Jayne - you are a naughty girl!!!! Maybe I'll ask CB to take me to a strip club. I've never been. Perhaps I'd be more comfortable if I saw what it is like. Although, I can't imagine I'd ever be O.K. with the lapdance issue.

On the subject of overweight, i agree that personal hygiene and health awareness have alot to do with it-like, my DH has gained maybe 10 pounds since we've been married-but he has basically stopped exersizing, and that bothers me more than the 10 pounds(lord knows I've gained a lot more than 10!!)

On the subject of strip clubs, i may be shot for saying this, but i don't think it's a big deal at all to go for bachelor parties. Dh had two bachelor parties, and what bothered me more was that for one of them his friends hired two stippers to come to the party...there was a lot more that was done that i objected to in that realm than there would be at a strip club. I was more upset about that than the party where they took him to a strip club and got him a lap dance. It's mostly all about trying to embarass the bachelor guy. It deosn't bother me that he is looking at other women's bodies-we all look at other people's bodies-I stare at the gym sometimes! It doesn't mean i love him any less:) BUT, I think the important thing is that if it bothers you, he should respect that and not go. AND, if DH made it a habit, that I would object to. But most of our friends are married now, so it's really not an issue anymore (he actually said no to the last party because it was going to be too expensive) The lure is hanging out with the guys, not the strippers....Just my 2 cents

I am doing well. I am 13weeks 2 days now, starting to show a little, but haven't gained any weight which is really good.

I have been busy building mulch beds and planting bushes this summer, and watching my kids swim in our pool. It has been nice. I also have been extremely busy with grad school, but it will be over for the summer in two weeks, so I will finally have some open computer time at work to come back and post.

We leave for our family trip in three weeks. We are vising Raleigh NC. I have never been there and am excited. My BIL is getting married there so we are going to that, then we have rented a beach house on one of the islands off of NC for the next week.

Well, I apologize for making this post all about me!

I will catch up on the posts and try to post properly tomorrow.

Hey Rina! - I've watched some of BB but cause it's on at all strange times on different days I don't watch with any regularity. I can't wait for AR tomorrow night!! I'm very excited.
And to the strip club attendees...I've been a couple of times, it's all in good fun. Sometimes really skanky and sometimes really talented dancers. I mostly go to embarass the guys who suggest it when I take them up on their offer.

What an interesting discussion this has been! The board hasn't been hopping like this in a long time. Laura, I think maybe you just need to have a heart to heart with BF. Like someone said, I think the once in a while visit isn't so bad because (like a bach. party), it's just funny. But when it becomes an all-the-time thing, I think that's when we should all worry.

This talk reminded me of something: The people who rented our house before us didn't change their addresses right away, and for a few months we got their mail. It was a married couple. Every month Playboy would come, as well as Fredericks of Hollywood catalogues all addressed to him. I guess the wife accepted all that, but for me, I wouldn't like it!

This thread is seriously moving so fast I can't keep up! Not with it AND work... sigh.

Lexxy - no you're not the only single gal left... i am too - but i keep trying to convince myself i like it better that way....

cuba - mmmm bratwursts on the grill. i had some of those on the 4th of july, part of my vacation where i didn't worry about what i ate (played enough volleyball to burn it off anyway!) ... but definitely eat a lot of salad & fruit because they're basically big greasy sausages -- but they're good!

speaking of going to strip clubs... no i've never actually been to one, but i felt like it last weekend. at our campground, it was one crazy party - some people actually brought DJ equipment and a pole for girls to dance around, up on a stage. so there were a bunch of these girls dancing at least half-naked around this pole all drunk - the guys were lined up all around them. but for those of us who actually wanted to have a good time, it was just strange, considering there was no way I was getting naked up there!

i have been to a strip club once and it is no big deal really and the women really have no interest in going home with your hubby. like i said if it is every once in a while who cares. but thats my opinion and my marriage and if it bothers you that much he needs to know and he needs to respect that. my hubby gets playboy and we watch porn and that doesn't make me a freak or you a prude, everyone is different! :)
