Default Points for 255 lb woman

Hi, I had caught all the recent hype about the 'Wendie' version of the WW plan. I'm really interested in giving this a spin, but don't know what my 'point' range should be. From what I can tell, a point is 50 calories, right? I really appreciate any help someone could give me with this.

Thanks very much!

Default well, almost but -

That's a great link. But because I don't know what calorie ranges to use for the points, it's hard to know how to make this work. I have been hoping to find out what the point range I should use for my weight is, and then put the info from your link into practice. Thanks for the information, I appreciate your time.

Is this what you're looking for?

250-274 lb. = 28-33 points

225-249 lb. = 26-31 points

200-224 lb. = 24-29 points

175-199 lb. = 22-27 points

150-174 lb. = 20-25 points

less than 150 lbs. = 18-23 points

1 point = 50 calories So at 255 lb. you would be eating 28-33 points, which would be around 1400-1650 calories. But, the less you weigh, the less food you're allowed to eat. I hope this helps you out more. These point ranges are from the newer Winning Points, and not WW 1-2-3, which is the older plan.

Nenya,
I think you're also looking for how to figure out how many points for the food you eat. In your 1st post you mentioned that you thought it was 50 calories per point - but it's not quite that simple. Points are also figured on fat and fiber content. There's another thread in this forum that gives how you calculate points for your food based on the number of calories/fat & fiber. You may want to take a look at that too. Someone else posted a link for a free point calculator download - you may want to also look at that.

Hope this helps.

Nenya,
The formula that you can use to figure how many points a food has is as follows:

Calories/50 - Fiber/5 + Fat/12

Hope this helps.
