Good Morning!! Know what is SO depressing? I woke up this morning and thought it was Saturday... Then I realized that it was only Tuesday... Oh well, that means it's weigh in day. Sheesh, I say that like I'm excited about it. Trust me, I'm not.

I'm starting to feel a wee bit panicky when thinking off all the work I have to do within the next couple of weeks. I've only just barely started packing up my apartment, will probably be moving next weekend, and right after I move, I'll be starting 10-hour night shifts that'll last for about a month... Oh well, the money will be nice when I take my cruise in December.

Not much else to say, besides good morning Kier!! It sounds like a wonderful day to be in Ireland... Of course, when you live in Nebraska, every day sounds like a wonderful day to be someplace else...

Alright, back to work for me...

Morning girls

Kier, funny you should mention those books, I think I had a flashback about them the other day....of course I can't really remember any of the specific characters or stories....

Jess, I’ve been the same way this week – thinking it is way later than it really is….it should at least be Thursday by now, not just Tuesday. The only good thing about the beginning of the week, is that I actually tend to stay on plan – I even ate LESS than I could have yesterday, if you can believe it Try not to stress about your upcoming schedule - think of all the calories you'll burn lugging those boxes, and all the money you'll have to buy some new bikinis for the cruise!

Lori and Jess, thanks for the boy advice! I’m definitely going to leave him a message in a few days, but I’ll try to make it casual and not too pushy. If he doesn’t call back then I’ll know he’s not interested. I hate all these games…..Winter, I haven’t had a date in like 2 years before this either, which is why I need all this advice!

Jen and Noelle, congrats on your losses! Will there be another challenge starting May 1st? Maybe another milestone could be the first day of summer or something. I really need to get myself exercising, I’ve totally been slacking off lately. My intention all day yesterday was to start this new 10k training plan to get myself running again….and I went home and took a two hour nap instead I never get enough sleep....

Rina, hi, how are you? Of course I remember you from that other thread. Looks like you found a great new group.

Ok, that's all for now, hi to everyone else!

Hey Girls, I didn't get to read all the posts that I have missed but as usual work is crazy and I am rarely in the office. Uhh I am a bit down about my weight so I though Iwould confess it to you girls. I need some words of wisdom from all of you who keep pressing on. Over the holidays believe it or not I lost 8 pds. I have gained back 13 since February. Ok I haven't said that out loud to anyone I did this cleansing diet which is how I lost and it was too fast yada yada. But my question is what motivates you? I first joined WW appx a year and a half ago and I never go more than 2 wks before I quit and take months off. I joined etools and this didn't kick my but either.

As you all know b/f had knee replacement surgery and we sit around a lot so that is part of it but I don't know what will motivate me. My wedding will be w/in the year and yet I still want chocolate and junk food etc. I looked at spring clothes today and I realized that whether or not I buy a new spring wardrobe I won't feel good. Sorry to be such a downer. I am just a bit upset about my lack of motivation. It is just so much easier to grab Fast Food than to plan and stickto it

Any help out there. I know I just need to do it. I am back at 183 and my all time high was 193. I am not far

Oh btw bf and I go today to finish the ring details and we can have it in 1-2 wks! Hallelujah! I am excited about that. What did you married/engaged ladies do to get in shape for the big day. Btw if anyone wanted to post wedding pics that would be really cool Just a thought!

Lexxy- I don't think we have met! HI! I too need to exercise. I did 3 days last wk however

Jess- That is a brutal wake up call! Tuesday not saturday. OUCH!

Kieri- Enjoy your beautiful weather. Ours is lovely today also. It is in the 50's whereas yesterday it was 40s. Michigan is so funny b/c last wk it was in the 80's . Go figure.

Again sorry to be such a downer. I guess it is the impending weather (spring/summer=less clothes) and the fact that I have never wanted to be a chubby bride that has got me a bit sad. I am just going to try and work that into motivation

Kier - Hope you get to enjoy the beautiful weather!!

Jess - What's this about a cruise? Where are you going??

