Happy Birthday Diane, btw, my daughter shares your birthday. She turned 24. Sounds like you had a wonderful day!! I'm impressed with musical variety, you have good taste in music. I love listening to music, all kinds.
Es, how tall or you? I'm 5'1, I think my goal is 125 lbs. The limit for my height is 127, so I may have to go a few lbs under that so that I can maintain lifetime (when I get there). Always plans to think ahead!! Good luck with your weigh-in!!
Well I'm headed for bed. I have 5 essays to turn into English tomorrow. I wrote two, retyped two and still have one to write. I'll get it done tomorrow morning before class. I hate when I put things off.
Finals are next week. I'll be in and out between now and then, I probably won't be able to stay long, there is plenty studying to do!!
Thanks JanieD. and Essie,
Brittany loves to see her name in print. I thanked her so much. It felt so good because she loves school and she offered and did sooo much.
Good luck Essie. It might not be as bad as you think.
Fingers are crossed.
That is fantastic Dianne. Your co-workers treat you right. That is so cool! You have a great family. Love the disc man.
Happy Birthday again. I am so glad that I can share a great mind like Essie's.
Good luck with class Ruth.
My news.
I was going out to get the paper yesterday and I got hit in the face by a bouquet of baloons from Bruce. They were for me for being sick. They were left there by the florist. They were tied to my sprinkling can. Bruce used to do this all the time when I worked and sent them to my work but now I had noone but the kids to share so I wanted to share with my friends.
The kids were so excited. There are about 8 balloons on there. I felt like a little kid. It was fun.
Good luck on your finals Ruth! I'm glad that school is behind me, but I still write papers. That's what I do for a living. I am a reporter. Got one article out last night, a few more are due the next week or so. But I shouldn't complain. There is a lot of uncertainty with one publication I write for. They are restructuring and I have no idea what that means for me. I should thank God that I am still getting work.
HI gals,
Well I weighed in this morning and no change again I just got my period today too so maybe that is why. Or maybe I am just cranky because we have had so much rain lately. My clothes are fittting looser though so maybe I am loosing inches if not weight. I hope so anyway.
Myra,
Hope your WI goes better than mine. What type of reporting do you do? WHat journals do you write for? It sounds like a very intersting lifestyle.
Dianne,
I am so glad you had such a lovely birthday, actually I am a little jealous. My december birthday is on the 25th so my birthday is usually overlooked because everyone is so busy. You have a great network of friends, family and coworkers.
I write for several trade publications, mainly in the metals industry although I am looking to expand to other areas, mainly health writing. I enjoy it when I am not chasing down payments. That is the problem with freelancing.
Janie, a maintain is not bad, especially during that time of the month. Anyway as long as you are losing inches and feeling better that is what matters. Next week the water weight will disappear and you will see a big loss. Just wait and see.
Woke up with a horrible sore throat, and am all stuffy and headachy....I don't need this right now!!! Thank goodness for Nyquil tonight.
Dianne, glad you had a good birthday. Sounds like you've got great coworkers. LOL you won't say what year. I think I'm the oldest in this group, so don't sweat it
Ruth, good luck with your finals. I'm so stressed and I'm only taking one class! Completed my last homework assignment this morning (YESS!) it took me 3 hours. Quiz tonight, review next week, then the final the following week. Hope you do well! Happy Birthday, belated, to your daughter.
Janie, it must be due to your period. Hang in there. Look at the birthday situation this way.....you share the day with someone very special
Terri.....awwww....what a great guy Bruce is! Hope you're feeling better by now.
Es,you freaked me out, I didn't read that you reposted Ruth's message, and couldn't understand why you were saying you had a daughter that turned 24!!!!! I thought you only had David.....my brain is clogged.
Still have to finish Christmas shopping, along with the tree. I feel so far behind. It's almost 70 here today!! Unreal. No wonder I don't feel like it's Christmas.
