Sorry for the quick posts in a row. I have a question for all the smart users in this forum. Between the hours of 3 pm and 5 pm by energy is at an all time low. Which leads me to think that I need a quick sugar pick up...which I know is wrong. Any ideas for beating this "lazy" part of the day? :?:
Thanks. Jessica |
Welcome Jessica!
My solution is to crawl under my desk for a nap. No, seriously, I have that problem too. I guess the healthy, weight-conscious thing to do would be to eat something with natural sugar, like fruit, but I'm afraid I usually turn to coffee. Usually the iced skinny vanilla latte variety. Anyone else have suggestions? Lolly: I wish we in the U.S. called apartments "flats." It sounds so much cooler. My place is actually a house, not really a certain style. From the outside it looks like a small ranch, but from the first floor (which has master bedroom, bath, kitchen, dining area and living room), you walk downstairs to two more bedrooms, a sitting area, another full bath and a utility room. You walk into the backyard from the basement. It has the most space of anywhere I've lived as an adult, but I'm sure we'll fill it! (I have tons of stuff, especially books and bookcases). It also has a three-quarter porch, with one side covered. The outside and porch could use a paint job, and it does have wood paneling, which I wasn't crazy about, but the main floor has tons of windows so there's a lot of light. And washer-dryer hookups are key, of course. I hope that in the next year or so I figure out where I'm going to settle down so I can buy a house. I think I might try to go to one more paper before staying put for a while. But newspaper everywhere are having hiring freezes and the job market sucks. So we'll see. Gotta run ... WI tomorrow, and I do think I lost maybe 2 pounds since last week. I haven't cooked a meal in a week, but I've been watching what I eat out. |
