Default Thursday Weigh In Results--2002!

Greetings and Happy New Year to all Weighers!

This will be a good year, won't it! YES.

Anyone new to this thread, please join us as we get healthier and slimmer. Post your results here after you weigh in each week.

I for one am invigorated by the below freezing weather we are having in South Texas. It's been a long time since it was below freezing for more than a couple of hours.
I am ready to lose the extra weight that I put on after my retirement on Oct. 1st, 2001.
I have gained 10 pounds----and that much on me is terrible!
I feel bloated all the time. My face looks like a squirrel holding nuts in its cheeks. I cannot wear my one wool skirt because my hips have expanded.
Boy, I'm a mess---but not for long.

Any weigh related resolutions out there?

Cool

It finally caught up with me... the holidays I mean... I did so great over Christmas, but I weighed in this week and was up 0.6. I know it's only half a pound but it's still a gain.

Next week I'm going to work harder on getting in my water and making sure I exercise at least 3 times per week...

Was going to go W/I today, but headed home right after work, was half way home, when I remembered...LOL. Gonna try to go tomorrow after work, if I can remember that far in advanced

So far, according to my scales I am down...which will surprise me kind of since I wasnt exactly OP on New Years Eve... Yikes. But will let you know soon.

Hang in there girls....its a brand new year for us all, and we will make it! All we can do is our best!

Any gain when you are starting out is a downer. But, Dawn , you can excuse yourself this time . I'm sure you will lose that 1/2 pound and more by next weigh in.

Dee, let us know how weigh in goes today.

I drank 9 glasses of water yesterday. Wow!

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

I haven't weighed recently, too chicken to face it I suppose. But there is always tomorrow morning or should I smile cause it's a brand new year, and I really don't want to be this same weight a year from now. I drank 60+ oz's of water today!! And stayed as OP as I could.

Hang in there Sis, the holidays can be rough when trying to stay OP. It does sound like your heading for a loss this next time though!

Way to go on drinking all that water Tina! Is everyone drinking their water? YES!?!

Stay OP tomorrow everyone...we CAN do this.

Happy Monday group!

Okay, we've gotten through the holidays without too much of a problem. Now it's time to get back on track.

Sis, you are headed for a loss (like Dee says) and will do great.

Dee, good for drinking all that water. I didn't get in all of mine yesterday but will today.

Tomorrow (Tues.) at noon, I'm going to weigh in and go to the meeting. I'd like to hear someone different. And, the changes for the year will be presented, I'm sure.
I've read on another thread that there aren't that many things different. Some of them sound silly.....like changing the amount of salsa for a serving. Now why on earth would anyone care how much you eat?????

Take care all.

Tina how was your W/I and the noon meeting? Anything new for this year with the program?

I did go W/I on Mon and was up 1/2 a pound, which wasnt bad at all since it was after all the holiday eating and partying. Then I weighed this morning at home and showed i'd lost weight... just goes to show how the scales jump up and down. Im gonna W/I before I leave for vacation again.

How was everyone's W/I.... hope all are doing good... hang in there everyone....we can do this!

Hi,
My weigh-in---ugh!!!!!!! I had gained lots since my last official weigh in. And, they'd changed the Tuesday meeting times and I got there right when it was ending. Oh well, I'll catch one next Thursday.

The reeptionist said there really weren't any changes and so she didn't give me the starting booklets.
She gave me a booklet called, "Today's Special." It has suggestions for meal ideas and coupons in the back. Nothing to get excited about.

Dee, I like your home scale that says you had a loss.

Good luck to everyone else.

Greetings

Not to be a downer but, I remember when we had large loss totals for the week. We all seem to be at a plateau. We've got to get those metabolisms jump-started again.

I certainly have to do something about mine.

Hope we all have a great weekend OP.

I tried to log in last night after my weight in but the database was down and i was unable to log in at all. I tried for about an hour and gave up.
I don't know how accurate my weigh in was because i normally weight in at the morning meeting, and yesterday i hit the 6:30. So rather than having 1 meal in me to weigh in i had 3 meal in me. So I'm guessing if I would have weighed in at my normal time I would have seen a larger loss. But I was still down 1.6lbs. I got rid of that .6 I gained over new years and was down another pound... yeppie!
