  • Wonder where the tickers keep going....

Anyway, I went off track a bit yesterday evening. Still within my points, but I wish I hadn't used so many of them. I was stress eating after a very long day with four sick kids. They are dropping like flies around here.

How is everyone else doing this fine Thursday? I think I have the day off. I figured I would but had asked the father of the kids I watch to please call me if he was going to cancel. He ahsn't called but they are 40 minutes late and he mentioned he'd probably have Gramma watch them today, so my guess is they are a no show. He often calls me like an hour afte rthey are supposed to be here. That's great and all but knowing before I drag my butt out of bed would be nice LOL. I have to go to the dentist today. It's my first cleaning ever. I've been a few times (had a root canal and two teeth pulled), but this is the first time for this. I was in my 20's before I even set foot in a dentists office. So wish me luck. It can't be that bad right?

    Have a great day everyone!!!!!
  • hi everyone!
Misty - No thanks! I need NO horses! lol! As far as training them.........ehhhhh, you really need to start from day 1! Sounds like you have your hands full. My parents had horses/ponies since I was 7. Then when I got married of course my husband and I had them too! We never had to break them.........totally!

Also - we got a note from 3FC saying that the tickers were only going to appear once on each page of each thread because some of them are soooo big that they are taking up so much space and "some" people are waiting for ever to upload the site.

Lisa - hows the smoke free world going??????

    Everyone else........wooohooooo, good job!
  • Hi
    Hi Everyone!

Mind if I join in your group?

I joined WW back in late April 2005, I have successfully lost close to 90# before Christmas, gained over six during the Holiday season, now working to get to 100 by April of 2006.

I started my weight loss journey having to loose 186# in total. I am thrilled to have come this far, but I still have a LONG LONG way to go.

I met Jeanne at another support site that kind of died away, looking for a new group to join. This looks like a lively group.

  • Welcome, Caroline!! Yes, certainly join us! You've done such a great job so far--congratulations!

Did the kids ever show up, Misty?

Sorry I can't type more--gotta get back to work!
  • We love to have new people. I want to pick your brains 90 pounds oh I am so proud of you!!! I gained ten over the holidays and have got six off but oh what a struggle. These pounds just don't want to go.

    How is the ankle Misty?

Attitudes are contagious is yours worth catching? Another quote I saw somewhere know you like them like me
  • Dealing with a plateau

I remained the same. I'm a bit frustrated, but hey, I'll take it. It's actually quite interesting how I can manage to stay the same so often, when I get weighed in at meetings and scales rounds to the nearest .2 of a pound. My leader told me that it really takes skill to stay the exact weight. It's not easy

Yeah--plateaus are never fun. At least you aren't gaining. I asked my leader for the info. sheet when I experienced it; I can't remember much of it but I think I got a couple of good tips.

I always do better when I stay for the meetings--someone always has one good idea I can take home and try.
  • Good Morning Girls!!!!

    Happy Friday!!!!

You are certainly Welcome to join us Caroline!!!!! You have really done a great job!

Well the kids were a no show yesterday. And can I say it was just such a nice day. I don't mean to be mean, but I really enjoyed just hanging out with my kids. I know my kids aren't perfect, I'm not one of those dilusional parents, but they just don't have the same set of behavior issues as the two I babysit. Really haveing the wonderful day yesterday makes me want to quit watching them. I keep telling myself if I can make it through the winter and summer the oldest will be in school and then I will only have three.

I am having a great week so far. I've exercised 3 times so far. So I am off to start my day. have a fabulous friday!!!!
  • Thanks for the encouragement!! I'll do better!! However, I've been bad this week, so I'll probably gain!! I guess I shouldn't have complained about remaining the same! lol

Guess what ladies-----I jogged two miles last night! I'm so proud of myself!!!! I wish I could just tell everyone that I know (and even everyone that I don't know!)

What are your weekend plans? My parents are coming to visit us tonight. We're going out to eat (I'll try to be good, but it's Old Chicago's, so I don't know if it's even possible to be good there). We're going to the Kansas/Iowa State men's b-ball game tomorrow. We also have bowling league on Sunday night. Not much else happening though.
  • Hey I lost one pound yippee I changed weigh in to Fridays because the week ends are tough thought maybe that would help. Feel better one pound is amazing for me
