Good Morning all! Make sure you check out that last of yesterday's thread. Casey and I have BIG news!! Woohoo! Even with the candy I ended up at 22 points for Wednesday! Yeah! What that little bit of determination can do for a person.

I've been up late working on PL stuff, so I thought I would start the new thread. Things are going so well! I'm at a point where things are just waiting to explode in a good way. When they do my income from this little candle business will double. My dream of quitting my job is getting that much closer! I can't tell you how empowering that is. It's amazing how each thing in our lives effects the other part. I gained a lot of the mental/emotional skills I use in my business through WW actually. WW has done so many incredible things for me beyond a new eating/exercising lifestyle. It's priceless! :smoking:

My puppy is a complete spazoid. I don't know what's gotten into him. Let's just say it's going to be time for some snip snip soon. Poor guy  I'm gaining quickly on comatose mode so I will sign off and go to bed. Hey, Kirsty's probably about ready to get going for the day while I'm writing this. Did you drink a cocktail for me?

Kirsty 03-29-2001 04:32 AM

me, awake at 6am!?

honey - i was tucked up in bed sleeping off the long island iced teas when you wrote that! ;)
and after a momentous journey to work thanks to a ridiculous tube strike i have arrived. lots of work to do, so no time to post properly. great thread yesterday. well done brenda and casey on the losses!
more later,
kirsty

ps actually i guess it was about 7am, but i was still asleep! for some reason whoever set the UK time on here hasn't twigged that the clocks have already gone forward.

Kirsty 03-29-2001 06:24 AM

i have a wife!

hooray! my best friend linda has come down from edinburgh for job interviews in london. but because of the tube strike she isn't going to fly back up to scotland till the weekend. so today she is stuck in my flat (watching angel videos!) and has offered to cook me dinner. i've left her my WW cookbooks and told her where the supermarket is. so now i have my own little housewife busy planning and preparing my dinner! hee hee! i do hope she warms up my slippers for me...

Lolabooey 03-29-2001 07:17 AM

Good morning!

Congratulations to Casey and Brenda on those fantastic losses!!
All these puppy stories are making me want one!! I can hardly wait until I can get a dog! I know, they can be a pain, but the world just isn't so bad when you have a dog's head on your lap...
Kirsty YOu may have been asked this before, but how long have you been maintaining your weight? You are an inspiration! Who are the other maintainers on the Board?

Have a great day!

L.

Kirsty 03-29-2001 07:54 AM

lola - i got to goal in december 1999 (i started WW in august 1999). and i've been maintaining ever since, so that must be a year and 3 months and a few days!

tilley 03-29-2001 08:48 AM

Good morning ladies!

Brenda - Woo Hoo on the 2.6... awesome. Good for you!

Casey - WOW. 4.25 - that's excellent.

Kirsty - You ARE an inspiration. Maintaining for over a year? That's so wonderful.

I was thinking about maintanance a few months ago. I remember always reading SELF magazine's success stories and seeing that they all exercised like 5 times a week. And I'd think "i'll never be able to do that." I used to get so frustrated. I'm still a little frustrated - I mean I feel like I've worked my @ss of to lose these 20 pounds, and I still have SO FAR to go. At least I'm doing the exercise thing. Sometimes I just get overwhelmed.

My roommate makes these AWESOME chicken enchaladas that I love. Well, we're having people over tonight for dinner and everyone requested the enchaladas. I was a bit worried. But last night, I took all the ingrediants and added up all the info to figure out the points. I talked Marcy (my roomie) into using half regular cheese and half lowfat cheese and she said okay... so I got them down to 8 points a piece. So I'm gonna have 1 1/2 enchaladas tonight for 12 points. Plus 18 baked toritilla chips for 2 points and salsa - grand total 14 points. ANd I planned the rest of my day around that. That gives me 13 points to work with.

See, though... I did this - but it took effort. I'm mainly scared of having to make such a big effort for the rest of my life.

Losing this weight is THE most important thing to me right now. And I want to do this... I'm just feeling overwhlemed and worried.

I hope I'm not bringing people down. I just am having "one of those days."

