Default how would you count venison?

I'm wondering about points for venison. I know it's a lean meat, should I count it like lean beef? thanks for help!

How about this . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/food-calor...food/35080/0/0 . . .

3FC has an extensive listing of food counts (including WW points) look under "Food" on the 3FC HOME page.

thanks, Meowee! That's even better. I think I need to explore around the site more, I spend most of my time in the forums.

Hey Keli, while I don't have the exact nutritional info on venison, I do own a butcher shop, and am a meat cutter. Deer steaks would be lower than buffalo, while most deer burger has all of the trim added, so there could be some fat in it. For a lot of my customers I will add pork trim or beef tallow. Regardless, it is very low in calories, due to lack of marbeling. Hope this helps!
