Morning everyone!!

OK, I wanted snow, but I've had about enough now. I spent 1/2 hour digging my darn car out of it and scraping it and everything else.

Funny story--I was talking to a girl here at work yesterday and she's like "Oh, I love taking long walks in the snow. It's so quiet and pretty." So, I decided to walk my bills to the mailbox about a block away. I get all bundled up and am feeling pretty peppy. So I walk out the door and am thinking about how the girl at work says she doesn't lift her feet when she walks in the snow and I'm wondering why. Then I'm on my face on the ground, realizing that if I hadn't been picking up my feet when I walked, I wouldn't have slipped and fallen. I don't think anyone saw, so I scrambled off the ground (I was actually in the middle of the street, good thing there were no cars coming), yelled "I'm OK" in case anyone saw and was careful not to pick up my feet for the remainder of the walk.

I did OK yesterday. I've been trying to eat at the lower region of my point level, I wound up using all of my points yesterday. But I spent another 1 1/2 hours at the gym last night, so I'm not stressing. Now, if I can manage the weekend, there's nothing I can't get through.

JenK--Congrats on getting into law school!! That's great and I'm happy for you!

Ali--Hope you're feeling better. If you're having trouble breathing, maybe you should try one of those tube things--that's what my sister had to do. I dont know what it's called. It's just a tube you breathe into and steam comes out the end. Thanks for the compliment on my Homer, I love the Simpsons, too.

Stacey--I went to the link you put in yesterday and it sounds like Oklahoma is getting hit really hard! We had a storm like that about 5 years ago and some people didn't have power for like 2 weeks because it was so devastating to power lines and stuff.

OK, ladies, I better get a little work done before they fire me...

How is everyone today? I am doing great! I had THE BEST sleep I've had in months last night!!! I could've slept much longer but I had to drive DF to work. We're going to go back home this weekend. My Mom & I are starting to sew my wedding dress I'm picking DF up from work at 4:30 & then we're leaving stright from there The only bad thing is that we get way less sleep when we're there & my Mom never has healthy food in her house! It should be an interesting weekend WW-wise. Oh well...
Anyway that's about all I have to say at the moment.

Jess your story cracks me up! I can just picture it. When I was in high school I used to always wear Doc Martens & they have zero grip on snow & ice! We used to walk to my friends place for lunch everyday & I would slip & grab on my friends & all four of us would hit the ground b/c we all wore Docs! Too funny! Anyway be careful out there!

The weather here is finally warming up!! Yay! Well warm for Saskatchewan at this time of year. It is supposed to be between -11 & -18C today! After the last couple weeks where its ranged from -30 to -45C this is a huge improvement Tomorrow is supposed to be even wamrer

Jess: It's not funny that you fell, but funny that you told "everyone" you were OK!! I laughed out loud!
Rina: I'm horrible at walking on the ice...never ice skated, never want to. I walked my dog to the end of the block yesterday to look at the tree damage and mostly, she pulled me on the slick spots. It wouldn't have been pretty if I had fallen!

My head is pounding this morning! I've already had my boss come in to "help" me clean off my desk. I don't like it when she does that...it makes me nervous!
I don't want to go back to work, but I'd better get busy in case she walks back in the door........................

Did anyone see Friends and ER last night? I'm going to write a letter to NBC asking them to stop the depressing shows!!! I'm going to have to stop watching it if it doesn't perk up! I know it's just a tv show (at least that's what DH says) but it's hard not to get wrapped up in everything!!!!
Now, I'm getting back to work!

Just another quick note (we're taking an early lunch to go to this collectables store in town that's going out of business. They have really great grab bags) to respond to everyone.

Rina--I know exactly what you're talking about with Doc Martins. You know, they're resistant to all sort of things--alkali, oil, etc., you'd think that they'd take a little time to make them grippier on snow and ice. And I have to count my blessings--I'm complaining about -13C thinking it's SO cold, I'm glad I don't live in Saskatchewan (did I spell that right? I tried!) Do you have a lot of snow, too or is it mostly just cold? How exciting that you're starting your wedding dress. I'm so jealous of everyone who's getting married or engaged or anything! I wish my boyfriend would just realize he wants to marry me.

Stacey--What happened on Friends and ER last night? I always forget that those are on on Thursdays... I had the same thing happen to me with the dog pulling me on ice--my boyfriend has two dogs and we were walking them (this wasn't planned, so I was dressed to go out) when suddenly, I hit a patch of ice and stopped moving. His dog (a black lab named Dinky) started pulling me and I started getting alarmed. If I'd fallen, I could have broken an ankle or something, I was in shoes with big heels!!!!! And of course, the boyfriend had NO compassion, he had no idea what I nearly went through.

Oh gosh, it's time for me to head for lunch (and a little shopping). I'll stop back in later--I think it's going to be a pretty unproductive day...

We got SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWw.... we are soo excited. It just dumped last night. Finally!!! AND, my nickname in colege WAS Grace. Even my mom called me it!

I am hoping that my hubby can pull Emma and me around in the sled this weekend. We got her one but never got to use it yet!

I didn't think Friends was that depressing, tho the story line is getting dumb!!! Didn't watch ER tho.

Back to work... TGIF!

Stacey: I agree with you! I'm not as much of a Friends fanatic anymore — I personally think they should break off a show just for Phoebe and Joey, because everyone else now bugs me — but ER nearly had me in tears. How can they do that to that little baby? Dr. Green is becoming like Kelli on 90210 — they're throwing every possible bad thing at him that they can ... divorce, being beat up, brain tumor, now his baby battling for her life.

I wish I could share the beautiful day here with all you snow-bunnies.It's up near 70 again. Windy but still nice.

Well, I didn't get to WW last night. I was going to rejoin ... but didn't get out of work in time. This is always my problem!

I am finally liking Friends again. I noticed that the writers are trying to hook up Joey and Rachel with the fans, since they are making Ross out to be a total doofus. I'm not really liking him now. I wish they'd do a show for just Joey and Rachel, and Chandler, too. Phoebe kind of gets on my nerves and Monica is so freakishly annoying to me I can't stand it!!!
Luckily, I was at my inlaws last night watching it, so I didn't cry but if I had been at home, it would've been a two box (kleenex) night!

Monica's closet was too funny tho!!!! I never really liked Ross. Joey is cute in that dumb sort of way. Like a big brother kind of person.

My office is making me melt. Hope I lose a couple pounds from it. I am down 1/2 pound tho! YAH!!