Thanks girls!
Lisa

LoriD 03-29-2001 08:49 AM

Congratulations to casey and brenda!!! I bit the bullet and tallied my points from the other day and it wasn't as bad as I had thought...did well yesterday-I tried a new recipe for seafood fra diavolo and it came out awesome! I'm also psyched b/c I found Aunt Jemima low fat frozen pancakes in the market-1 serving is three pancakes for three points! Whoo hoo-I love pancakes...
I also made my goal of exersizing yesterday...so we'll see what happens this week at weigh in....
This apt hunting sucks-BF wants to buy a two family house and rent out one half to me and one half to a tenant(I don't want to live together yet)...my mom is totally against this idea of course....economically speaking it's a good idea-BF says we could get a head start on paying for a place that we would live in together-he'd take on the mortgage(b/c I can't buy a place yet financially) and I'd pay rent...but I feel a little weird about it too...bye for now-lori

Jen-L 03-29-2001 09:29 AM

1 day till Friday!!

Hi everyone. I am still on track... YAH. I even did my Self Strength Training last night. Sadie tried to grab the dumbbells everytime I lowered them. She is a crazy dog!! I also ate within my points AGAIN, and that included a snack of brownies!! Oh and I put 2 1/2-3 years on WW... but I took 9+ months off for a pregnancy! I can't believe I have been following it for that long!

BRENDA.... YAHOOOO FOR YOU. Nothing like a good loss to keep you motivated! Don't forget to change your signature!! Also, we NEVER buy stuffed chew toys anyone.... 1) same reason as you, the slimy kong is bad enough, the stuffed toys are usually dripping!!! YUCK! 2) She is now 70 pounds and HUGE, she could chew up a house if she wanted too!!!

Casey... YAH FOR YOU TOO!! I haven't been to WW in 2 1/2 weeks because of travelling. I hope for a loss too!! Hope my travels didn't put me too far over!!

Kirsty... I am Jealous.. wish my hubby would make me dinner. Well, he does, but he isn't the greatest cook, but he's learning. When we first started dating he was aweful. I am teaching him gradually, and he tries!!! He does tuck me into bed when I go to bed early. That is cute!!

Tilley.... I love enchiladas! Yah on asking her to adjust them slightly! If you want something bad enough, you will find a way to get it!!! :)

Well, I better skidaddle. I forgot, someone asked about eggs a couple days ago.... I had 2 hardboiled ones this morning and 1/2 grapefruit for a wonderful 5 point breakfast. Eggs are not bad for you if you have normal cholesterol. Although I have read not to eat them everyday! I love 'em!!

Brenda N 03-29-2001 09:52 AM

Hi!

Ooohhh yummy breakfast! Toast with honey butter and peaches. Lip smackin’ good! We had another problem with the dog. My DH bought a new watch last night on the way home from work. It was a good deal, $18 as it is for work. This morning when I got up, he informed me that Nestle has jumped up on the counter got the watch and he chewed the band to shreds. My husbands comment? ‘This is where we begin about a year of him testing us’ Ummmm………help! I don’t know if I can handle this you guys. I collect pewter figurines and he had his grubby big paws up on one of the shelves investigating this morning. I don’t have $300-$400 to blow on an enclosed cabinet for my collection. My hubby doesn’t think Nes will bother the pewter, but I wouldn’t put it past him. You would not believe the list of things I came up with that I am going to have to change around the house. With him being able to get up on the counters and the table I’m in puppy HE double hockey sticks!

Kirsty: Still in bed at 6am? Oh man, I have to get up at 5 b/c I work at 7. But I love getting off at 4 though. I wish we truly had 8 hour days. We have to work 9’s so we can have our hour lunch. I know, whine, whine  Pass that housewife my way when you’re done with her? How nice of her to fix you dinner.

Lisa: It’s such a battle for me to exercise at all, I don’t know either how I will be able to get in the habit. I know it’s the key to me getting to goal, that’s just the part where determination is nil. We all have a little different area that is the hardest for us. I probably will have to make the kind of effort you are talking about my whole life. I think that’s another key to being a successful WW, accepting the fact that we will have to deal with these issues and work hard at it for the rest of our lives. Once you come to accept that (if not be happy about it all the time) in a way it makes it easier. I know you can do it and we are here for you!

Lori: I love pancakes too!

Jen: I did change my sig! Heheheheeeee.....

Trish: How are you today??

All the rest, come out come out wherever you are!