No wonder everyone is getting sick. The weather is so warm everywhere. I am going to a home game at Pittsburgh Steelers
new stadium and watch it will be the first sub zero day. It will be on Dec. 23rd.
I hope you are feeling better now Jen.
JanieD.
Myra is right. It is probably because of your time. I bet you will have a big one next week. Keep doing what you are doing.
Jen, too funny. There's only David. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. It's going around. That's what I had last week. Mine started on Tuesday & lasted 2 days.
Terri, I cracked up with your attachment. I love it! LOL
That was very sweet of Bruce. You deserve it
Dianne, what a great birthday you had. That was very nice of your co-workers. They did that for me last year & I turned beet red. They always make fun of me cause I get embarrassed easily.
I'm happy to hear you had a happy one!
JanieD, as long as your clothes are getting big don't sweat it. You're doing great!
Oh, oh - Es and Terri made Jen sick Bad girls! Jen,hope you feel better quickly. I think I may have you beat in the age department -- let's just say that when my next birthday rolls around, I'll have to leave this group I'll miss you all!
Ruth - thanks for the birthday wishes and happy belated birthday to your daughter!
Janie - Jen's right you may get "gyped" in the birthday/xmas department, but you certainly do share a birthday with someone very special Well, we sure won't forget your birthday. lol.
Myra congrats on your loss.
Terri -- Soooooooooo sweet of Bruce - he's a sweety from St. Petey!
Hey Zoe girl - how are you?
Es - yes it was a bit embarrassing when my co-workers sang happy birthday, but it was fun.
Well, gotta get going to bed, soooooooooo tired. Have a great Thursday everyone.
Morning ladies, I'm sitting here going through the message boards trying to get motivated to get on my treadmill. I'm just not a morning person!!
MYRA, that is a fabulous loss. I would be on cloud nine if I lost that much in one week. My weight seems to be coming off a lot slower that it did the last time I was on WW, maybe I was exercising more then!!
JENNY, what is your major again, are you working on your masters. I have one more homework assignment for art class. It will be a have to this afternoon. I have to go to a local art museum and view three different Jacob Lawrence series. Then I'll have to run home and write a brief paper on what I thought of the pieces. I have three hours between my last class this morning and my afternoon art class. I have three test next Tuesday, one Wednesday, and one Thursday. My major studying will be biology and math. I've got a 97% in the math class, but there are 3 chapters that I've been lazy and haven't done the homework. Good luck with your test!!
Hi Es, Janie, Diane, Terri and anyone else that I missed, we are slowly headed for the weekend!!
Ruth what a Special Birthday! . Bruce's is the 19th. He said it never felt as special cause he was already excited about Christmas. He wanted to be excited another time too.
Dianne,
You can stay 49 forever on the 3fc site. We won't tell!
You better not leave. We will change the name if we have to.
"The fabulous 40's and 50's." or something.
YAY MYRA! Yopu are doing great girl!!!!! Congrats on the loss.
Terri, I feel so much better now. I'm not the only one who gets peoples messages mixed up. I am the Christmas Baby not Ruth. And thank you all I know I share my bd with a very special person, but lets just say, he's a tough act to follow There is one good thing about my birthday, I always get the day off! My poor husband when we were first dating tried to take me out to dinner on my birthday. I just thought to myself, "this I've got to see." We drove around and around and around for hours trying to find a resterant that was open. Finally we found a little Chinese place and did take out. Now it is kind of a tradition that we have chinese take out for Christmas dinner (I won't cook on my birthday).
Sorry about that! I could have sworn it was Ruth.
You have Chinese for Christmas like on A Christmas Story.
Fa ra ra ra ra ra ra ra ra!
I could eat Chinese everyday of the year. Great tradition!
My mom makes a huge dinner the day after Christmas and Bruce
s parents go to her daughters for the day and we end up eating sandwiches at my moms. She always wants to hurry and make something and I tell her no. Save what strength (after having all grandchildren over all day) you have left for tomorrows dinner.
