Default Zatarain's Chicken Creole Mix - 2 Good to B True?

I bought 2 boxes of the Zatarains' Chicken Creole mix and made for dinner the other night. The nutrition label indicates that 1 cup prepared is 130 calories, 0 grams of fiber, and 1 gram of fat. That's 3 points per cup.

Is this one of those 2 good to be true things? Has anyone used these mixes before?

Thanks for your assistance.

Christine,

I've used a variety of their mixes without a problem. Enjoy.

Thanks, I guess I'll figure as the box says then. I just won't have too often because the sodium was way high. It was like 650 mg. for 1 cup serving.

I took the box to a meeting once and my leader says always go with the label first!

This is probably a stupid question. Are the 3 points with or without the chicken? The directions on the box say to put in 1 lb. chicken. The calorie & fat grams don't specify with or without chicken. I was just wondering. I made it last night for dinner, and don't know if I should add extra points for the chicken.

I would guess you would have to add the points for the chicken, unless specifically stated on the box.

I am going to try some of these.

Usually it will have all the info and at the top of the rows it will say "Mix" and "as prepaired" so it tells you both. Most do anyways. Hope that helps...Sis

I tried the Gumbo one adding my own shrimp, it was not very good. I had one serving and then tossed the rest down the disposal. Homemade is so much better. I'll have to give the others a try though.
