Default Kelly S....would you please..........

explain that 200-250 built in calories for 0pt Veg.
I don't seem to get that....Yes I know we didn't gain our weight from too many vegs but I alway calculate by the Nutrion Label. (i.e) my french style string beans or any other canned veggie that I may use (i.e) ..the entire can 3.5 servings = 1pt or 2... and I count that...I'm not comfortable not counting them.
ALSO your take on the FF sprays (ICBINB or PAM) ....do you count them??? I read 5 SHORT sprays is 0pt but at 14 SHORT sprays it becomes 1pt....any take on that?? And do/would you count it???
Thanks... your insite is always welcomed...and you too CIN, any thoughts

Ok here is what W/W says approximate each point category should be:

POINTS = CALORIES
20 = 1150
21 = 1200
22 = 1250
23 = 1300
24 = 1350
25 = 1400
26 = 1450
27 = 1500
28 = 1550
29 = 1600
30 = 1650
31 = 1700
32 = 1750
33 = 1800
34 = 1850
35 = 1900

But remember this can be up or down based on fat and fiber. Which means that higher fat can actually makes the actual calories lower and higher fiber can mean the calories can be a bit lower (fat adds points but the fat is included in the calories and fiber decreases points). However this DOES NOT include the 200-250 calories a day that W/W built into the program for free veggies. So for example take the 20 points a day with 1150 calories just fo the points you also have some 'play' room for your free veggies which W/W doesnt want you to worry about eating. SO your actual caloric intake for the day should be between 1350-1400 calories a day. See when they tell xx many points that is just for POINTED FOODS and not the zero point veggies. At least this is what was printed in my leader's manual that she shared with me.

As for ICBINB Spray and Parkay I wrote to the companies and go this information (BTW I think Parkay tastes better and at Wal-Mart it is about 60¢ cheaper):

Here is calorie and fat information for I Can't Belive It's Not Butter Spray:

12.5 sprays (2.5 grams) = 10 calories; 1 fat gram
25 sprays (5.0 grams) = 20 calories; 2 fat grams
27.5 sprays (7.5 grams) = 30 calories; 3 fat grams

24 sprays or 1 teaspoon = 17 calories; 1.9 fat grams = ½ W/W point
72 sprays or 1 tablespoon = 52 calories; 5.8 fat grams = 1 ½ W/W point

Also many people utilize PAM Cooking Sprays and over use them so when I wrote to them I finally got a response to my letter I wrote reference PAM.

For the original a 1 second spray has 7 calories/.76 fat grams so a 7 second spray would be 1 point.

For the butter a 1 second spray has 7 calories/.81 fat grams so a 7 second spray would be 1 point.

They didn't give me the Olive Oil or Garlic one though at the time.

The only veggies I count are the pointed aka starchy ones....potatoes, corn, peas.

W/W has always allowed (even back in the days of selections/exchanges) unlimited free veggies so eat them, don't count them and enjoy.
