Bread Machine Owners - How do you make bread and not eat it all? I have bread machine stored because if I make it, I eat it. Ah, the smell!
I am having so much trouble not eating everything in sight. For some reason I haven't had that much trouble until now and I quit smoking July 17th. Everything TASTES so good! And I feel so nervous! I pour over dessert menus, just imagining the taste of choc silk cream pie......
Last night I ate a big baked potato and salad for supper and 2 hours later went on the treadmill and almost got sick. Have any of you ever worked out just a little after a big meal and felt it like a brick in your stomach? Just thought of something different. Every 3 months I take a blood test for cancer. I am right now awaiting the results. Maybe that is why I am so nervous!
All of you who are losing, wish it would rub off on me. I feel so out of control right now.
Glenda

Hi All,
I've been too busy to post the past few days. But I do want to welcome Lily back! Sounds like you enjoyed your R&R -- bet you're ready for some real R&R now. And I would not worry about those 3# for a minute. Shows you really enjoyed yourself. You're so disciplined, it'll be off in no time!! Glad you're back with us.
My BIL gave us a Gateway computer with all the bells and whistles. I've been occupied for the past week trying to get it set up and organized for us. It's in DD's room because I'm too set in my ways with my computer. She'll enjoy all the audio capabilities -- even has a mic. Guess we'll figure out how to use that one day. Doxie: So sad about your boss. And I too hope your DH's job won't be affected by the sell-out. Countrygal: Good job on the 2# loss!!! Doesn't that feel great! Enjoy your Myrtle Beach getaway. I've never been there. Is it peaceful or commercialized like most beach resorts? Slavika: I really believe you when you say you have about 9 million cookbooks. You sure do like to cook and bake. Do you have to run to the store whenever you decide to bake? Bet you have a well-stocked kitchen. I've never had a desire for the bread machine, but it sure does sound easy and delicious.
Will check you all later tonight.
Will I'm back from school and my meeting, the computer test when good made an 89 was really please with my self, when my DH was giving me question last night I could not hardly answer any of them, will know about the English test tomorrow,
Now for weight in, You know that fried chicken meal I had will it's still with me I had a 3# gain It sure hit hard after last week good lost, but I'm still 2# ahead, so this week, I'll just be more careful .
Countrygal Here to you and your lost, good going, Have fun at the beach,
You all have a good evening will check back later to see how everyone is doing.
Lela

Doxie: I know nothing about deyhdrator's so cant help you there. Sorry to hear about the Boss. Hope the sell out doesnt effect DH at all. Keep as posted!
Glenda: Its not good to eat and then immediately exercise. You should always wait after eating or exercise before. Sorry to hear you are having troubles. It probably is the waiting for the test results. Hope you hear soon. Hang in there.
Countrygal: Have fun in Myrtle Beach! Be good! Congrats on the loss!
Trudy: I didnt get to see all of the closing ceromonies but I did see some and it was great! Saw alot of the Opening cerimonies to and they were fantastic!
Josie: Yep was a real pain going to work today. Hated every minute of it! But I gotta work Alas. We relaxed so much on the vacation it was great!
Lela: Congrats on the great score on the test! Sorry about the gain, fried chicken will do that to you.
Slavika: I bet you do have a million cookbooks! You always have such good recipes!
Later all!

Doxie..you sure had a bad Monday. Hope DH job isn't in jeopardy. I don't know anything about dehydrators, but I love my bread machine . Sherry..WTG on the 2 lb loss. You're doing great. I wish I could say the same. Glenda..I never smoked in my life and everything tastes so good, and I pour over dessert menus and imagine the taste of chocolate silk pie too....
I hope your results are perfect. Josie..that sounds like quite a computer BIL gave you. Now you don't have to share your PC anymore. Lela..Too bad about the weight gain, you have the right attitude so you will get it off soon. Lily..I have been thinking...you and your DH have the right idea about retiring in Hawaii. No reason why we all couldn't do that..wouldn't that be great?
Gals, I have to tell you that Slavika has every recipe known to man. She has boxes and shelves full. She also has just about every ingredient, and has been known to jump in the car and pick up something just because someone is coming over. She bakes up a storm, and is the perfect hostess.
I had a very disappointing day at WW. I am up l.4 again. I really have been trying to stay OP, but haven't been feeling well lately. I am in a flare-up so maybe this is the reason. I will try again this week. But, as Dotti said "one day at a time, no guilt and move on". My friend Slavika gave me a pep-talk tonight too.
Goodnight, and lets all hope for a OP Wednesday...
Hi Everyone, To Schoolgirl, don't worry about the gain. You will get that off this week. Just concentrate on your school work and everything will fall into place! I have faith in you! Hopefully anyone who had a gain this week will do much better at their next weigh in. Hope I can come back from vaction with a loss!! The hubbys are golfing, so we girls are either going to beach it or shop!! I'm sure eating will be in there somewhere! Have a good night ladies and we'll see you in the morning!! Countrygal
Hi Everybody Well I did go to WW yesterday and managed to get 1# off. LILY don't even bother fixing up my weight chart. I checked it, and I was 154# and now with my ups and downs I'm 153.4#.
I had my friends in for tea after WW and I always like doing that. Our youngest friend (the baby) is having some medical problems which are going to be all looked after next Wednesday. She has to keep herself in good condition so that she can take care of the rest of the "Tea Time" girls when we are in nursing homes. Boy is she ever going to have her work cut out for herself. Glenda Good luck with your your test results. Josie Is "Gateway" a type of computer or just the name brand? I thought I would also let you know that if there was a huge famine in Canada my family would not have to worry. Someone had asked my DIL last Dec. if she had done anything in the way of preparing for the year "2000" she told them it was not necessay she had "me". Countrygal my friend from the lake and her husband go to Myrtle Beach and they just love it. I'm sure you will have a great time. Schoolgirl good luck to you with your English grades and congrats on the great computer mark.
I better get going, I see my friend today for lunch and shopping. "Talk" to you all later.
Slavika
Dance as though no one is watching you.

