Exclamation wasa firber rye

Hi - I am new here, and new to WW (just joined monday)

I have a question: I calculate these Wasa Crackers and they come to -0- points. Has anyone ever tried these? Can it be possible for a big grainy cracker to be -0- points?

Any input would be appreciated.

thanks PAM

No, they are actually 1 point. Anything that calculates to zero points is because it's very high fiber. In the last version of the material which they seem not to have repeated, this was reinforced. NOTHING is zero except the zero veggies... So, calculate the wasas as 1 point. If you must, double the serving and give it a point. But, no more than that, providing they are more than 3 points per.

I don't think it's true that there are NO zero point foods except veggies; yes, if something is high fiber and works out to zero then it really is one point, but there are things without fiber that come out to zero and are listed as such in the food companions--for example, ff italian salad dressing, ff cool whip, etc.

Yes, they are zero "points" in the quantity listed. However, once you multiply quantities, they add up to have points. For example: 1 teaspoon of sugar is zero points. If you have 3 teaspoons of sugar (which is one tablespoon) then it's one point and I don't care if you have your 3 teaspoons all at once, or over the course of one day -- it's still one point. Same w/ cool whip: It might be zero points for the immediate serving -- but doubling or tripling the serving gives it points... You have to be careful. A single extra point every day is only 7 extra points in a week. 3 extra "nonpoints" every day adds up to 21 points, or roughly one WHOLE EXTRA DAY'S worth of eating in a 7 day period. Will that affect your weight loss?

I certainly understand that--but I just wanted to clarify your previous statement to someone who may not know. There are 0 point foods other than veggies, and if you want to have one serving of ff cool whip on your jello you don't have to count it.

right. yes. thanks. exactly. 8-)

(even veggies, you know, theoretically are not zero. And, you should all also know that we are really supposed to limit them to 8 servings a day... because none of us should be eating ANYTHING so mindlessly all day that.... we lose sight of the amounts we are ingesting).
