Wednesday Weigh In!

Hi everyone!

I was searching for a Wed Weigh in. It looks like some folks might be interested, so let's get this going! I have noticed that the WW forums overall don't have a lot of new activity. Maybe we could change that?!?

Anyway, I don't weigh in until this evening, so I will come back and post (hopefully a loss) then.

Good luck to everyone today. Hope the scale is good to you. Stay OP and enjoy your day!

:cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:: cheer:

What are you working on this week, ladies? I'm trying to get some exercise in everyday this week. I already miss two days this week because I was sick, but am trying to do at least 30 mins of walking for the rest of the week.

Hi everyone!
I would also like to join in Wednesday weigh-in group.
I've been trying to lose those pounds for the last 3 years but only with ww I had some result.
Now I have to be back on track because Christmas was a bit disastrous on my diet..so here I am!:hat:

Yesterday's weigh :195.6 pounds

Good luck everybody!:goodluck:

(I sometimes weigh on Sundays too, in that case I'll let you know)

loulou75 02-07-2011 03:25 AM

Good morning! Nobody is here???
Well, so far I have only lost 1 pound:).
So today 194.6 (I could have lost more I know:D but that's ok as fas I don't go up!)

Anybody here???

loulou75 02-09-2011 01:53 AM

As I can see, nobody is here but I'll keep on posting as this keeps me motivated!
Today weigh-in: 193.4!
That means a loss of 2.2 pounds in less than a week!
I'm satsified as long as the scale keeps going down!
See you soon!

AuntLoopy 02-11-2011 04:08 PM

Yup, we need a bunch of Wednesday weighers here! I do my WW weigh-in on Wednesdays simply because I'm a minister who undertakes a mandatory sunrise-to-sunset fast every Wednesday, so why not get weighed in with an empty belly each week??? ;)

Anyways, I just completed 3 weeks on the WW program. My weekly weight-loss on Wednesday was 0.8 pounds, for a grand total of 9.0 pounds so far.

My experience so far: it's easier to fast entirely than to eat moderately. Isn't that weird? But eating moderately is what will keep me losing weight for the long haul, so I'm willing to learn how to deal with it.

JenB77 02-11-2011 07:00 PM

Wow I totally forgot about this thread! I was down 0.8 this week too :)

Haley8203 02-12-2011 04:37 PM

Hi I'm going to be a Wednesday weigh-in'er starting this week. I just rejoined this morning. First time on points plus.

Haley8203 02-15-2011 09:29 PM

first official weigh in tomorrow yay!

loulou75 02-16-2011 01:59 AM

Good morning!
No loss today! Does anybody else have water retention at ovulation??I feel sore all over...

AuntLoopy 02-17-2011 07:01 PM

Hi all!

LouLou, I used to gain a shoe size during ovulation, and it didn't go away till Auntie Flo arrived. I literally had different shoes for Days 1-14 and Days 15-28. Nowadays, my dear old auntie no longer comes to visit, and unfortunately my feet are stuck at the bigger size permanently. *sigh*

Sorry for the delay in writing about my weigh-in. Hubby had surgery (he's doing fine), and I got into WW for a Wednesday morning meeting instead of my regular 4 p.m. because I'd taken the day off to care for him. So I don't expect any noticeable weight loss NEXT week, when I'll be back on schedule. But in the meanwhile, the scale showed a 2-pound loss this week, for a total of 11 pounds in four weeks. :o I'm boggled by it all, considering that health issues prevent me from exercising, and that even the WW leader had told me on Day One that lupus patients often have a lot of trouble losing weight.

So now of course I'm building up my nerves to withstand the break-even or slight give-back that will probably occur next Wednesday afternoon. While hoping against hope that it won't really matter, and I'll do okay if I just follow the program carefully -- it's a long-term process, after all. I just hate to pay $12 to hear bad news... ;)

loulou75 02-18-2011 04:24 AM

AuntLoopy
Thank you for the support, because I thought it was just my idea, that it didn't happen to anybody else! And that's true I'll be stuck to this weight until I get my period..That used to meke me frustrated but now I know and just go on my diet...

I wish you the best for your husband and a quick recovery of course.
And congrats on your weight loss despite the lack of exercise:carrot:
I don't do any exercise either, I'm not the type of running and going to the gym. I feel embarassed saying so but I'm getting so bored just thinking about it..but if I finally make my mind and move myself I like it afterwards..

Today I've made a vegetable soup with the hope that tomorrow I'll see some little loss..

Have a nice day everybody!:hat:

loulou75 02-23-2011 03:46 AM

Good morning everybody! How is it going?

Weigh-in today and I got to 193.2 from the previous 193.4 which is of course a ridiculous loss, but it's the first day of TOM so I'm expecting much better the next few days. Also, comparing to other TOMs weigh-ins when I was always more than I expected I'm thrilled for having even that tiny loss:carrot:

So, where are you??

shcirerf 02-23-2011 08:29 AM

I'll chime in.

I WI on Tues but whatever. 159. Same as last week, but I was very dehydrated from the flu last week, so I'm good with it.

HopefulAgain 02-23-2011 11:26 AM

Finally met my 5% goal to total 14 pounds!!! Most weight I've ever lost consistently!!!!!

loulou75 02-23-2011 03:06 PM

Well done hopeful!

Mrs Mom 02-23-2011 10:15 PM

I weigh in on Tues evenings, so I'd like to join you all. Last night was first weigh in.......to be continued.

JenB77 02-24-2011 12:08 AM

Down 1.6 tonight woot woot!! Trying to keep my eye on the prize, how far I have come, not how far I still have to go!