KO 03-29-2001 09:53 AM

Got to class early today

CONGRATS Brenda and CAsey ;D I'm psyched for you

i havent posted in 2 days b/c all i have been reading is textbooks gr damn profs

Jen my dog will carry around a dumbell when im working out its tooo funny ;)
Lori I kinda agree with your mom in a way b/c you dont want to have to pay bills to your bf things could get wierd that way

Lisa I know what you mean about maintenance
I have lost weight quite a few times and I always manage to get kicked in the arse by the old habits BUT if you think about it not as a diet but as a lifestyle change you're altering your behavior for the long term So theres a light at the end of the tunnel
Ps Maybe you could post your roomies recipe for the enchiladas

Brenda be prepared for your pup to be more spunky after the snipping My Murph found his barking voice after his guys were gone

Ok so its confession time Im sitting here with a liter bottle of diet coke I havent had soda since february but i didnt have time to stop for coffee and was afraid my van driver would make me throw it out She has a history of this on a healthier note I have 2 ziplock sandwich bags with cheerios in it one for breakfast and one for a low points snack Im having the girls over for dinner and I have to cook Kosher which is a first for this shiksa anywho class is startign soooo IM outtie
Love Kier

TxAggie 03-29-2001 09:53 AM

Good Morning all!

Congrats Brenda and Casey!
That is a fabulous loss!

Everyone else is doing soooo good as well!

I love cadbury creme eggs. I get addicted easly, so I don't buy them anymore.

Lori ~ Good for you to tally even the bad days! I have been eating those pancakes for years. They used to only be 2 pts. per serving according to the old plan :(. They are very filling and taste evil!

Brenda ~ Thats wonderful that PL is going so well. I wish I had the courage to do that. I love going to PL parties, but no one around here has them. Maybe I could corner the market *evil grin*!

Kirsty ~ A year! What an accomplishment! I hope I can do that!

To everyone else ~ Have a fab day! I gotta run, but I'll check in later!
Kay

TonyaLyn 03-29-2001 10:01 AM

Good morning! One more day til Friday!! :) Whoo!!!

A big "CONGRATS" to Casey and Brenda, you guys are my idols!!! I am praying for a loss this week, even one pound!!!!!

Jen ~ Way to lift those weights. Isn't it amazing how time flys when you are following the plan, that goes to show it isn't that difficult of a plan to follow!!! :)

Lori ~ Good luck with the living situation. I understand where your BF is coming from, you will have to sit down and weigh all the pros and cons, paying rent sucks! DH and I are building our first (and last) home next year, it will be so nice to actually own something!

Lisa ~ I think it is so important to plan out your eating day, I really think it helps to stay OP. Your dinner sounds awesome, I love chicken enchiladas!!!! BTW, you are doing an awesome job losing, keep up the good work!!! :)

Good morning Lola!!! :)

Kirsty ~ I wish I had a wife!!! (LOL!!) I would love to come home to dinner being made and slippers ready!! Actually my DH loves cooking and is great at it, he is just never home (who invented work, anyway?!??) Enjoy your dinner!! :)

Hello to everyone else!!! :)

Well, as for me, I am still "super single mom" this week, and the kids and I are doing just fine. I have been staying OP, but at the higher end of my points each day, but I have been walking 2 miles each day over my lunch break, so I should do just fine at WI on Sat.

It is raining here today, so I guess it is a good day to work. I am making spaghetti tonight, and my brother, mom and dad are coming over for supper. I make my own spaghetti sauce, which is meat-free, so I just need to count the noodles.

Well, not much else new, so I better get back to work....see ya a little later.....:D

Kirsty 03-29-2001 10:07 AM

cakes are everywhere!

heeeeelp! someone decided to buy some lovely cakes from marks (which you'll be very sad to hear lolly, are going to close all their overseas branches - buy from the spanish branch while you can!).
there's chocolate cake, lemon drizzle cake and another one (i've not dared go closer to look!). i'm going to be good cos i know the stuff my friend is making tonight will use up all my points. and then some once you add in booze! good job i've got a long walk to the overground train (none of the underground ones are working)....that should make up a few points.
anyhow. i want lots of don't eat the cake emails and support!! i know i can be strong today. just wish they weren't within visual range! so here is a piccie of one to make you guys feel the same as me!

