Talking Thursday's Silly Poll and Thread -- don't we all need a laugh?

Ok, here it is, the silliest poll I could think of. Enjoy!

In a battle, with all things being equal, who do you think would win out of these people?

.I thought we all needed a bit of a laugh today.

Still no change on MIL's mom...thanks for your thoughts and prayers on this.

I am heading off to have day o' Halloween parties with my classes, then home to take my little bumblebee out trick-or-treating. I'll try to post a picture or two tomorrow so you all can see how he looked.

So here's my thinking on the way I answered the poll. I picked Yoda. Batman relies on his toys, Superman is no good anywhere where there's crypotonite, how many people could Wonderwoman realistically expect to lasso, the Terminator is a one-weapon kind of a fighter...if he drops that gun, he's done, and Buffy is cute and all, but really is just no match fr Jedi mind tricks. So is this a completel geek poll, or what?
Can't wait to hear your poll answers!

Yoda- obviously! He's just such a cool little guy. So far OP today, I even got up and went for a walk early this morning. It's gotten cold all of a sudden- nice! There's a chance of snow this weekend, I'm excited!

Come out and post, everyone!

Naw - Buffy - she's always got the Scooby gang to back her up and Willow could take Yoda any day.

I've been reading posts but have been having such an awful week that I really can't remember what I wanted to say other than that Carmen is a cutie!

WARNING - VENTAGE BELOW
I feel just wretched today. I was already in tears at work because of work by 9am this morning. I've had heated discussions with 3 co-workers and been chewed out by Finance twice - for stuff other people did (apparently I'm supposed to be able to control the spending habits of 72 people). Normally this wouldn't land me in tears but it has been an awful week at work, my grandparents were visiting and between the helpfulness they provided (such as washing purple towels with white sheets and putting away the dishes - in all the wrong cabinets) and getting caught between them and some other family members dealing with issues, their visit was hard. This week at work has been terrible - must be something in the air - not only am I swamped but I can't stay out of the political stuff. Plus CB and I haven't had a civil conversation since sometime last week. I think it's less about us though and more about we've both had a bad 2 weeks at work and have major family stuff going on. I think because we've only been able to communicate via phone and e-mail that we keep accidentally pushing buttons instead of being more understanding than usual.

Naturally with all of this, I'm eating out of emotion and it aint' pretty! Plus then I beat myself up for eating terribly when I was so close to goal. I just wish I could learn that a bad day is not an excuse for eating everything in sight! Ugh!

OK, end of whining. I'm going to go get a diet coke to "enhance my calm" and I'll be back later to be a little less self-centered and a little better friend to you guys.

Hey all. I am having a cruddy emotional week. I am chalking it up to hormones, but I know it is more than that. UGHHH.

OH HAPPPY HALLLLOWEEEEN

I think Aaaanold could beat up anyone. I am not a Buffy fan, she is a vampire killer but can she beat up anyone else?? And yoda, cute little thing, but Someone bigger than him could step on him!

Cat, so sorry about the accident. Glad you are OK. Bummer on the childish roomates. I was just telling people at work that I am not very good at living with women. They irritate me too much. Maybe because I am one too! Good luck and tell her to shush up!

Laura, Hope your mood gets better. I had a crying spell last night, so I know how you feel. Sometimes it just all piles up and you need to let it out!

OK, supposed I should get some work done. We are having a halloween potluck today. I brought a caramel apple salad that is also a WW recipe. Tho I didn't make it totally WW because I can't have nutrasweet while PG. I licked the spoon this morning and it was nummmmy!

Sorry - financial assistance for Simon Fraser University. I help students with their loans and bursary and Scholarship applications.
Kier - Licorice is low fat - a good snack!! As far as surgery goes...I think you really need to weigh your options and exactly what it would mean. I don't know which surgery you are looking at but there are always side effects to any surgery. A friend of mine who did the surgery later had to have plastic surgery because the weight came off too fast and she had excess skin (I'm sure we've all heard of that one) but other weird things happened too, for example, she cannot go for more than four or five hours without food - that means she actually has to wake up in the middle of the night and eat. One thing you wouldn't have to worry about is getting in the right kinds of food. She still eats horribly. She has no idea about basic nutrition. Of course, coming from a WW background, you would be fine for that. Anyway - just thought I would throw in some advice. I just suggest knowing all you need to know before going ahead. If it worked for your sister and she's happy she can be one of your best sources of information. Make the decision that makes you happy because in the end, that's the important thing.
