  • Hi again. We talked about this article at WW this week:

    http://www.ajc.com/health/content/he...1603habit.html . The whole article is great, and concerns reducing breast cancer risks, but the last five paragraphs or so were what got my attention. The article specifies the difference in weight loss experienced by two groups of women, one that exercised 150 minutes a week, the other 200 minutes a week.

    This reminded me of something I read a few weeks ago...that one way of getting exercise in is to shoot for 20 - 10 minute walks in a week. I remember thinking, "I can do that." How about 10 - 20 minute walks? I just thought it was interesting that both articles came up with 200 minutes of movement (dancing to Cher, raking leaves, walking, sweeping the driveway). Yep, pretty attractive if it means I can increase my weight loss from 4.7 to 13.6% in the same amount of time!

    200 minutes a week, one turtle bite at a time!