Belle2000 03-29-2001 10:08 AM

Brenda and Casey

OH MY GOD!! Well done! I am very very impressed with your losses!

I gotta run to a meeting......I am so beat - packed last night, and tonite again...YIKES

Belle

TonyaLyn 03-29-2001 10:10 AM

Kirsty ~

NO CAKE!!!!!!! Try to associate the cake with something awful tasting!!! (Cow manure cake? Sorry, that is gross!)

:D

Trish O 03-29-2001 10:14 AM

Hello all. Just a quick hello right now. I was 1pt over last night...but I will make that up today. It was just one of those really hungry days. I did get workout points and I guess I could use that.

Anyway, I will be back this afternoon.

trish

Kirsty: DO NOT EAT THE CAKE! You know what, I just saw one of your co-workers spit on that cake. How gross! (See, if there is spit on the cake you can't eat it!)

Sweater Girl 03-29-2001 10:37 AM

:spin: I am doing the Happy Dance for Brenda and Casey! That is awesome :spin:

My teacher extended a deadline on an assignment and he usually never does, so I am a happy camper!!

Brenda: Congrats on your loss, that is great! Don't worry, my dog got the snip snip and he was fine afterwards.

Kirsty: There's a tube strike? I heard that London just celebrated the billionth passenger (probably as a publicity stunt to save face if a strike was looming). Oh well, I hope you'll be okay getting around and stuff. My dad was testing me on all the transit lines in London and whether or not if I knew which one was the tube or the underground, I did well actually.

Lola: I love dogs too, I also love cats. I'll wait for the pets though until I have a stable full-time job... for now I'll have a cactus and visit the pets at my parents' house.

Jen: I can't strength train at my parent's house due to the pets. The second I lie on the floor, one of my dogs snuggles next to me and if I lift dumb bells the other dog tries to play with them as well.

Lori: 3 pancakes for 3 points? That sounds awesome! mmmmmmmm

Lisa: I worked up my workouts slowly, but once I got it to 5-6 days a week, it became sooo addictive... I can't believe I love exercise as much as I do now, though I am *slowly* warming up to the weight training (I LOVE the results!!!). I am hopefully going to get certified as an aerobics instructor this summer.

Kierie: Good luck with the cooking Kosher!

Kay: Cadbury Egg Addicts unite:) I will have three this year and spread them over easter and my exam period. I now know I can easily work them in, but I figure if I have them after Easter the stores will have stopped selling them so I can't buy more (well except for that one year where they were selling them off discounted after Easter and I got 10 for $1 <I ate them over a week>).

Tonya: that is great, it shows that all the good habits you have acquired can be followed even when things get a little more stressful than usual! Good For you:)

Take Care!

Ali

Sweater Girl 03-29-2001 10:42 AM

Kirsty: A local grocery store chain in Canada may pick up some Mark's food, which will make my parents REALLY happy. Though I got addicted to the double devonshire cream chocolates this summer ( after eating a whole bag of those yummy chocolate caramels I joined WW, I'm serious ;)).

Belle: when is the big moving day?

Trish: I am sure you'l kick butt with points today so that 1 extra point won't matter! Take Care

(and Kirsty, I also saw a co-worker spit on that cake).

Bye!

Ali

Kirsty 03-29-2001 10:43 AM

i'm sure the spit wouldn't do me any harm...
;)

don't worry - i ain't touching the cake. my greedy co-workers have almost demolished them so if i can hold on for another half-hour i should be fine! but i definitely deserve some wine tonight!!

Kirsty 03-29-2001 10:49 AM

ali - you've lost me. isn't the tube just the nickname for the underground? or did you mean to write overground? anyhow. yes they celebrated the billionth passenger and then promptly went on strike cos of safety reasons. nearly all the stations and all the lines are closed. only 3 lines are operating, at about 10% of normal service and only at the outskirts (basically there is nothing in central london at all!). it's going to be a long walk home tonight....it's quite amusing to see all these people in suits matched with trainers/walking boots clutching their A-Z's and wondering where they are!

Lolabooey 03-29-2001 10:59 AM

Kirsty I practically wept when Marks closed their Montreal store. No more strong tea... shortbread.... wine gums... clotted cream pudding.... :(

Lolabooey 03-29-2001 11:03 AM

Ali you must tell me which store is picking up the food!!!!