Slavika This is your baby here posting. You are darn right I need to get that heart fixed so I can take care of my old hens! lol
To all you other ladies on this board "Hello" I love to read your posts! I feel like I know you all. Take care of my Slavika and Trudy for me while I am gone. Thanks

Trudy: Yep we all could! As long as you get out of the touristy spots its not that expensive. Same as Calif I found even in housing.
Countrygal: When do you go on Vacation? Sounds like you will have a fun time! Shopping and beach are my kind of fun!
Slavika: I knew you would be a good hostess! From all the recipes you post and your weekly teas. Cute what your DIL said! Gateway is a name brand for a computer. They are one of the best you can buy. Josie will love it.
I dont have one as my DH built mine from scratch but everybody raves about them and even DH tells everybody to buy them.
Deelite: Of course we will take care of them! You take care of yourself! Pop in and let us know that you are ok!
Hi All, Well, I am frantically getting things ready for vacation!! We leave very early Sat. morning. I am really looking forward to it. I wil miss writing everyone though. I will let you all know how we like it. I can't imagine that we wont! I know that I am not swimsuit material yet, but hopefully noone will care! I do, but it just didn't work out with the weight. I am on the right track though, so I will try and be very good. Talk to you tomorrow. Take care everyone. Countrygal
Hi All, just wanted to check in and see how all of you are doing. Things are going well with me today. Watch what I ate and did pretty good with it. Got my English test back made 107 there was a bonus question. so I guess all the worry paid off. I feel much better about school now I guess that saying about can't teach an old dog new trick just aply to men
Josie I have a Gateway and just love it, but I guess that everyone like the kind they have are they would not have bought it. My daughter has a MAC , you talk about a computer, lord you should see the things that hers does.
Countrygal Have fun on your trip. will you be where the cold weather is coming in I sure hope it does make it way down this far.
I hope everyone is doing good and has a good day tomorrow, you all take care and I'll see you later.
Dear Deelite...nice of you to drop in our board. You take good care of yourself while you are away. We need some young blood at our get togethers. Follow all the doctors orders and bring that beautiful smile back...we are depending on you in our "old age", someone is going to have to check in with WW and bring us our Journals to fill out, we will be too decrepit to make the trip.
Morning all. A quick check in before I go off to work for a few hours. I want to get home early as we are painting the outside of the house while the weather is still good and its supposed to be good througout the long weekend.
Doxie when I went to buy a bread maker I asked everyone and the Black and Decker was highly reccommended so I bought one and it is great. I bought one for Colleen and Carl for a wedding present and they are going to buy one for Craig and Tanya for a wedding present so everyone seems to like them. I also have a dehydrator and I love mine. It is Harvest something or other. I dry fruit (mostly for decoration and potpourri etc. - blood oranges are the best) and I grow and dry my own herbs such as bay leaf, thyme, oregano, sage, dill, etc. I only use it three or four times a year but I couldn't do without it.
Welcome home Lily - I am so glad you enjoyed your trip. When I went I brought back home a cut bouquet of exotic flowers. They have since dried and look super in a pot that I have for them. whenever I look at them I remember Maui.
Don't you go soon Slavika??
Glenda - When I quit smoking everything tasted so good too. That is why I am here today - 100 lbs heavier. Don't let it happen to you. I know it is hard but you can do it. Don't give food or cigarettes that power over you. You are in charge...
After a summer of maintaining I am going back to WW next week. I just am not losing on my own. I have a friend going with me so that is good but first we are going out for lunch tomorrow .
I just love you guys! Most of the things you say, I have said at some time or other--does that make us "sisters" or what?
Donna -Thanks for the encouragement about smoking. I am hanging on here by my fingertips and sometimes just feel like saying, "To @#!% with it!" but just can't. Don't want to be sorry later. So thanks.
Had a good day yesterday. I think what made it good was that I ate lightly for supper and walked 3.5 miles before bedtime. I feel so much more in control after exercising.
Slavika - I wish you lived close to me. I think I would enjoy a friend who bakes and has teas and has such cute stories to tell. Deelight and Trudy, you are truly blessed. None of my friends have the time or desire to bake, and if we get together, it is a huge undertaking that takes 3 weeks to make happen.
Those of us in Oklahoma are expecting a 60 degree drop in temperature by tomorrow morning. What a crazy weather pattern--cold or hot--nothing inbetween. Lily - think I want you to pack me in your suitcase next time you go to Hawaii because they seem to have spring and summer all the time.
All - I am so happy I found you guys. Keeps me encouraged daily, and I think you would be my friends if I had met you outside of cyberspace. Glenda
