Hi all,
Sorry to move over so quickly but my computer wasn't scrolling on the last thread.
Anyway - So my meeting on wed was ok - i don't like this leader but i knew that going in. i can drive 30 minutes to the center once in a while on weekends if i need to speak with someone else. meenwhiule i'm just using it to weigh in consistantly.
Weigh in was a shock. I'm 2 lbs lighter than the day i walked into the hospital to give birth!! So that gave me new resolve. I'm about 5 lbs heavier than when I joined after having my second child - but Iwasn't nursing anymore then. So, I could very well have 5lbs worth of breasts! Anyway, I can't believe how much extra food I can have while nursing - 10 extra points per day!! And trust me, I've needed them. I should only lose like 1 lb per week though, they say that's healthier while nursing.
So, I've been op since Thursday, and it hasn't been too bad. I forgot what it was like to be hungry but I'm certainly making better choices on snacks and such. No more junk. Lots of fruits and veggies. I'm measuring everything just to get back into real portions. So far so good - each day it is a little easier.
Sounds like everyone is doing well -
Lynn - Happy Anniversary! Do you have big plans for next year??
Theresa & Cindy - hope y'all are having a great time!! And yes cindy, exercise is key for me too. I've started walking again daily, and now I have to add other activities as time permits.
robin - good luck with th WW at home - I think the journal is the most important. Remember not to weigh yourself every day. I'll fill you in on meeting topics if you think it will help. Potty training already??? Jeez it seems like yesterday that you announced you were pregnant. Time does fly - I cant believe my oldest is 9. Emmett is 5 1/2 months already!! It's harder when you know it's your last...
Ellie - setting small goals is very smart - it is very motivating to be successful - keep hitting those small goals and before you know it you'll be buying new cloths in a smaller size! Hang in there!
Jill - regarding the pictures - viv posted a picture of her and her son a year or two ago and I sent out a picture of me with my family with Christmas Cards in 1998 (jeez have we been up that long?) Also, I think one of the baby pictures of Emmett that viv e-mailed around had me in it. Send me your e-mail addy, I'll send you the pics. My e-mail is

viv - 6 lbs already? Excellent. I've tried to encorporate a lot of the sb foods into my daily intake but it is hard while i'm nursing because i can't have sugar substitutes (nutrasweet or anything) so things like sugar free yogurt or hot choc are out. I do eat lots of whole wheat/whole grain foods - bread, cereal, brown rice, etc. and try to pay attention to sugar grams. Yesterday my daughter's basketball team lost in the playoffs, so we took the girls out for icecream at this super fabulous old fashioned ice cream parlor - and you all know my weekness for ice cream. Well, i'm happy to say that i had a tall glass of seltzer and wasn't even that tempted (even though all the adults had sundaes too!) Big step for me. Sugar cravings go away i think after a certain amount of time without. lucky for me.
Well - Emmett is trying to type for me - or eat the keyboard or something. time to run. have a good sunday.
