Chinese food points help?
I don't know if anyone can help me with this, calculating Chinese food.
Before we went out to the restaurant, I tried to see if I could look it up, but found nothing. All I found on the WW was some tips of what to get (steamed or stir fry, brown rice, and wonton soup were what they gave as good options). I looked in my Complete Food Companion, but I'm still having some difficulties.
I had a little of the wonton soup-maybe 6 spoonfuls of the broth, and the wontons had maybe pork? in the center. I had about 2 1/2 of those (not fried), maybe they are referred as dumplings? That's one issue I'm having, deciphering the two. I really don't know which one I had or if they are technically the same thing.
For dinner I ordered the Chicken and Broccoli (which had the garlic sauce?) stir-fry w/ organic steamed brown rice.
I had about 1/4 c of the rice (which I think would total out to 1pt?)
The chicken and broccoli came to about 1 - 1 1/2 cups.
The CFG has chicken and broccoli 1 c = 2 pts
Then if you look under stir fry chicken w/ garlic sauce = 7 points
If they were anything near each other, I wouldn't really think much of it, but that's kind of a significant difference (not totally, but enough to question it).
This is why I hate dinning out, especially if I can't have the points right there in front of me.
Is anyone familiar with Chinese food/Chinese food points?
(hope this is the correct forum for this question, if not, sorry!)
