  • Good morning,
It is impossible to write something "upbeat" when we are grieving for Tammy and her family.
Instead, I'm sending a great WW recipe. (I've shared it before.)
    Key Lime Pie
Serves 8. 3 Points per serving

1 Reduced fat graham cracker pie crust
    1 Pkg. (4 servings) sugar-free lime Jell-O
    1/4 cup boiling water
2 containers, lime pie flavor light yogurt
    1 container (8oz.) fat-free whipped topping, thawed

Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Stir in yogurt with wire whisk. Fold in whipped topping with a wooden spoon.
    Spread in crust.
Refrigerate overnight or at least 2 hours.

This is good in the summer.
  • Hi Tina! I've made this and it is delicious!!!! Thanks for reminding me!
  • Hi guys. Just wanted to let you know that we're doing ok. Tonight was the visitation at the funeral home. So many people. Lots of tears, but I think we held up pretty good. The first principal that I worked for came through with his wife! I was shocked. It really meant alot.

Tomorrow is the funeral, and I know that it will be hard. I still can't believe I won't hear his voice or see him come through the door anymore.

I was supposed to serve on an Emmaus Team this weekend, not sure if I had mentioned that. I'm a logistics person, so I am out and about setting up rooms, lighting candles, cleaning toilets, etc. I still plan to do it. A couple people have told me they think I'm nuts, but I think it will be good for me. Then Sunday night, Tim and I leave for Lafayette, IN, stay in the Holiday Inn Express overnight, pick up his gf Monday morning and head for Michigan. I know Bob would have wanted us to go through with these plans.

    That's all for now.
  • Tammy,
We are with you in spirit today, at the funeral.

    Don't do too much now.
  • Tammy - Ditto on what Tina said! We wish we could be there!

  • Tammy - Wish we could be there with you in person. Know that we are there in spirit. s
  • Good morning-Tammy you know we're all there with you-wouldn't it be nice if we could arrange to meet up at some central point? It is doable you know

  • Hello everyone. This morning the sun was shining, and it was absolutely beautiful. The funeral went well. To get to the cemetary, you have to cross railroad tracks in town. Well, not only did the procession from the funeral home get stopped for one train, then a short break, then another train came through and stopped part of the procession. Tim and I cracked up. Bob and one of his best friends both liked trains, but they always commented on how it was a pain in town when the trains would go through town. The American Legion was going to do a military ceremony at the cemetary. We had asked if there was a way to have them as pall bearers when we got out there. The guy in charge told us they never have enough people for the honor guard and pall bearers. We got there, and there were more than enough! We were pleased because we knew that Bob would have been pleased since those guys were his friends.

I'll try not to keep talking about things. Bear with me!!

Maureen, I think meeting up somewhere would be wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Tammy you keep talking as long as you like-as for meeting up I hope there's someone who's better in geography than I am LOL-as far as I can tell Montana is the first state below Alberta-so where do we go from there?-It would be great though wouldn't it-

    take care

  • Tammy, I'm so glad it was a pretty day. That's wonderful that so many of Bob's friends got to go.
Wow, the procession was stopped by two trains. What a hoot! (I couldn't resist. )
Like Maureen said, you can talk all you want.

Maureen, I'll have to get out my map.

  • Tammy - I'm glad that it was a beautiful day. And like Maureen said you keep talking as long as you need. I would love to meet up with you all. Just let me know and I will try my best to get there.
  • Hi all,
It's so hot here today! I need to run to the store but don't want to get out of the a/c. I don't want to think how high the light bill will be this time.

    Jeanne, when is your surgery?

Dori, are you feeling pretty good? It takes time to get the anesthesia out of your system.
Maureen, don't get too tired with all that work.
Susan is surely having fun this week.

Tammy, how are you doing? I'll bet you have a lot of food around your house.
It's a pretty good OP day for me. Fruit and veggies are on sale. I'm going to stock up.
  • Tina - I'm feeling pretty good. We're down at Mexico Beach, FL until Saturday I think. My husband's family has a beach house there and it's their week to have it. I'm going to watch the sunset tonight and wake up early to catch the sunrise. Believe it or not I have never seen the sunrise or sunset on the beach. I'm hoping to get some good pictures. It took about 5 days for the anesthesia to get out of my system. It seems as though I spent the whole day sleeping for about 5 days. I'm trying to get back OP, but it's a little hard being on vacation. Well I suppose I have rambled enough. Talk to you all later.
  • Hey all!
just wanted to say Sorry Tammy about Bob. You are in my prayers, hope all if well. Just keep your head up high
  • Hi Amy, how are you doing!!!
