Default Confused about points for fruit

So this morning I had cantaloupe, strawberries, grapes, and blackberries. I thought they were all 0 points but I did the recipe builder because I ate them all together and even though each food is worth 0 points, the total came out to 14 according to the etools. Is this right? So if I eat them together at the same time, it is 14 points but if I eat them throughout the day, not at the same time the they are worth 0 points?

Fruit is 0 points. If you out them into the Recipe Builder it only uses the Nutritional information of the items. So it gives it points.

Is that where you were entering it?

I only put items that have a points value to begin with into the recipe builder. Never fruit or 0 point veggies.

Fruit is zero but remember that 1/2 cup is a serving of fruit. You can have too much fruit and like anything else it has calories.

Yes, it was in the recipe builder.

I had a variety of fruit but not a lot of it. It was in one of those fruit bowls from the grocery store.

Thanks.

If it would point out to 14 points and you ate it all in one day then it really was a lot of fruit since that works out probably to somewhere around 500 calories.

WW assumes that people are going to eat about 5 servings a day total of fruits and vegetables. If eaten all in fruit, if fruit was counted that would be 5 points worth of fruit.

No it wasn't a lot of fruit, it was like 4 grapes, 1 or 2 strawberries, etc.

I just went back to calculate it again and it was much much less than earlier. I had to have put in like 1 pound of something. LOL.

Thanks again for the answers.

If it came out to 14 points, you had way too much fruit. As stated earlier, a serving is 1/2 cup. The WW program is actually based on 5 servings (combined) of fruits and vegetables. Eating more than that can affect your weight loss. It may not have points, but your body counts every calorie.
