Do you know if the points differ on the Subway sandwiches depending on the bread that you choose?

For example, Dotti's lists 5pts for a turkey (w/o cheese, mayo, oil), and she says they include bread too.

How do you guys figure out the subs?

Thanks!

Girlie

Hi Girlie,

The points for Subway subs assume white (Italian) bread, which I'm pretty sure is 4 points for a 6" sub. Other breads are a little higher or lower. Go to www.subway.com and check the nutritional info on breads to figure out their individual points. For example, I think the original wheat bread (not the new country wheat) is 3.5 points - but I could be wrong because I haven't checked in a while.

Hopes this helps!

The info from Dotti's is with the old white or wheat breads (which is 3.5 points) she also has the new breads listed so you substract 3.5 from the total for the sub and add your new bread points and you got your total points.

I picked up a flyer in Subway on Sunday which had all the nutritional info for their products, including the various types of bread. I don't remember all of the different values, but I'd think that flyer would be available at most Subways. It has Jared on it, and a number of "success stories" inspired by him.

I noticed that the white, 6" sub roll came out to just 3 points by my calculation. Although the points for the veggie delite are usually quoted as 4, I can't see why anything other than the bread has points, so it may be correct to count the veggie delite as 3! What a bargain. I got mine with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, green pepper, hot peppers, and vinegar. Can't believe I never had one of these before!

Bumby what they do is,....

total up the calories/fat/fiber for all the ingredients (including all the veggies) and use that figure to doing points by. I think the only time I don't count my zero point veggies is if I eat them by myself. (but that is me).
