Default Morning!

Good morning!

not much doin' here, just struggling to keep my eyes open. Had WI last night, was pleased to find that I'm down 3.4 lbs from last week and now weigh 180.0, yippee! I don't think I've weighed less than 185 since high school, so I'm pretty thrilled about that, especially considering that I didn't really expect to lose much at WI.

To celebrate my loss, my BF and I went to this Mexican restaurant called OJ's in Omaha and orderd some OJ Strips (tortilla fried and covered with cheese and their special salsa, which is the best thing ever!), then we each got an enchilada (on the menu, it says "Guaranteed a gut buster!", which is totally true!). Those things are at least a foot long and a good 4 inches in diameter, filled with chicken and lettuce and just covered in cheese, olives, sour cream, and guacamole (then I cover it in their amazing salsa). I probably gained back everything I've lost at WW just from eating that. For some reason, I feel like I'm ready to go back to doing WW with TONS more motivation.

Does anyone else do that? I'll do great on my WW for awhile, but then I sort of lose motivation. I'll do so/so on WW for awhile after that, then just desperately want something I shouldn't probably have and then start responding to all my naughty little cravings (but I'll spread them sensibly). After indulging myself in my naughtiest craving (OJ's last night), I'm suddenly ready to go back to doing WW full-force. It's like I'm getting ready to hibernate or something and I'm storing food for the long winter!

OK, it's break time here, yippee!! I'll check back later.

Erin--Congrats on your new-found re-motivation!! (I think that's a good name for it.) I'm getting ready to do the exact same thing.

Oh! Before I forget, Petunia (the guinea pig I had to buy this weekend) is doing much better and is very happy in her new home. I can't wait until she's all better and I can introduce her to the other two!!

OK, I'm really going this time!

Hey Y'all,

Boy it has been quiet here this week. Everyone should come out and play!! Anyhoo, I have been doing well, just stressing over school, but asides from that everything is going well. I have a big assignment due on Friday so I will be working on that. Anyhoo, I have had 2 dates with a guy so far and it is going so well, we're just keeping it fun for now, we worked out together last night (we belong to the same gym, though we usually go to different locations <I generally go to the girlie one>) and then went to Tim Horton's and had coffee ( I rolled up the rim to win and the rim politely told me to "please play again" <this is an annual Canadian coffee contest>).

Erin: I used to be one of those tempting little girls with my boxes of cookies. In Canada, our cookies were made by Mr. Christie and now they're being done by Dare so I prefer the Mr. Christie so I doubt I will be tempted this year.

Jess: No worries about having Mexican, that's the beauty of the program, have a not so WW day <don't like the term 'bad day'> move on and start anew the next day!

Take care!

Ali

Hi all, I agree it has been super quiet. So I am posting just to fill the space up a bit!!! Work is a little calmer, but just as stressful. BLAHHHH!!!

I have been counting my points again and doing well. After blowing it over the weekend, I have made up 10 points this week so far. Partly because I had meetings the last 2 nights, so I made a sandwich to each on the way. Can't over eat when you have it in front of you and you can't eat during the meeting. I did snack when I got home, but never enough to put me over. I am so impressed with myself!!

Emma starts baby swim class tomorrow and we are all excited. This is her second time.

Kay???? So what's up????

Jess... Sometimes after a good WI, I eat like mad also. But it usually gets me back in control. After having a baby and rejoining WW, I decided this time to NOT deprive myself. I am losing at the same rate and enjoying it more. Tho, I lose very very slowly whether I count religously or not. But 30 pounds in a year is nothing to cough at!!! I am happy!

Oh and as for GS cookies, we have our sales in October/November... so I am not tempted as much right now. But a couple weeks ago I did find the boxes I hid in the cupboard. So i did indulge a little!

Default Still no news!

