Default Cool front Thursday

Gotta love South Central-Eastern Canada's crazy spring/summer... It was stifling hot yesterday morning and today I was freezing. Still should be nice this afternoon.

Anyway La Senza was having a bra sale yesterday so I got two!!

Take care!

IT'S MY LAST DAY!! (before vacation anyway)! I leave after work tonight and travel all night to arrive in washington, DC tomorrow morning - YAY!! My sister and her husband just found out that they will not be going to Croatia but have accepted an assignment in Madrid, Spain. That's more accessable than Croatia. They don't know if they'll have a house or townhouse but they've been told they will have one bedroom per family member. That means by putting all 3 babies in one room, they'll have two guest rooms for company (like me) - I've never been to Europe so that could be great if I can scrape together the funds while I'm in school. Something to look forward to I guess. So today I must get everything organized at my desk and figure out what I will be missing while I'm gone. I should catch up my filing too - oh, and I'm seeing students all afternoon - making me dizzy just thinking about it. I'll try to check in while I'm away but if I don't stop by I'll check in when I get back!

Hey Ali and KT!

It's cold here again too Ali - hot/cold and windy/terrential downpour/hot, etc. Welcome to Calgary.

Well, I WI last night and I gained Ididn't expect it, I was up 2.4. I have to wonder when TOM is due (as I am not on the pill I lose track all the time). but I had sushi for lunch so the leader thought it might have been some water too. Apparantly rice is bad for that (?)

Anyway, it was a GREAT meeting. It wasn't theusual leader but an older lady that lost 35 lbs or so. Anyway, she was really awesome and the topics were fitting in exercise (and importance of it, etc) and a long chat on carbs. There was also a chat about "all or nothing" ie: if you eat too many points at work you get home and pig out b/c who cares you already blew it. I thought it was the best meeting I have ever been to. It was smaller (people drop off during the summer months) than usual and people shared more. That was nice!

People were also talking about cravings and binging. It was good.

Gotta run, BBL over lunchhour!!

PS - where are all the Americans? It's been a Cdn board lately....what's up??? Jen? Tonya? Kim? Kier? Lori? Jess? Beck????

KT: Go to travel cuts once you're a student and get an international student card. It's worth tons of discounts in Europe for trains and stuff (actually to get the student discount on VIa you require it too). Keep a lookout on seat sales too!!

Belle: YES!!! My major problem... I swear one bon-bon at work and I would be like " this"... Then I would binge all day... I think it's due to putting unrealistic demands on oneself, once I deviated slightly, I felt like I failed and would just pig out". She sounds like a gem of a leader. I totally understand about the pill thing... I got off of it, but now I am seeing that my cycle is about every 29-30 days... The PMS is FAR worse though (being off the Pill) and so is the TOM.

Cheers!

Ali

Ali, this is true for me too - it was really nice to hear them actually address it in a WW meeting. They also talked alot about Glycemic Index and recommended going to the site someone suggested on the board a while ago, glycemicindex.com.

I find my PMS is worse too, but the actually period is shorter - I had a long period on the pill for some reason, but I am moodier without the pill!! Vitamin B6 here I come!!

KT - If you are in Spain you may as well travel the medeterrainian too - do it while you have time - when you have kids, you're hooped!!

Well, I just sliced open my pants and leg on my desk handle great....I went to Reitmans and bought 2 pairs of pants, one pair of shorts and a golf shirt to replace them!! They all cost me $90 so not a bad deal anyway. They are all work pants. I think I can have these repaired well enough for weekend wear anyway. But tick me off!! I didn't want to buy much clothes over the next little while....I lodged a complaint with office services - I think I should be reimbursed for my ruined pants!! Not to mention my cut up leg.

I have posted a pic of my new neice Genevieve - this is her first real smile during her first shower - so it's a bit foggy but super cute!!

Belle - WHAT A SWEETIE!! I love that picture. If you drew blood when you cut your leg you should make sure your tetanus is up to date (i'm always a first aid attendant) - but you should be re-imbursed for the pants - holy deal on the shopping!!

Ali - I forgot about the international student card - that's a great tip!

OK - I was stalling because I don't want to finish this last bit of filing but I better get it done - less than 2 hours and I'm gone!!

Hey guys,
Okay my problem with food at work is that we sell these awesome Ottis Spunkmeyer cookies, they're excellent. They've been a part of my diet for a long time, i even lost the 22 lbs while still eating 2 a day. But also Starbucks is close by too. It's in the same parking lot. So yeah, anyone know how many points are in a Venti Caramel Frappucino Blended Coffee, yeah that's what I thought, LOTS. Oh well. Baby Geneviève is so Cute. Europe is awesome. I'd love to go again.