Jen-L 03-29-2001 11:05 AM

KIRSTY....

That skanky security guy that sat in your chair was sniffing the cakes with a snotty nose!!!!

StaceyT 03-29-2001 11:10 AM

Good Grief! Are we busy or what??

Wow! I logged on what I thought was early, just to find out the boards are on fyah!! (fire) :)
Kirsty: Ugh, snotty, spitty...you have some really rude co-workers. hee hee
Lola: What is clotted pudding? I am forming a really bad impression in my mind. Where I'm from, clotted or clotting is not associated with food, but with blood. Eek!
I stayed OP yesterday! Yippee for me!
Oh Wait!!! DOOT DOOT DO DOOO! (like a trumpet)
AWESOME JOB TO THE LOSERS!!! Brenda, I knew you could do it!!
Tonights a big night! Survivor, Friends, ER...wow, I can't wait. I'm going to the gym, too, since I can't walk at lunch today...
Must make a potty break but I'll be back since the boss is gone today. Yippee!!

Sweater Girl 03-29-2001 11:41 AM

Kirsty: The tube being the deep underground lines and then the more overground lines called the underground. That's how I understood it (which could be VERY outdated, my father hasn't lived in London since the 70s, so I maight be completely wrong and off-base) Sorry for confusing you.

Lola: The rumour is Loblaws might be making arrangements for M & S stuff, I hope so.

Stacey: Survivor is on tonight? I thought it was on Wednesdays now. Oh well, that's fine (though then the gym must have been empty for another reason last night, made my workout go much quicker though).

Now I am going to by a new top! Take care!

Ali

tilley 03-29-2001 12:40 PM

Helllloooooo ladies!

Tonya and Brenda - thanks for the pep talks. I'm in better spirits already. Really, I'm in a much better mood. I was just feeling so overwhelmed this morning.

Ali - really, an aerobics instructor. I think i remember you saying that before, but I think that's so cool. Two years ago, would you have ever imagined....

Kirsy - JUST SAY NO!!!! The guy making the cake lost some fingernail clippings in the mix. Then sneezed on the icing.

Jen - L, yeah for strength training. I'm doing well with that too... I really like I like it.

Kier - I will have to get the recipe from my roommate. They are really good. I know all the ingrediants, but I'm not sure what she does with them all... I find out. And she uses full fat cheese and full fat tortillas. I bet you could take the 8 points and bring it down to 6 if you used all low-fat cheese and low-fat tortillas.

Well, I worked breakfast and lunch around the enchalada- a 3pt breakfast and a 7 point lunch. So if I don't snack today... and really I don't need to... I'm pretty good if I make it past 10am... then have the 14 point enchalada dinner - I'll still be able to bank 3 points. Who would've thought - a enchalada dinner and still have points left over!

By the way - a low point food suggestion: anyone have Zararain's rice mixes in their grocery stores? It's a southern company - and I used to have to have my mom mail me the rice mixes from home - but now they have them in Boston.

Well, they have a red beans and rice mix (2pts for a cup) or black beans and rice (4pts for a cup) and they are really filling because they have lots of fiber. What's great about the Red Beans and Rice one is that if you do feel really hungry, you can have 2 cups for 4 points.

Anyway, check in the rice aisle and give them a try - they're SO GOOD!

Lisa

Brenda N 03-29-2001 12:44 PM

Boo!

Thanks for all the congrats! Things are going well today. I had a few M & M’s but will count them and have some yummy bean soup for lunch.

Kierie: I hope mine doesn’t decide to bark all the time afterwards. The only time he barks now is when we are playing or when a stranger knocks and he gets suspicious. I was hoping maybe it would mellow him a bit. I guess I’ll plan for double the spazoid I have now. What did my DH get me into? Jeez I love that dog.

Kay: Now you know I have to respond to that comment! I would love to have you as a part of my team *double evil grin*! It doesn’t really take any courage. It’s just hanging out with people and having a good time. I get to see how they decorate their homes and make suggestions. I know a lot of people who started even though they were worried about it and now they are loving it and making bookoo bucks! You should see the new spring catalog! Argh!! I’m running out of room for candle holders in my house.

