Hi girls thatnsk for all of your thoughts on Shawn. I kind of wondered about depression too but DH says he has always been like this-as long as he can remember. Too weird. But if he does have a chemical imbalance maybe he has always had it & that's why his behaviour seems normal to his family. I think I will write him a letter. I won't have time today but definitely will find time for it tomorrw.
Jayne, thanks for the compliment about insight :) I have been through some real tough crap in my life & have had to find ways to survive. DH's family hasn't had any major crisis (thank goodness) so I think maybe that's why these guys have no way to put things in perspective & realize what should be a big issue & what is really a nonissue. Jen, Hope that things go better with Emma tonight & that you all get some sleep. Did she anything about Halloween that would have scared her yesterday? When I was little I was so terrified of Halloween. Lori, your effort at the gym is motivating me. After I finish my house cleaning I'm going to do some strength training here at home. Cat, Sounds like you had a fun Halloween! BTW I wouln't take drugs or do surgery either for the same reasons as you. It can't be good to mess with your body like that. Kieri, Good for you for asking for respect! You go girl! Jihan, now that the hard part is over have a nice relaxing weekend! You deserve it! Is anyone doing anything exciting this weekend? I have to work tomorrow. DH switched departments at work & now he has to be there by 6:30 so I doubt that we'll be going out at all. At least I should get lots oaccomplished around the house. I'm sure I'll be popping in here too. Have a great OP weekend girls. -Rina |
Good Morning , afternoon or evening depending on your time zone.
I answered activity in the poll because I would most enjoy being active over eating healthy all the time or taking pills all the time or having surgery. I still remember when I realized I could run without being in sever pain - it was such a great feeling! Rina - I agree with the others - classic depression symptoms. If he was a teenager I might be suspicious about drug use too. It's good of you and DH to be there for him but in the same way, don't make it too easy. If he has no need to find himself a place to live or a better job or go back to school because he has everything he needs at your place, and if he probably won't leave which may make things difficult for you and your husband. The letter sounds like a good idea. He needs to know that there are people there for him no matter what he does with his life. Good luck Jayne - a cleaning lady! what a great idea! More time to spend with your family in a clean environment. I say go for it!! Lori - way to go workout queen! Keep up the good work. Jen - Poor little thing - did you guys have any fireworks scaring her the last little while? Kier - respect is soo important!! If he's not respecting you, you let him know! Cat - It's so hard to not "overhear" through those thin walls isn't it? PJ - hope your results come fast! Hi to anyone I missed. Gotta go make some labels. KT |