Lexxy - I would definitely leave him a message of some sort. I may be a bit more aggresive than some, but I am not the type ofgirl that sits back and waits for things to happen. If you are interested, call him. If for some reason that freaks him out, then he is a loser and not worthy of you anyway! Just my opinion...
Good idea to start another challenge on May 1st. This challenge has done wonders for my motivation and I would like to keep that going. Do you have a specific 10K training plan that you are going to follow? I run a 5K about every month, and ran an 8K last month. I have a program that will get me prepared for a 10K this summer that I need to start...

Another day of bad allergies for me. I am taking my medication, but my headache won't go away and I am completely dried out (nose and throat) from the medicine, so I don't feel very well. I'm supposed to go to the Cubs game tomorrow night, so I hope the headache goes away so I can enjoy myself!

Have a good day girls!

Lexxy- Just read yesterdays dilemna and had to comment. I would email and just say something to the tune of "hey just wanted to say HI I hope your week is going well!" This is what my sisters and I refer to as "breezy". So definitely be breezy! I agree that asking him our favorite question "what is going on with us?" etc would be the wrong move however don't just chalk this one up as over. If you see potential than it exists. Ok I am done now

Just stopping working because I feel major headache coming on...

The cruise will be November 30-December 7. It's a 7-day Western Caribbean that will take us to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Belize. I absolutely cannot wait!! It's a big part of the reason I started losing weight in January. I absolutely HAVE to be able to wear a two-piece bathing suit on the cruise.

Thinking about all those tropical places made my headache go away... I guess this means I can go back to getting my work done.

I'll probably be back later!

Hello Ladies!!!

Jess ~ Your cruise sounds fantastic!!! I am so jealous. DH and I are planning on going on a 5 day cruise in two years. I know I will have a great time.

Jenn ~ I agree, lets start another challenge as soon as this one is over, I too, have been doing very well with this one. (Oh, and don't drink too much beer at the Cubs game, beer always tastes better in a cup at a baseball game!)

Becky ~ I understand your depression. I was there a couple months ago. What motivated me, was the thought that last year at this time I was at my personal goal and bought a new spring/summer clothes, a month ago, I was 12 pounds heavier than last year, and trying to figure out how I was going to fit into those clothes again, and the last thing I wanted was to look like a size 12 girl fitting into a size 7 short!!! So, what I did to help me is put a pic of me (at my highest) on the fridge, and right inside my wallet when I try to pull out cash to pay for fast food etc, I would see it. I cannot tell you how many times I put money away, and left the restaurant!! Sometimes, a fat pic doesn't work for people, so maybe you can find a pic of a beautiful model in a wedding gown or something to help motivate you. Just a though. Hang in there, this is the place to vent, we are here for ya!!!!

Lexxy ~ Good luck with the boy. Men are tough to figure out. Some need to be chased, and other do the chasing!!! Go figure!!

Kier ~ Your weather sounds like mine. It is sunny and 60 degrees today. Just beautiful!!

Well, I wanted to check in this morning, but I am teaching a database class all day, and didn't get a break til lunch. Talk about exciting.....databases!!!

Not much new with me. Still OP and loving it. I also have been exercising very faithfully, I am going to weigh again tomorrow morning, since I weighed on Monday morning, and stayed the same, I think it was because of the amount of salt I had on Sunday. We will see.

Well, better get back to class, must cover pivot tables!!!

Hey girls,

Just stopping in to say a quick hey! Super busy what with work, moving & wedding stuff. I cannot wait to get this move over with. We still don't know if we're moving this weekend or if we have to wait until the 30th. Argh!

Kier, I used to love those books! My Mom bought me the undies (last year) for Little Miss Chatterbox & Little Miss Bossy! She said they reminded her of me! Yep real nice Mom! Btwe I had to laugh at your title because its is raining here today, grey & cloudy & very very windy!

Becky, my wedding is in 9 weeks & I still am struggling. I am actually up from when we got engaged two years ago! Its embarrissing & I'm quite upset about it but its my own fault.

