I'm only saying that because I don't like Tuesdays. They are a drag at work no matter how busy I am.

Jen, I must tell you I tried the pickle remedy, that's suppose to take away the urge for sweets. IT DIDN'T WORK We are the same when it comes to sweet cravings. I never crave salt. I never heard of that snack. Where do you buy it? Did you check Dotti's website?

TERRI - Welcome Home, we missed you!! Glad you had a great time with your family.

MYRA - thanks for crossing your fingers, I managed a 4 lb. loss over the holidays. I was pleasantly surprised. I mean, there were days when I felt like I was eating anything that wouldn't bite me first. I was really active on the treadmill last week, I think that helped out alot. I am so ready for winter to be overwith. I love Spring and I seem to get so energized then.

SANDANCY - Enjoyed seeing you in the chat room! I go in there everynight, I've gotten to know some of the girls iin there a little bit. Dianne from this thread is also in there almost everynight. Right now she is in Floriday visiting the new grandbaby, she should be back soon. I hope to see you again.

JEN, have the grades gotten there yet. I know you are tired of waiting.

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLO MY BUDDIES

I'm back in NY (arrived last night with the snow!) and glad to be back. Florida was great, just being with the family. Little David is adorable and he was baptized (Justin and Alana were his Godparents) on Sunday and they had a little party, etc. Weather in Florida was not so great - one night it was 33 degrees! Brought some shorts and sleeveless tops and a bathing suit, but never got to use any of those Anyway, was great, but glad to be home.

You guys sure have been busy! First let me say congrats to all you "fresh starters" and losers! Es - wonderful loss and more important you've begun again - you can do it! Congrats to all of you. I'm a fresh starter beginning today - my start was delayed by Florida, I figured there's no way I'm gonna start now and be defeated right off the bat, so today's my first day. I will go to a meeting this sunday.

Welcome back Terri - glad you had a good time.

Jen - You seem to be doing good as well, with your fresh start. Glad that Joe has done so well since last year. You're both very lucky and blessed. I think we all are.

Ruth - Great loss for you too - way to go girl. I'm gonna have to do some catching up to you guys since I've gotten a late start

Hi Buddies ,

I am having a really good day today, it feels like I am really on track. Last night I tried a new chicken recipe, I liked it but it was not a super big hit with the guys.

I will need to ask for some extra support later in the week as my mom is having surgery on Friday.

I'd love to join you in the chat, I will try on Wednesday night, as tonight I have to go out to a meeting. I am on the board of our UU fellowship. these meetings tend to last into the late hours.

Tomorrow morning is WI day. I am not very optomistic. I was hoping the 3 lb. that magically appeared on my body over the holidays would magically disappear as well. I think I lost this week but not 3 lb. Oh well, find out tomorrow.

My husband starts teaching his classes next Tue. Is that when you start back again? This semester he is teaching 2 Physics classes, a physics lab, and an astronomy lab. He has arranged his classes to all be on Tue and Thur, but they are very long days. Basically 9am till 10 pm. WIth some breaks of course, but not that much break time. When he comes home from lecturing all day. He doesn't want to talk to anyone Of course this semester when he comes home that late no one will be awake to talk to him anyway

Janie, you and me both. This week has been filled with stress and not enough exercise. Not a good combination. I've tried to stay OP and have mainly succeeded. Hopefully the scale will be kind to both of us tomorrow nite.

MYRA, you are so awesome to be maintaining during stress. I'm having issues with one of my daughters and I'm a basket case. Unfortunately, I haven't been op today, tried to take a night, but when I got up I ate everything in sight, banana, glass of coke, popcorn, honey graham crackers(almost the whole package). I've got to get a grip on this or I will gain my 4 lbs back!!

JEN, so glad you got your grade. That is fabulous. I know you only take one course, but do you feel pressure when you ace a class that you have to do so the next semester also. I know somewhere down the line I'm gonna disappoint myself, almost wish I'd made a few B's or even a C.

JANIE, I start back to school on Monday the 14th. I am really looking forward to it and yet kind of scared. Hope I can get back into the study mode after a 4 week break.

Hi, it sounds like we are all resuming the post holiday schedule. I really enjoyed the break. I got to go to Tae Kwon Do tonight. It is a family thing. I'm the slow poke, but atleast it gets me moving. The hardest thing isn't the physical, it is mental. I have a hard time remember my forms (steps). I hope you all have a great week!

I forgot to answer about Tanner. He was in our Vet's kennel. Boy was he happy to see us. He knocked Bradley over and went under my legs and up under my coat and the girl that had him on the leash was trying to get him. It was hysterical!!!!!!
He is back! AAAAGH! I just love him but he is wild.

Tanner was adorable when we got him. I let the boys go with me. They kept thanking the people for watching him, like they didn't get paid mega bucks.
I am doing a little bit at a time with the unpacking and putting Christmas away. I hate putting Christmas away.

Great job on your grade Jen.

How is everyone today? I had a horrible afternoon of stressful eating last night, but I'm much better today. I've already spent an hour on the treadmill for 3.5 miles and burned about 450 calories. I know that different size people burn calories at different rates, I'm assuming the treadmill calculates the calories for someone weighing about 150, that would mean that the calorie count is more than likely accurate since I'm over 150. What do ya'll think, anyone have any ideas?

VIOLA, Tae Kwon Do sounds like so much fun. The university I attend has beginning martial arts, I plan to enroll hopefully next fall if my schedule will allow. I've always been interested, I've just never had the extra money, or been too overweight!!

ES, are you enjoying your Wednesday!!! The week is just about half over!! Glad you had a good day at work afterall!! I've worked with people like that before, couldn't wait to get moved!!!

SANDY, I have you and your mom on my prayer list right next to my computer! Let us know how things go.

TERRI, how adorable about Tanner. My New Years resolution was to take better care of my dog. Gizmo went to the beauty shop and the vets last week. Poor baby, both in the same day, talking about stress!! He was terrific at the vets, he never flinched while they poked and prodded!! How old is your Tanner and what type of dog is he.

I spotted a baby shih tzu at the pet store last week, I want a puppy now!!!! A pup would probably give Gizmo more energy!!

It was as I expected, I lost a little but not those nasty 3 pounds I got from Santa. I only lost .5 lb. I guess it is better than nothing. It should be better this week because I have been very careful journalling and staying within my points this week.