Tonya: I’m sure sometimes my DH wonders if he has a wife  He loves to cook so I leave it to him. I don’t mind, it just seems like so much work. We’re having ppl over Sat night and I think I’m going to make the cheese lasagna from WW week 6 and the veggie quesedillas from week 3. My co-workers are right now making copies of the recipies

Kirsty: You are a cruel evil person  Tempting us with sweets, shame one you. BACK AWAY FROM THE CAKE!!! Keep reminding yourself how much better your dinner will be tonight! I swear I see a bug in that picture of the cake. Bug cake ewwwwwwwwwwwwww

Ali & Kirsty: Please laugh at me. When Kirsty was talking about the ‘tube’ I figured she meant TV, b/c that’s a nickname for it. :spinning: Am I mental or what? Hey Ali, how about lifting the dog if they won’t let you weight train

Stacey: Good job on points!

Suppose I should get to working on month end close! Later alligator!

StaceyT 03-29-2001 01:02 PM

Yummy lunch

Hey everyone!
Lisa: I get Zatarain (sp?) here in Oklahoma. They are yummy! I haven't tried anything but the Jumbalya mix (used sausage and chicken long time ago) and the Red Beans and Rice. I'll have to check in to that!
New food item!!!
Bird's Eye Broccoli with Cheese sauce. The ENTIRE package (2.5) servings is 2.5 points!! I hope I figured it out right, but it is so yummy and really filling. It's what I'm having for lunch today.
Brenda: We're still thinking about getting a dog, but it won't be until after the honeymoon. That way we don't have to board him/her or have someone come stay at the house. Goofy will be fine with someone coming over periodically, but if we had a dog, especially a puppy, that would take a lot of "dog-sitting" :) I looking forward to getting a dog, though. Don't worry, when I was reading Bridget Jones, I thought the tube was the tv, too. I think the differences are funny!
Well, I should get some work done, but I really don't wanna!! Mmm, I want some cheese with my whine.
haha
I guess I'll pretend to do something for the meager pay I call an earning. I'll be back..........

LoriD 03-29-2001 01:08 PM

Jen-I would love the enchilada recipe, and I will g\definitely try the red beans and rice!!!

MMM-that cake looked awesome!!!Luckily I have already eaten lunch...

I've already met my water requirement today-whoo hoo!!! Everyone is doing so well-I can't wait till we can meet each other...:spin:Lori

YUMMMMMMMMMM

As long as we are sharing low point yummy things... here is mine... Kudos Snickers Flavor. 2 Points!!! I never realized these were that low in points until I bought a pack last week again!! At my last WI the lady next to me was eating one of those new 2 point bars... they were so small and really didn't look that great. Plus others have said they aren't worth it. Well, these Kudos are yummy. They aren't huge, but really satisfy my candy bar craving!!!

Also I love Zatarains!! We buy most of the flavors. Gumbo is good too. We add shrimp to it. Haven't had it in awhile, but I think it was like 2 points a serving. Spicy too!

Other of my favorites.... Tostito flavored chips. The Cheese Quesdilla flavor is yummy. HUbby likes the Salsa and Cream Cheese flavor. I am nut and dip my Cheese Quesadilla flavor in french onion dip... made with FF sour cream and a packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix!! YUMMMMM, makes me feel naughty!!

Also, I bought a 4 pack of Cadburry eggs for me last night and Snickers Eggs for Hubby. I am gonna space them out and count the points. These will be the only ones I get so I will make it count! Trish.... I also savor the filling.... YUMMMMM

Evil Chocolate, evilevilevil

Confessions confessions, since we're doing them, Kierie, I just went to the shop and bought a family-sized bar of special Spanish chocolate. I was sooooooooo desperate ... Doesn't that make Diet Coke seem positively pure?! Now. This is where you girls come in. I am going to go home in a minute and before I even take the cellophane off I am going to work out chunks of about 2/3 points to cut it into, then I am going to have 1 chunk a day and YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO KEEP MAKING SURE I HAVEN´T SCOFFED IT ALL!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeease, I NEED YOU!!!!!! I haven't had chocolate for weeks and you better believe you can't buy individual bars here ...

YIPPEE Brenda and Casey on the triffic losses - I am having withdrawal symptoms from not going to WI, I never thought I would hear me say that and now you girls have got me all inspired again!!!

