Default Good Morning!

Just stopping in for a minute to say good morning. I need to put my face on (I WAY overslept this morning because I was up late last night sawing grout--I'm such an animal) and get a little work started, but I did want to stop in.

Had WI last night. I was down .8. Not a big loss, but hey, after a month of being back up after every loss, any loss is a good one. So, I now weigh 163. I don't think I'm going to make my Labor Day goal of being down 10 lbs, but who knows?

Saffista--Way to go reaching your 10%!!!! That's such a great accomplishment and I bet you feel SO good! Congratulations!

Mmmmkay, that's all for now. I gotta get my face on and get a little work done. I'll check back in later!!

Red face I'm here!

Not much time to post, but I wanted to check in and let you know I'm okay. Thanks, Laura and Tonya, for worrying about me!

I started law school on Monday, and this week and next are tough - I have class from 6-9 Mon-Fri after working from 8:30-5. And to top it off, I have a terrible cold this week, so it has not been fun. After next week, I will start my normal schedule, which is Mon, Wed and Thurs from 6-9 and Sat from 10-12. It may take a little getting used to so I apologize if I am not around much for a while. But I will try to pop in occassionally to see how everyone is doing.

Jess - I am glad to see you broke thru that plateau!! WOO HOO!

Belle - 16 more days!! How exciting! I remember when I was counting the days until I went to Italy. I am trying to plan my next trip so that I have something to look forward to again. I'm thinking London in January, but I also want to go somewhere for Spring Break (wow - I haven't used those words in a while!!) in March so I'm not sure.

Speaking of London, Kirsty, where are you??? I better be able to meet you if I get to London!

There is nothing else up with me. I have already realized that between work and school, I won't have any time for a life. I hope the people in my class end up being cool so I can at least be a bit social with them. I also need to find time to keep running. I only ran once this week, and that was at 10 pm when I got home from school, so I wasn't very energetic and only went about 3 miles. I figure I don't have school 3 days a week and I just need to be disciplined enough to run those 3 days. Let's hope I can do it!

Take care ladies!
Have a good weekend!!

Hey all... I am here and glad it is Friday. But my weeks are so long lately that it all mushes together. Have another interview today, keeping my fingers crossed!!

Jen.. WOW, your life sounds hectic. More hectic than taking care of a 2 year old! Good luck to you!!!!

Jess... YIPPPPEEEE on the loss. I agree with Belle, round that number up to 1 pound. That is awesome and you should be soo happy that you are on a downward trend again!! Yah!!!

This day is going to go very slow, I just feel it, Ughhh!!!

Talking TGIF!!!

Happy Friday, ladies!

Saffista, I was thrilled for you when I read your post...I think this deserves a *special* graphic:

Jen, I'm sorry you have to start out on such a rotten note...nothing worse than trying to be alert through a summer cold. At least in the winter, you feel as though you're supposed to have colds, but in the summer, it's just all wrong! Let us know about the coursework, etc. Right now I'm just wrapped up in studying for the LSATs...I can't imagine making it as far as you!

Belle, Morrocan food, I've never had that. Lots of yogurt-based sauces and spiciness, right? Sounds healthy...was there a Belle-ydancer there? Hehe, get it? I just crack myself up...even if that is an old tired joke, I at least thought of it and resurrected it. I'm excited to hear about Thailand when you get back...the beaches are supposed to be incredible. Have you seen that movie with Claire Danes when she is in Thailand and gets set up and ends up in prison? Not that that's gonna happen, I just remember how incredible the film location looked, well, outside the prison, that is.

Jess, yee-haw, the plateau is OVER!!! You stuck it out, and I'm proud of you. You are such a handy girl. Want to come to southern MN? My shower needs regrouting badly...when we bought the house, we discovered a lot of the tiles had been temporarily stuck on with glue that came off as soon as we ran the shower the first time. Nice...

Aaron is still sleeping (he's never slept this late before! I'd suspect that he was dead, except that I have the monitor on and he's got a little whistle to his breathing) so I already got all my housework done. Feels good to say at 9:20 a.m. When he wakes up we're going shopping for a new suit for me to do a job interview in. Hubby gave me a nice-sized budget, so I'm looking forward to a little spendorama. He told me to go the whole nine yards with jewelry and everything, so I'm taking him at his word. I guess his MBA classes have taught him the importance of details when looking professional. I know he's started dressing better since he started them, and now it looks like I'll reap the benefits of that too!

I'll check in later if the babe doesn't wake up soon.

Morning, Jen...we were posting at the same time. I'll cross my fingers and toes for you that this is your last interview. I remember it being more nerve wracking as the interviewer and not the interviewee, surprisingly enough...I was always afraid I'd miss some big sign that they were child abusers (I was a preschool director) and that it would be all on my head with a big lawsuit, I hope you're not as mental as I was. Hope Miss Emma let you get a good night sleep last night!

Default Don't get a complex

Jayne--No need to get a complex. I just got back from break and have to get to meeting soon. I just found out yesterday that I'm the new secretary for the leadership team I'm on. I don't know if this is a permanent change or if I'm just doing it until we elect a new one. I don't know...

It's not you, it's just that everyone got busy.

I'll come back and post as soon as I can (I owe everyone a response!)

Well, I was mostly kidding, but thanks for the reality check. Secretary to a leadership team...I always like being group secretaries because then I can keep myself awake in meetings by taking notes.

Jayne, not the greatest night again. She woke up twice and woke up early again. Just nuts I tell you!! Must be going through a stage. Also the dog chewed a hole in the butt of her Minnie beanie and she LOVES this doll. Sleeps with it, takes it with her. So I sent her on a walk with dad and I did my best to put stitches in her and stuff the beans back in. We are going to Disneyland in 3 weeks, so she may get a new one then. She slept with her, and didn't really notice that she was all ratty and that the red bled into the white dots on her dress.

Jess, I agree with Jayne, at least the meetings aren't as boring then!!!

Hi all! Another busy Friday ... sorry I can't talk.

Going to a concert tonight, Goo-Goo Dolls, Michelle Branch, & Vanessa Carleton. I'm excited about it.
We had a big storm here but it's passed now. There was a big, scary lightening hit before.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I've got a training walk for tomorrow AM (3DayNY), and working all weekend.

Gotta get going! Have a great weekend!
