Hi girls!!
I am here to stay!! After feeling like I have been in lurksville for weeks, and eating everything in my path. I am taking a hard look at myself and realizing that crying about my shorts being too tight and in the same breath ordering a pizza, is getting me nowhere but FAT!! I have to take control for myself!! I had a talk with DH last night, and he, too, isn't happy with himself gaining about 15 pounds in the last few months, so we are doing this together! So, far, today, I am totally OP. Only at 10 pts. I know I can do this....I want my clothes to fit again and feel good!! :) So, I think a big part of my weight loss efforts is constantly posting with all of you, so I am here!! Lexxy ~ I am sorry to hear about your BF, I have always believed that if you can ask yourself "Can I picture my life without him" and say "yes" then it is time to move on. While in a relationship, if you are having more sad days than happy days, it really should tell you something. I am glad to see you are talking though. Communication is key. We all are here for ya!! :) Lisa ~ I love Hoochie shirts!! I am a closet sl*t! I love sexy clothes...leather pants, spike heel leather boots, tight t-shirts, short shorts....now, if only I could be skinny enough to wear them!! I am glad your date went well! If nothing else, you are having a good time, see how things progress!! Hi Ali!! Jen ~ I am so glad you started the journal thread again, I need your support. Way to go on the 10K, you are my exercise idol!!!!!! Jen ~ Glad to see you posting again, can't wait to see the pics of emma!! Kier ~ I love New Jersey. My best friend (that I was with this weekend, see below) lives in Hamilton, which is a suburb of Trenton. I flew out last year to visit her. I love it out there. My ideal guy is an italian, New Jersey man. I could look and talk to him all day. Of course, I think Tony Soprano in a weird way is hot, so take this with a grain of salt!!!!! :D A big "Hello" to Becky, KT, Cat, PJ, Belle, Jess, Jayne, Lucy....and all that I missed!!! All you single (and not single) bar going girls should appreciate this story....My best friend and I went out to the local bars this weekend, we were looking pretty good I think. I walked up to the bar to order a couple drinks and said "Hi' to a cute, 21 year old (he didn't look very old, so I am guessing his age) guy. A little while later I saw my SIL talking to the guy, she came up to me and told me, he was asking about me, he told her that "I was pretty hot for a 31 year old". I told my SIL, thanks a lot for telling him my age!! So, I dont know if it was a compliment or not!! :D Well ladies, better look busy. I just finished my lunch....fat free milk and a tuna sandwich....I'm doing good!!!! |
Hi Everybody - I'm here, I'm here - I'm going to be crazy busy this week so I'll say a general hi to all and I went to WI on Saturday and I'm down 1.2 which means only .1# till my August 10th goal (I hope I hold out till then!!!)

Tonya - I think James Gandolfini is HOT!!!!!! All of my friends think I am nuts, so I was so happy to see that you think he is hot, too. In some weird, unexplicable way, he really turns me on!

Jen ~
My secret fantasy is to be a mob boss's wife/mistress. I would be perfect at it (maybe I was in a past life!?!?) I know exactly what I would wear: leopard tight mini skirt dress, matching leopard skin spike heels and a matching purse. GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRAAAA! (That was my sexy purring voice!) Hee, hee.....I love mob shows....it doesn't matter who plays the mob boss, I think he is hot. Armand Assante has been one of the more sexier ones though! :) Ok, I am stopping now, before I won't be able to concentrate here at work!!! I am closer to the mob than you think though....I, of course, is an anglo-saxon as they get, born and raised in the lovely midwest. But, my DH's dad and grandfather grew up in Brooklyn.....so, when his Uncle's come to visit, I get to listen to the accent all day long! :) |
Tonya! I have the same secret fantasy!! My fav. movie is good fellas and I just ADORE mob stuff!
sick, i know. ok. back to work |
Maybe we should think about a support group for all the closet James Gandolfini lovers. I'd be a member, too! One night, while BF and I were watching Sopranos, I told him that I think James G is sexy. He told me I'm a freak. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks he's hot.
Not much else to say, but wanted my chance to come out of the closet about Gandolfini... I'm super-grumpy this afternoon and have a headache, to make things even worse... Only anoth 1 and 1/2 hours, I can do it... I hope. |
Who'd have thunk it? I think we need to rename this place Gandolfini lover's anon instead off ww 20's support:) He does have a weird sort of appeal! Or maybe we should call ourselves the "Freeing my Inner Slut" group? I know when I get skinny, I am definitely going to be flaunting it a bit. Reminds me of last Halloween, my friends and I went as whores. I had a pleather skirt, fishnets, knee high boots, and a very see-through top. I will have to find a pic sometime to post for you guys:) Of course, that was when I was thinner. Maybe I should make it my goal to be the same thing for Halloween this year!
