanting to try it. Someone at work brought back some Naan (bread) at lunch one day and I tried a small bite size piece, and it was REALLY good. Plus I have had some at the Saturday Market in Eugene, Oregon once and really enjoyed it. I am hoping I can get my husband to try it. I love spicy food, him - not so much. If anyone has a good recipe I can also try at home, I would love to see it.

Thanks again for the ideas you have given me.
