Hi again everybody I'm just getting ready to go to bed but thought I would take a quick peek here first and see how you are all doing.
KAREN you might be right about my squirrel and your grandmothers being from the same family. LOL.
LELA I fed my squirrel so well this year and he is so fat that he had no room in his tummy for my tomatoes. He really is a very amusing little fellow. (well I don't know for a fact he's actually a he) LOL. I put seeds down on the patio for the birds that don't like feeders and I swear he waits until there are a whole bunch of birds pecking at seeds then he makes a mad dash at them as they fly away. I think I can detect a definite smirk on his little face.
Well now you all know what an exciting life I lead. All this excitement has tired me out, so I'm off to bed. Night.

Hi gals, I guess everybody is in bed sleeping and I am up on the PC...something wrong with this picture. My DH sis and hubby are still here trying to settle the farm business. They hope to go home on the 27 of Oct. I will miss them, we have had a lot of fun. Tonight they came over and we really enjoyed their company. They are anxious to get back to SO.Delta in BC.
Geri..you are a going concern. I think doing the Christening and your Birthday was really wonderful. I am glad it made you happy.
Josie..you wear me out girl, just reading all the things you do makes me tired.
Lela..another busy gal. Glad school is going so well for you.
Countrygal..yes, we women can shop like nobody else. The poor men can never stand the pace. WTG on being down 1.75lb. Just close your eyes and pretend you are walking down a beautiful beach.
Deelite..I am so glad you are joining us. You will be a welcome asset to the group as you always have wonderful tips on weight loss, and great craft ideas. She is quite the decorator.
Margot..What can I say..81.3 lbs down, there is no doubt you will reach your goal by your birthday. WOW I am so impressed. Doing a Happy dance for you!!!!!
I think you should follow Lily's tips for getting through the holidays, they were really great.
Donna...I think Margot shoud post all her tips about how she has lost so much weight...I sure could use some inspiration. I might be ducking the WW weigh in tomorrow
Slavika..You sure do have a lot of birds and critters hanging around your backyard. Cinnimon Buns...Yumm!
You do have an exciting life and a very pleasant one.
Karen..I have lost a few entire posts myself, maybe 1 or 2....OK. 5 of them. This can be very frustrating. Do you have any idea where they end up. I hope your cousin continues to improve.
Glenda...I thoroughly enjoyed the movie Meeting the Parents. You were right, no body got killed, no obscene bodily functions, no swearing (well except for Gaylord's last name LOL) I was not offended and laughed out loud many times. They also showed a preview of The Grinch Who Stoled Christmas...now this is one I would like to see. I just have to find someone who is in their 2nd childhood to go with.

I went to Wellness and worked my butt off (or at least I tried to diminish the size of it), then we spent the afternoon looking at fabric. We decided we need to see a bit more before making this momentous decision.

No doubt everyone is in dreamland, I hope to be there soon too. Have a wonderful day OP Tuesday.

Some minds are like finished concrete--thoroughly mixed and permanently set.

Hi Everyone, We had a terrific time on our campout! We took 15 2nd graders and 11 3rd-10th graders (Girl Scouts) to a Ridgerunners Rondezvous for the weekend. The folks were dressed in period clothing from the early 1800's. Most of the lodges were teepee-type. They also had trading lodges where beads, trinkets, buckskin and other clothing are sold. The girls were thrilled.
We did tent camping. They did provide an outhouse for us
Then, I went to weigh-in. What a disaster!!!!! I was up a ton. Of course, eating ham and not taking my "water" pills (for blood pressure) all weekend might have helped with the gain. Had a very inspiring meeting, so maybe my head will be back in the program. I hope....
I'll try catching up on the posts this evening. Have a Terrific Tuesday

Evening everyone,

Well I went to my meeting at TOPS to get weight and there are no more meeting. I missed last week and it seems that they were told that we could no longer use the building . so as of now I no longer have a place to go. I thinking about trying to find a WW meeting to go to. I just hate to have to pay of the meetings when I cann't go, and sometime with test and all I just don't have the time (meetings are 40 miles from me) But I need the meeting, when I don't go I find it is to easy to over eat or just not watch what I eat that closely, after all no one is going to weight me and Know that I gain but me and I can always tell myself that I will do better next week.

We had lots and lots of rain today and it is still raining, so every thing is nice and wet,a nice change from all the dry spell we have been having,

Well you ladies have a good evening, and any tips on getting my self back in gear is welcome.

Night all Lela

Hi Everybody I went to WW today and lost all of .2 of a lb. but I will take what I can get. DOXIE we had a great meeting today too. Ours was to remember why we joined WW to begin with. She also mentioned we have only 9 more Tuesdays of WW meetings until Christmas.
I had my friends in for Tea this afternoon and both TRUDY AND DEE came. Trudy always looks great and I have to say that DEE looked pretty good for someone who has just had a really rough time. It was really nice seeing her today. The whole mood of the "tea party" was a happy one because she was back and doing ok. Last week when she was away our little group was rather somber.
Its nice to have have friends you care for, but whatever affects them affects you too.
I guess the alternative to that is not to have any friends, LOL, and I sure wouldn't like that.
I did some typing for my DH tonight. I can tell you that I am very happy that he is NOT my boss, and that I don't often have to decipher scrawl he calls hand writing.
SCHOOLGIRL At our WW meeting today our Leader was also talking about the woman that started WW, started it in the basement of her home. Could your TOPS group possibly be held in someone's home? I don't know how large of a group it is, but it would be a shame for it to just break up. Maybe if that's not an option, they could locate in another building, like a church basement.
Well tomorrow I see another friend for lunch and shopping. I love my Wednesday outings with her, they are always fun.
We have to keep track of how far we walk or how much we exercise because our leader is going to put up a map and our group is going to "walk to Mexico" or to Texas. We'll decide next week. She will total up our "miles" and show our progress on the map, each week. That's it for me tonight. "See" you all tomorrow.

