Anyone seen that Sonic ad for their chicken wraps? An overweight guy sits on a couch, and his wife brings home Sonic takeout. He asks what she's brought, she says a wrap sandwich, and he panics while picturing himself doing yoga or getting up early to run. (He sees the wrap as health food.) Then she says "and a sundae", he relaxes, and the pitch is that she's being both good (the wrap) and bad (the sundae).

I looked up the wrap: it's 13 points! And the sundae is 9. Their dinner, two items, will be 22 points total , each, for one meal. Which is fine, if they planned for it, but definitely NOT a light meal!

(If they just had to have takeout, a Sonic grilled cheese sandwich is 6 points and a regular order of FF is 4 points, for a total of 10.)

Isn't it weird how the ad agencies try to put this stuff over on us? Maybe it's working, though, as many people won't look up the nutritional info; sad that they'll think they're eating healthy, lowfat stuff, when they're not. (The grilled wrap has 27 grams of fat, the other, 29.)

Gee thanks, Madison Avenue; no wonder the U.S. has record obesity levels!

In all fairness a wrap is healthier than a burger type meal. It may not be low calorie but it is healthier. Just like the Arby's market fresh sandwiches while they are not low in cal/points they are healthy. Just because it is high in cal/points doesn't mean it isn't healthy.
