Talking Thursday Chatters--It's February

Wow, it's time for hearts and flowers--February
If this is your first time to read this thread, please come join us.
We have lots of fun and we listen and give advice, if wanted.

We went to see Something's Got to Give. It was funny. I don't know why Jack Nicholson didn't get an Oscar nomination and the woman did. I guess it's because he didn't do a dramatical part.
After the movie, we went to Starbucks where we were both very good. We had tall hot chocolates, with non-fat milk/no whipping cream. It really, really needed whipping cream.

Is everyone ready for the SuperBowl?

Hi Friends,

I'm sorry that I have not posted this week. This has been a busy and tiring week for me. I'll try to be better at writing this week.

We don't plan on doing much for the Super Bowl today. It will be very low key. Pat's band played last night in Dallas so it was nice that we didn't have to be so far from home. I drove out and only stayed one set due to the smoke.

Have a great Sunday!

No big plans here either. Might watch part of the game, but not much. Football isn't my favorite sport. I'm more of a basketball person, or at least I used to be. I enjoy watching the cross country kids run in the fall. Hope Tim decides to stick with it next year. If he has an after school job, he may not be able to with all of his band activities too.

I haven't even finished reading the paper yet. After church we went out to eat, came home, took some cold medicine, and took a nap. It was nice! I think I'll go finish the paper. Plan to go to bed early tonight after a shot of Nyquil!! (hate the taste of that stuff!!)

I didn't get online here last night.
Tammy, sorry you had to take Nyquil. I've never had that stuff but have heard it's full of alchohol and makes you sleep.....guess that's not a bad thing when you feel crummy.

Susan, I hope you have a better week. It sounds like you were swamped.

Maureen, are you still working 2 jobs?

Sis, are you buried with snow? I've seen that it's everywhere over the country---except here.

We watched the SuperBowl. And, yes we saw Janet Jackson bearing herself. How disgusting!!!!!!! How can they say it wasn't planned????
I know that I used all of this week's flex points. I was afraid to weigh this morning. I thought it best to leave the scale alone today.
I don't think I ate unhealthy things----just too much.

I'm all ears if anyone wants to post.

Hi,
Hope everyone is doing great. I watched the Half time show. Tina, I'm right there with you. I think it was planned. It's funny that it came off in just the perfect spot. I can't believe it. Actually, I thought the entire show was lousy. What did you think about it?

It's chilly here. It's suppose to be pretty cold here on Friday. A high of 39. Brrrrrrr that's just too cold for me. I'm ready for spring.

I'm still feeling icky, but still going to school. Pretty silly, right?

I didn't watch the Super Bowl. Bob had it on, but was switching back and forth between stations. Tim went with some friends to a Super Bowl party sponsored by a youth group from one of the local churches. They had a really fun time. Jessica wasn't there, and he still had a good time. lol He got to see some kids that he had gone to school with in elementary before we moved here. That was nice.

A high of 39 sounds pretty nice to me right now! It has been so cold here. With the windchills, it has been well below zero. I definitely am ready for spring. Right now I'm ready for Nyquil and a nice warm bed!!! I will be healthy one of these days!

Tammy,

Take care of yourself!!! Have you gone to the doctor? Maybe you should. Do you have a cold or the flu? Are you going to school?

Good morning
Thought I'd post-I'm here every day reading even if I don't post often. I've decided to go to the noon meetings on thursday-I need some incentive & if I have to pay to weigh in that will help a bit. I think I have about 25 lbs to lose for my personal goal but I'll know for sure tomorrow.

I'm still working 2 jobs and still doing a lot of walking(this week anyway-last week was way too cold)

I'm also trying to quit smoking again-I'm on day 3 using the patch. So far I don't feel too bad. I'm planning on using the money I save and join the Y.

Well, I hope everyone has a good day

talk to you later

Susan, I haven't been to the doctor yet. I am feeling better today. I've been napping when I come home from school, and then I'm going to bed earlier than I usually do. My voice was pretty strong today too.

Maureen, glad to hear from you! I know what you mean about the weigh-ins. I've considered joining a local TOPS group since it's cheaper, just for the weigh in weekly. With 2 jobs and getting workouts in, you are one busy lady! Joining the Y sounds great!! I wish I could still go to Curves. I really enjoyed it when I was going. Just can't afford it right now.

Tina, how has your day been?

Hello,
Tammy, I'm glad you are feeling better. Going to bed early sounds like great idea.
Maureen, it's good tohear from you!!!!! Reading is good but we don't know what you're up to. You are still one busy lady. Good luck on non-smoking.

Susan, how is your week going?

Tonight I made a WW low fat recipe for tamale casserole. It wouldn't get done. I left it in the oven 15 extra minutes. We were about to starve. Finally, Larry went out and got burgers. ....very frustrating

Tina, that's too bad about the casserole. Wonder what the problem was?

Just saw a weather report. we're supposed to have freezing rain starting sometime this afternoon. Bah! We still have enough ice and snow around here. My room parents are supposed to meet in my room after school to plan the Valentine's Day Party. Hope they don't get iced out! I'm trying to come up with something to do while they are there. lol

I hope everyone snowed or iced in stays warm and safe.
It's a good time to visit a gym or do an exercise tape at home. I've been doing that Fast Track DVD. At first, the warm-up would tire me out.

Where is this week giong??? All my weeks seem to be flying by so fast. Don't ya wish the pounds would fly off as fast!

Hi

Well, I'm at work but have a few minutes. I'm hoping to make it to a noon meeting to weigh in and get started on program again. Since I've quit smoking I'm sure drinking all my water and more(I swear I slosh when I walk). I am trying to watch what I eat but my downfall is chocolate.

I hope you all have a good day and I'll post when I get back from WW & I'll let you know where I'm at weight wise(I know I've gained mega)