Jess, a cruise would be so awesome! A cruise wearing a bikini even better!

JenK, my allergies are getting the better of me too. I'm glad its spring and all but I hate what it does to me.

Lexxy, good plan to do another challenge. Maybe I might make it this time...

This is my TOM & I'm not doing to good. Sunday I ate DQ Blizzard, yesterday I ate a whole lot of ice cream & today I'm craving so bad! Argh!! Anyway guess I'll see if I can muddle through.

Talk to you all later!

-Rina

Can I just say you girls are so AWESOME Everyone's advice on my boy troubles is so great! Now I only wish I had you all home to help me pick out what to wear....

Grace - I totally know what you mean by breezy. I think that's what I'll be going for. I'm still going to give him another day or two, but then I'm just going to leave him a voicemail. I don't know how often he checks email, so that's a sure thing. I've been in your situation about the lack of motivation thing. I guess all I can suggest is that you don’t let the gain scare you into giving up altogether. Motivation for me doesn’t really come from the thought of buying a bathing suit or wearing shorts – thinking that I am under pressure for a deadline kind of makes me head for the nearest comfort – usually food. Maybe if you try to take the pressure off and ease back into things slowly you’ll get back in control. As far as exercise goes, I need motivation for that too! A “friend” roped me into training to run a 10-mile race with her, and trust me, I was not a runner! The only thing that kept me going was the idea that I didn’t want to be the last person to cross the finish line, or even worse, not finish before they re-opened the road to traffic! Maybe you could sign up for a 5k – Jen or I could point you in the right direction as to finding a good training program, I’m sure. Don’t be intimidated about running an entire distance either – you’d be amazed at how many people train and race doing run/walk programs.

Jen, the 10k training that I will now be starting today is from the nike.com website. Before I was half following a beginner 10-mile training plan and half just doing what I could force myself to get out and do. I began training doing a run 3 min, walk 1 min program, but for my actual 10 mile race it was probably more like walking 1 min per mile.

Jess, I’m going on a cruise the first week in September. My roommate keeps reminding me that every time I eat dessert I am hoping I can get into a 2-piece by then, but it’s only 4 months away! We’ll see.

Boy I can sure ramble on…

I hate my job, I hate my job, I hate my job. O.K. I just had to get that off my chest. Saying it outloud, O.K., typing it makes me feel so much better than just listening to the mantra repeat itself inside my head. Apologies for the negativity, just been having a few troubles at work lately. About 4 months ago, I had a great job that I loved and that I was really good at. In the last 4 months, everything about my job has changed and I'm having a little trouble adjusting. I'm keeping an eye on the internal job postings but so far nothing interesting has opened up. I still like my company and don't want to leave but if I can't find another position here soon I'm going to have to look externally just to maintain my sanity. Alright, enough whining.

JenK - hope that you are feeling a bit better and that your allergies are under control.

Becky - rather than think about what an overwhelming challenge it would be to have the "perfect" body by your wedding, maybe it would be easier to think in terms of small changes - i.e. spend a week or two just increasing the amount of water you drink, once you've got that down, spend a week or two adding more fruits and veggies to your diet, etc, etc.

Kierie - how exciting about studly boy - it is always flattering when someone flirts with you but when they are good looking to boot....

Time to knock off and return to the job that I hate.

Did I mention at all today that I hate my job?

Winter... I hope the job situation improves soon. It is so hard to deal with life in general when you aren't happy at work, since that is where you spend a majority of your life. (sad, isn't it?!)

Kier - Woo Hoo on the hot boy commenting on your beautiful freckles!!

Lexxy - Where are you going on your cruise?

Rina - Good luck with the move, whenever it ends up being. I sympathize with you, since I so recently did it myself. But you will end up so much happier in the end, so it is worse all of the trouble.

Becky - Congrats on the ring!! Let us know how it turns out.

Tonya - Thanks for journaling with me everyday. Having you with me keeps me going!

Okay, back to work I go...