Evening Ladies, I was interested in the cookies Lily was talking about awhile back, called Bakers Cookies. What are they and could you give us the recipe? They sound like something I would enjoy. Schoolgirl: I think you should check on another place for the meetings to be held. Try the Salvation Army, or your local YWCA. We have had meetings in both of those places. It sure would be a shame not to have somewhere to meet. Hope that you all have a good day tomorrow. I am off to lunch at a Chinese resturant. Wish me luck! Countrygal

Doxie: Your campout sounds wonderful!

Deelite: Glad you are feeling so much better. Im sure it does get boring but you will be all better soon and will be able to do more.

Lela: WW does have different plans. I know mine has one that you pay so much, and only when you go. It use to be 13$ in my area. So check yours out when you go. Sorry to hear about the Tops meeting. Maybe they are going to find another place? Slavika has a great idea there. Try and great the other people to come up with a place. Or even just a few of you meet at different houses, each week.

Countrygal: the bakers cookies have to be bought and can be found here: http://www.bakersbreakfastcookie.com/

I havent ordered in a while but it use to be a 4 week wait.
You can also find them here which is suppose to be a shorter wait. and you can buy different type. At the company you do have to buy in 6 packs.
http://www.bakersbox.com/

They are very high in fiber and do cause some people with weight gain. But if you dont eat them all the time and drink lots of water you are fine. It effects people diffently.

Slavika - I have a boss with a "scrawl" too, like your husband, but it is funny how used to it you get. I can read about anything he writes now. It is a darned good thing I don't work with my husband, though. Can you imagine taking orders (or directions) from your husband?

Lela - I sure hope you get either in a WW meeting or get a new place for Tops to meet. Putting it off usually translates into a weight gain. Is there anyone else you know who might want to make the trip to the WW meeting with you? And check into Lily's plan where you don't have to pay if you don't go.

Deelite - I have had 3 major surgeries. The first one was the worst and I was not bored because I was so sick, but the middle one was a real bummer. I wasn't that sick, but couldn't do much and was so bored. What saved me was my friends. I have one like Slavika who had me come over and just lie on her couch sometimes and talk. Friends are lifesavers.

All, can you say a little prayer for my son Cody? He is going to the big city for a couple of job interviews today. He has been living with us since the stabbing. I love him--don't get me wrong, but hope he can move out SOON. And I want him away from this area and his old friends. He needs to grow up and it would be easier away from us, his safety net.

Hi gals, I have to ask the same question, "where is everybody?" My server was down yesterday, that is my excuse.
Deelite..You must be having a good day . I read the recipe you posted on "Thrilling Thirties", the Lemon Poppy Seed Cookies. It sounds so much like a recipe of mine, but yours is a much lower count. I will be making it.
Doxie..That camp out sounded like a lot of fun. How did you get started with the girl scouts? It is really hard to stay OP when you are away from home, I hope you are back OP now.
Lela..Too bad about TOPS. I hope you are going to figure out some alternative. I need meetings too, I never do well on my own.
Slavika..I was reading on the WW Site and they were talking about the first WW Meeting and how it was held in Jean Neidich's (Sp.) basement. I will be going to WW on Tuesday, you read it here first. Did anyone sit in my seat last week?
Usually Slavika gets there early, lays articles of apparel on the seats, sometimes casually lays across them and saves them for us .
Countrygal..I sent you a recipe for High Fiber Chocolate Cookies that has been on the board before. Drink lots of water with them . How was the Chinese Food?
Glenda..I am sending good vibes for Cody. I hope he finds work and some new friends. Keep the faith.

Hi to the rest of you gals! I will check back later on to see if anyone else shows up. Have a great day OP Friday.

Smart people speak from experience~smarter people from experience, don't speak.

HI EVERYBODY I too will ask the question, "Where Is Everybody" We have a lot of MIA HELLO OUT THERE....
TRUDY you are too funny. But you know gals she's right. We have been going to WW so long that we feel that the seats we sit in are really "OURS". Well we probably paid for them several times over. Sometimes when I'm there first it's really very difficult to "CASUALLY" lay across 5 chairs. LOL Besides which everybody looks at me funny.
HI DEE I'm glad you had a good day today. Pretty soon you will have lots and lots of them.
I was home today so decided I would make a nice dinner for DH and myself. Everyday in my e-mail I get "The Recipe of the Day" from someplace. Today's was, "Chicken A La King"
and I thought, it's been years since I made that so decided I would have that. I went shopping and got fresh mushrooms, pimentos, and nice salad fixings including those lovely little grape tomatoes. So I made the salad and served the Chicken A La King on quartered toast slices. DH is eating away, clearly enjoying his meal and I said to him, "do you know what that is?" He said, "of course, TUNA Brother.
GLENDA maybe with what happened to Cody and if he got a job someplace else that could be exactly what he needs. As he and HIS friends get older, and maybe settle down or get married they can grow up pretty fast. He'll be fine, look who he has for a Mom.
Ok everybody, I'll come back later and see if anybody else came to see us. Bye for now.

Evening Ladies, Thanks Trudy for the recipe. I think I will try them. Could I use raisins in them instead of the crasins? Have been going out a lot this week for meals. I know I will be in trouble if I keep it up. Hubby has relatives in from California, and there seems to be a lot of eating going on. Good luck to Cody!! How sad that he has to move in order to get his life back in order. Where is Schoolgirl? Hope things are going well for her. Well, have a good night, and will write again tomorrow. Thanks again Trudy. Countrygal