I am so confused. If any of you chart, here is some info...I am on CD(cycle day) 31, DPO(days past ovulation) 12, and had very faint spotting on 5 DPO. My symptoms have subsided a little (bbs aren't as sore) but I am still a bit crampy and quesy. I am not that tired, but a little fatigued. I usually don't start af until 13 DPO so I am not "late" yet. I don't think I sould test until Friday because I think it would be too early to tell. I hate this waiting!!!! All I can say is that if I am pg, then its a total miracle (not that all children aren't miracles as well), but DH and I have been super careful. Sorry for the TMI!

I am going to WI tonight so wish me luck.
erin ~ I always send my tempting food with DH to work or to my work. I baked a chocolate cake with homemade frosting the other day and just took it to work. Also, I have friends who put things in the trash and then pour soap on top! Try that

Jen and Tonya ~ Thanks for listening and providing your expertise!

Ali ~ Good luck with the new guy! Dating can be fun.

Hi to all I missed, I am a bit absent minded today!

Kay, I think most tests require you to be at least a day late. Here is some info that may be too much, but last month I had super sore bb's also, and was achey and tired. Thought I might be PG, but wasn't. I had a bug. I even took a test because I was a day late. So who knows. My bb's are sore again so maybe it's hormone changes... could be for you also.

Sniffle, sniffle.

Think I'm getting a cold. Blah. Maybe because of my erratic work hours. Yesterday I stayed til 10 p.m., working on a story. I'll probably stay late again tonight. But when I get home that late, I can't fall asleep. So I think I read until 1:30 a.m., and then had the hardest time getting up.

I can't get sick. My awards banquet is this Saturday! I'm wearing a dress I had bought for a Christmas party. Is that wrong? I know some people would be caught dead wearing the same dress, but hey, I like it and it ACTUALLY LOOKS GOOD ON ME, so I'm just going to wear it. Plus, it's red, and red always makes me feel more confident.

Well, I gotta go meet BF for lunch. We're going to Applebee's, where I promise to have a salad with the dressing on the side.

Hi everyone!

Kim--Wear the red dress! Who cares if you've worn it before? If you're going to spend $100+ on a dress, you should get your money's worth.

Hey, does anyone else get the newsletters from WW in their email? I got one yesterday and I tried to go see a recipe (caramel coffee drink) but there was an error displaying the link. Did anyone happen to get that recipe? It sounded delicious and I'd like it, if you got it.

Thanks!!

OK, back to work. Will check back later....

Yes, that is terrible... I'd probably have to do the same--I live alone and if my BF was visiting, he doesn't like that sort of thing, either. How do we cope?

Yum. That cappachino drink sounds yummy.I'm going to have to try one.

Well, girls, I'm going to buy a new car. My trusty '94 Mitsubishi Mirage is failing me. I had been thinking of getting a new car, and when my car failed inspection I found out the repairs will be about $400, that sealed the deal.

I think I'm going to get an SUV. I've test driven a few cars so far, a Toyota RAV4, a Jeep Liberty and a Jeep Wrangler (my dream vehicle, but too impractical). I'm going to check out the Ford Escape and Suzuki Grand Vitara, too. Anyone have any advice?

Oh, I forgot to welcome Erin. WELCOME!

Default Kim~ a new car!!!

Kim ~ I drive a sports car, but I have travelled in a lot of SUVs with friends. Have you looked into the Chevy trailblazer? I rode around in one for a few days and LOVED it. I want one myself, but my car is only 2. My folks have a Tahoe and drive it everywhere. So far, no problems and it is 7 years old with over 100K miles.
The Liberty is cute, but I haven't driven one.
My favs right now are the Durango, Trailblazer, and the new Explorer.

The only thing to look out for is gas milage. None are as good as a car. That is one of the big reasons DH and I won't buy an SUV. We are both big environmentalists (imagine that in Texas). We're just into that since we both grew up in severely polluted areas and know lots of ppl with cancer. OK, off my soapbox now. The smaller SUVs tend to be better in terms of pollution and milage.

Have fun looking! I love shopping for cars!
