Egg Substitute points

  • I have been using egg sustitute which is 30 cal per 1/4 cup, 0 fat, 0 fiber. Online WW docks me 1 pt.

When I punched in 1/2 cup, it docked me 2.5 pts.

I do not want to start cheating and manipulating points, I have been very pleased with the plan.

    BUT, 60 cal/0 fat/0 fiber = 2.5 pts??

I was planning on upping my egg in my breakfast for additional protein.

Am I cheating if I leave it at one point (which is what the calculator on the side bar thingee says).

I just need accountability, I don't want to start cheating and screwing around with points, this egg one just doesn't make sense to me.
  • When i punch it in I get 1 pt. Are you sure you did it correctly?
  • 1 cup is 2.5 pts, 1/2 cup is 1 pt.
  • When I put it in my calculator I get 1 point too
  • There seems to be a difference in using the search for "egg beaters" vs "egg substitute, fat free". I was using the "egg substitute, fat free" and that is what bumped it up to 2.5

I do wish when you use their search function for food that you are checking off, that you could see their nutritional info to make sure it is in line with what you are actually eating.

    Thanks for looking for me.
  • I think I must be crazy.

Would someone look for 'egg substitute, fat free' and please tell me that it brings up 2.5 pts for 1/2 cup and 1 pt for 1/4 cup.

Now I am not worried about cheating points, I can't punch buttons right either.

But to solve my problem, I just created a new food using the correct counts and it bumps up points correctly.
  • I put in 60 cal, 0 fat, 0 fiber on my calculator and I come up with 1 pt

One (1) point. The best, most accurate thing to use, IMHO is the nutritional guide with the calories/fat/fiber counts on the back. Most of the items listed in the book that are processed (i.e. not like an apple or 3 oz chicken) and are "generic" are highly variable because you DON'T know the nutritional info.

1/2 cup of something with 60/0/0 counts as 1 point.

    So enjoy!