AuntLoopy 02-24-2011 02:11 PM

Hi all! Weighed in on Wednesday afternoon. I wasn't expecting much because I'd weighed in at 10 a.m. last week and lost 2 pounds then. Figured that I'd be lucky to break even. But I lost another 2.4 pounds this week, and made my 5% goal! It still amazes me that Weight Watchers works, after doing so many diets in the past (and living with lupus, which means steroids and other medication with weight-gain side effects). Till I tried this, I was on a sloooooow losing trend (perhaps 10 pounds per year from a high of 285 down to 244 when I started WW). Now my metabolism seems to be kick-started.

loulou75 02-28-2011 03:49 AM

That's awesome AuntLoopy!:bravo:
I find ww the most efficient diet I have ever tried too even though I don't stay in track all days.

This weekend for example I was on a trip so I couldn't and didn't want to count points...so after a looooong premenstrual phase when I'm finally done with it I destroy everything by going to that trip..
For me, there are always reasons to spoil my program, that's why the loss becomes sooooo sloooooww...:o

nancylmrn 02-28-2011 02:56 PM

Thought I would join you lovely chicks!
My wiegh in is on Sunday morning since I do ww at home I was down 4lbs after a two week stall. I was so excited I have never lost that much at one time. So 8 lbs in 5 weeks not to bad!

madamwu 03-01-2011 12:02 PM

Hi everybody. I used 3Fat Chicks alot when I was last on this journey, back in 2000. Ten years later, I'm back on Weight Watchers, only this time I hope I will finally learn to keep it off.
I weigh in on Weds. Started last August, have lost 23 pounds so far--it comes off really slow.
I mostly have trouble on weekends. Tracking gets difficult when we eat out. I thought I was doing okay this week, but according to my scale I gained 2 pounds in 1 day! I realize it might have been the salt in the ham causing me to retain water. Thought I would push water today and hope I can flush it out before tommorrow's weigh in.
Wish me luck!

Mrs Mom 03-01-2011 09:26 PM

Hello Everyone,
First weigh in on program----down 2.8! :carrot: Great for me with thyroid issues and just coming off prednisone. Liking the free fruits and veggies a lot!

Onward!

shcirerf 03-01-2011 10:26 PM

WI tonight for me. Down 1.2! Solidly under 160 for 3 weeks in a row now!:carrot:

157.8

loulou75 03-02-2011 04:24 AM

Welcome nancy,madamwu,Mrs mum and shcierf!
Well done to those who lost weight!
I'm down 1 pound today as I have the same problem with madamwu I can't keep track when I'm out..and I've been out all weekend!
So I'm happy with that!:carrot:

However, I'll weigh-in on Saturday too because I feel I'm flushing salt out these days so I hope for a better result..:p

madamwu 03-02-2011 11:56 AM

:p
Thanks for the welcome.

Weighed this morning at meeting-down 1.6! Morale of the story-don't trust your home scale even if it is a WW scale.

Good luck to the rest of you!

AuntLoopy 03-02-2011 11:59 AM

Wow everyone! This is most amazing! You're giving me hope.

For some reason, I'm feeling pudgy today. My belly seems to be sticking out and my clothes are feeling weird. I know that I've followed the program diligently, but I still feel worried every Wednesday. My weight loss has been rather consistent, and I'm waiting for the backlash, if you know what I mean.

The good news is that the DH has agreed that I should get the Weight Watchers monthly pass. I argued successfully that getting it in March (when I have five weigh-ins) would save us $20 right away. So why not do it now? He'd been hoping that I'd decide that the meetings weren't important to my weight loss, but I really look forward to them every week. So he eventually agreed that I should continue attending, and as cheaply as possible.

Anyways, I'll be back after W/I this afternoon, come what may.

shcirerf 03-08-2011 10:02 PM

Down another pound! 156.8. Woo Hoo!

Mrs Mom 03-09-2011 07:30 PM

Up???

2nd week on program and up 2.2!
Frustrated because I keep close track of what I'm eating, logging it on my paper tracker and iphone. I average 28.5 points a day and used only 7 weeklies. WW leader recommended cutting back on bananas. I usually have one every day, she said to try cutting back to 1 every other day. I will, but I love my bananas to bulk up my yogurt and ff ice cream.
Wierd thing is that a couple people who don't know I'm back at ww commented that I look as though I've lost weight???
I sure hope next week is better!:?:

shcirerf 03-09-2011 07:56 PM

MrsMom, don't give up. Could it be getting to TOM? It could just be water. Were you eating sodium laden foods? Hang in there.

madamwu 03-10-2011 10:43 AM

I keep telling myself its heading down, that is all that matters. Down only .2 pounds this week, even though my home scale said 2 pounds! Interestingly, this was the first week I really tried not to use up all my weekly allowance points. Maybe I should go back to using them? It makes no sense.

AuntLoopy 03-10-2011 02:28 PM

It's my jubilee week: today is my 49th day on the WW program!

W/I yesterday afternoon: down another 2.2 pounds for a grand total of 16.0.

It was a tough week; I got sick after my annual (14-vial!) lupus blood testing panel. Then the water company blew up the sewers at the end of the road, so we were without water and cooking gas for three days. Then I picked my weekly case of bananas (yup, we eat 'em at every meal around here!), but they'd been dropped or frozen enroute, and went bad within 48 hours.

I got so mad at it all, that I insisted on following the WW program no matter what. Carried food and books to the motel for the night when we couldn't get back to the house because the road was destroyed. Didn't add points even when I was feeling exhausted from the blood tests (and the butcher who needed to re-seat the IV after every second or third vial). Went out and bought bananas AT RETAIL (heaven forbid!)

I'm glad that I made the decision. It helped to build a little bit of willpower, I guess.