And WOO HOO Lori and Lisa on the points planning, see, you inspired me too, that´s why I had to buy the chocolate and try it for myself :s:

Nooooooooooooooooooooo Kirsty, noooooooooo M&S can't close in Spain. Theycan'ttheycan'ttheycan't. I NEED THEM. I guess they'll be around for the next 3 weeks though ... that's how long I need them for this time ... I used up everything in my fridge today making a yummy pasta sauce (tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon, onion, garlic, olives ... very dull but still yummy!) so that'll do for tomorrow then I have to do BIG SHOP. WHo was asking about low point snacks? I like fruit with meringue - only half a point in a meringue. And it feels so naughty! Or toasted sunflower/ flax seeds with soy yog and honey (I eat seeds with everything!).

I'd better dash - I heard about a job today that would be the perfect job for me, only I don't have any teaching experience, so I just printed out 50 pages of info about the courses I would have to teach and I'm going home to mug up. Exciting!

Hugs to everyone, and tomorrow, THANK CRUNCHIE, is FRIDAY!! YIPPEE!!

Cadbury's question

What is a Cadbury's Milk Tray? I read about it a lot in B.J. Diary, but never could quite figure it out.
I'm eating a Lindt Lindor chocolate square. We liquidated a coffee shop and they sold these sinfully rich chocolate bars. So, I bought one yesterday and have split it up into 3 sections. Each section is 2 points. Yea me! Ok funny break over.
See ya!

Campino's

Canucks - has anyone tried these? They are strawberry adn cream and orange and cream hard candies. I am not a hard candy girl, but I love these - they are one point for three as far as I can tell. And they kill my sweet cravings!! Woo hoo!!!

Seems like we are in Chocolate mode!

Well, off to finish up for the day I have to leave early to pack.

Ali - official day is Satruday, but I have the keys now and I am moving in boxes with my car (and my mom's!!). I only have a little truck for like 2 hours on Satruday so I only want to move furniture and make themove as easy as possible. So far, so good. when do you leave?

I wish I could come to Ottawa too and visit you girls....

good intentions

OK so i went to lunch and did very well I think i shocked the **** out of the lady when i ordered steamed veggies and rice
with a garlic sauce on the side I figured that would be relattively low points if i only ate a half cup of rice thru the course of chatting and going back to pick on the rice i ended up eating maybe 1/12 cups
im not sure and you know damn well they dont measure so did i just turn my OP lunch into a disaster?
Im a carb addict and i should have known better than to reopen the box thingie
but anyway I gotta go back and study more
Love
Kier

PS it would be cool if we all could post a recipe or somethign that we like

Also, I LOVE to cook, so I am loaded with recipes. Most I got from this site.... But I would love it if we all shared..... food is goooooood!!

Is it time to go home yet?

Still going strong today! Had yummy Black Bean Progressive Soup and couldn’t even finish it! It’s one of those that has really high fiber (10g!) and it kills me to only count 4 of those! Ah well, all in all I’ve only eaten 11 points for the day.

Stacey: I’m going to have to find that Broccoli with cheese! That’s one of my favorites. You can also do your own with Velveeta light. It’s only 1 point an ounce! I had wondered about the Milk Tray too but just assumed it was chocolate, good question.

Belle: I can’t get to that site from work. I’ll try from home if I have time tonight. I feel like I’m missing out!

Jen: I’d forgotten about Kudos bars! I will have to go check them out. Thanks!

Lolly: How are you doing on that chocolate? Remember, only one piece a day. Cadbury Egg’s all year round? Oh boy. I’m both jealous and grateful at the same time that we only have them at Easter.

Jules: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah for your loss!! That’s wonderful. See, you can do it!

Kierie: 1 cup of cooked white rice is 4 points, brown would be the same. It sounds to me like you are OK depending on how much you figure the sauce is :D

The rest of this day is dragging. Can’t wait to get home and pick up the house, finish some PL work and relax? That would be nice! I just called a girl I met in a little bar/restaurant who is a massage therapist. She will come to your house lives right in my are of town. An hour for $55. Not bad do you think? I just decided I’m going to treat hubby and I b/c we love having them done. I need it to! OK, can’t think of anything else that needs to be said, just killing keys. I really want to be lying on a beach in the tropics with a drink in my hand. Anyone wanna join me in fantasy land? *hugs*
