Ruth, I'm glad you had a chance to post. I was beginning to worry. I've been saying I'm going to clean out my closet for a couple of months now. I need to do it one weekend. So cute about your dog. Yes, that was my happy dance.
Myra, good idea with taking your snacks with you. You are so in control.
Let me go lurk a bit. Haven't been on the computer at all today.
Have a good evening
Hugs,
Es

MYRA, you were not along with the munchies. I had the same problem yesterday. Unfortunately, tonight is my weigh in. I hope that I'm able to overcome those extra points before tonight!!
Hi everybody. We made it home safely. I tried to catch up a little.
I missed y'all.
Myra,
I pray that your father is doing ok. That has to be tough on you. I hate everytime I leave my dad because I think it will be the last time everytime. But he hangs in there.
Congrats on the loss Es. That is fantastic.
Welcome Viola. I am Terri and I have been a ww memeber forever. I love this group of girls. I am lifetime and recently reached goal after having lost about 60 pounds. I am sure I gained on vacation (Ohio for 18 days with a big Italian family). I am not weighing until Sat. I am getting back into today.
I will read more later. I have to gatch up on e-mails and clean and run a bunch of errands and then go get Tanner. He will help me start the ole' exercising again.
Is anything new this year in winning points? I am going back for the once a month meetings in Feb.
Hope you had a great time in Florida Dianne.
Jen,
My Steelers closed the year with a 3 loss year. It has been great. They have a by week this week. No playoff game for them til' the next week. They have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I am getting nervous already. Good luck to the BEARS. Until they get in the Super Bowl with the Steelers.
If the Steelers don't make it and the Bears do I will be for the Bears.
Terri, welcome home! Hope you had a great visit with your family. Don't worry, if your Steelers are in the Super Bowl, and not my Bears, I'll root for them! How exciting is this? Everyone in Chicago is thrilled, it's been a long dry spell since 1985!
Hi to Es, Myra, Dianne, Ruth, Sandy, Viola how's everyone doing?
Thanks Jen.
It is exciting.
I hope your New Year is much better than last year. I can't believe that happened to Joe a year ago already. You and he are so lucky to have each other.
I decided to work first today and give myself a reward of visiting the board after I put in my time. I do most of my work from home and only meet with clients once or twice a week. So, I find that WW helps me to plan some discipline in my work too.
Hey Es, great job on the 2.6 loss
Hi Myra, I am glad that you came through the worries about your dad so well, I hope the treatment is very effective.
Hi Terri, Welcome home. Hi Ruth, Janie, Jen, have a great day.
This morning here in MA, we woke up to mainly rain and a very light coating of snow. Needless to say Greg, my younger son, was disappointed that he had to get up at 6AM to get ready for school. Dave, my older son, is still home on semester break. He heads back to college on the 21st. It is really great to have him around. But he sure has his own agenda nowadays with his friends. So we just take as much of his presence as we can get!
I am going to try a new easy chicken recipe from the Simply the Best cookbook today. If it passes the taste test, I will post it on the board.
Thanks Sandy. Good to be back.
We were supposed to have some snow and boy my kids were upset they had school too. They just had 18 days off and they were not ready to go back. Can't please them.
Have fun with your boy.
They can have our snow. We have about three inches so far and it is still snowing. Still, Arthur had to go to school, but he did have a two hour delay. It was enough, however, to screw my plans up. Couldn't exercise at the gym. I tried to some exercise at home, but it is just not the same. I hate the winter.
Myra, I am so glad that your dad is feeling better, and congratulations on being in such good control.
Es, 2.6 lb Yippy!! you go girl!
Terri, Welcome back we missed you. Just don't you and Jen eat too much at all the playoff parties.
Viola, Hi, I am Janie and I am a lifetimer since 1995. Welcome to our little party. These gals are the best.
Sandy, Now I am going to play small world with you. I used to live in the Boston Suburbs also. My Husband and I lived in Arlington from 1984-1989. We both worked in Cambridge. I have to say that I sure don't miss the NE winters.
Ruth good luck on your WI. I am sure you'll do fine.
Welcome back Terri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We missed you. Where was Tanner? Poor baby, he must have been so happy to see you.
The colors look weird, don't they?
Thanks Janie. I never get too excited the first week cause I always know it's water but that's okay.
Myra, I hope you didn't get too much snow. We didn't get any. I was a little disappointed. I could have stayed home. I'm like the kids. They don't want to go to school & I don't want to go to work. I'm a big chicken when it comes to driving in it. Did you survive the munchies? I get a lot of days like that. I don't know if it's boredom, stress or what!
Sandy, you have a Dave too? My son's name is David. I love that name
Jen, I had forgotten about what happened to Joe last year until you mentioned it. My memory is all screwed up How's he doing? Does he have to go for checkups? Time is going by too fast.

This is the first winter I can think of that we have no snow on the ground......the ideal winter! We've had lots of single digit temps, which I love, but no messy snow. It's nice when it first comes down, then it gets dirty and it's a pain to drive in it.
Thanks Terri and Es, Joe is fine now. Luckily we didn't have to make too many changes in his diet, as his cholesterol isn't a factor, it's at 156 and we don't eat fried foods or a lot of red meat. The biggest adjustment has been the morning routine of aspirin and two other meds he has to take. His dr. has assured us that it shouldn't happen again, that there are no more blockages. He's got a checkup on the 24th, goes twice a year. I truly do appreciate every day we've had together since it happened.
Myra, those munchies stink. I know I get them from boredom. I'm still having a very difficult time with craving sweets, and fruit just isn't cutting it! Does anyone know how many points are in one Werther's butterscotch candy? I'm having one a day, after dinner.
I heard the great news today, hope I am not bursting your balloon. But I missed you in chat and the gang told me the wonderful news! And I just had to congradulate you!!