Well, I actually had a pretty good weekend. I spent a lot of time finishing up the sweater I'm knitting, and you can't eat and knit at the same time! And, I measured myself Sunday. I've lost a 1/4 inch off my waist, and get this, 3/4 of an inch off my thigh! In one week! I guess it's all the walking I've been doing. And my clothes that have been just a bit too small for a while are def. starting to fit better. So I am pretty darned happy at the moment:D Oh, and I went and checked out all the new pics on the photo thread. You lot all look great! KT- You are awesome about getting to your goals! 0.1 is nothing. You can totally do it! Tonya- Isn't it funny how when you feel crappy about your body, it's so much easier to eat badly? I basically spent all of last spring feeling like I looked horrible and then going and eating junk! As soon as I start to feel thinner though, I start to eat better. Anyway, I find that posting here has been a definite morale boost, so keep coming! Kier- If your friends said to invite him, invite him. But you might want to figure out how your other friend feels about the guy too before you start making any serious moves on him. Lisa- YOU ARE GOING TO WEAR THAT SHIRT!!! :) And sounds like things are just peachy with Brian. Hope the work situation settles down a bit soon. Lexxy- Welcome back! JenK- Great job on the 10k. You are a running inspiration! Laura- definitely toss the food. You don't need the temptation around. JenL- can't wait to see the Emma pics (I love pictures!!!) Jess- (and anyone else who scrapbooks...I think Lisa also?) What the heck is scrapbooking? I need to get all my old photos and bits of paper from various trips and things organized, is that what you guys are doing? Lucy- Sounds like your weekend was not too bad. As long as you aren't having a total food blowout on Saturday and are really OP the rest of the week, it probably isn't the end of the world. Jayne- the diaper derby sounds hilarious! Babies are so funny. Actually, little kids in general. I will have to tell you all about the kids I babysit sometime...they say some of the funniest things! Ok, gotta run! Cat |
James Gandolphini ROCKS my world!
Ok, so put me down as a member in James Gandolphini Lusters Anonymous! Even in that robe with his belly hanging out -- Hello! Take me! We have soprano parties every Sunday during the show season, and none of the men can understand how Tony gets such hot babes -- well, I would never tell hubby, but I can totally see how hot chicks would flock to him!
Jess, I hope your headache gets better! Just imagine getting to go home and take a long nap! I gotta tell you, I'd be pretty grumpy if I worked with, in the immortal words of Kier, **** beasts too! I do think you should do the consultant thing...when I think of what I pay my Creative Memories and Stampin' It Up consultants in a month, it makes me queasy! I'm thinking about getting into something like that too, although mine is gourmet foods. It's called Tastefully Simple. Thank God it's too expensive for me to eat a lot of, but it sells really well and the profit margin is quite impressive. Let me know, if you decide to do this, how you like it...might help me make my decision! Tonya, my FIL and his family grew up in Brooklyn and Jersey too...however, they are definitely more Hesch than Soprano, seeing as how they are Jewish. But they did go back to their old neighborhood in Jersey and take the Sopranos tour...pretty cool KT...you can do it! Just drink until you float away and that last pound will fall right off! I have faith in you, girl!!! Kier, I think you should go ahead and extend the invite and just let things run their course. Things will look funny if you refuse either the guy or the girls, and so what if he's a little younger...it just means he's closer to his prime;). Kind of unfair that men hit it so much earlier than women! Lisa, ~diet coke diet coke diet coke~ hope those vibes help! Go weigh in, it's always much worse to wonder than it is just to know! And then you can sit and listen to the layoff meeting (how depressing!). And then all the rotten stuff will be over with and you can just start fresh from there. I'm married to an engineer, and why is it that no matter where they work, someone's always getting laid off? He's been through that twice in the five years he's been out of college! Got my fingers crossed for you, lady! PJ, I missed S&C last night because my parents were visiting and they wouldn't have appreciated it! But hubby and I have a date to watch it tonight...I can't wait! Have funo n your birthday...it's once a year, just try to make it sane fun. Lexxy, I'm sorry to hear that things have been rough for you. Sounds like it's time to branch out your circle of friends! Hope you're feeling better soon... JenK, I am so proud of you! My two minutes of running seem like such ****, I can't imagine doing a whole 10k! YOU ARE THE WOMAN!!! You are such the Nike commercial babe! I'm glad you survived the heat...the midwest had a scorcher weekend, that's for sure! Laura, I agree with your decision. Eat and toss, I say...that way they will feel good and you won't have to hurt any feelings, yet you don't have to spend points that would put you over for the day! Early Happy Birthday!!! JenL, we had those same storms and tornados in Southern Minnesota last night, too. Kind of scary, but thankfully none came closer than ten miles to us. Did you save Emma's hair for her baby book? I can't wait to see the pictures! Lucy, sounds like you didn't go too nutso this weekend, and that's the important thing! You can do it, partygirl And the novel is written! Have a great afternoon, ladybugs!:cp::) |
Cat, my running buddy, we were posting at the same time. I can't wait to see pics of you as a hooker...and a hooker that knits, no less. I love it!
