When I get stuck at a McD's for breakfast (yes, it does happen), I always go for the Egg McMuffin. One egg, canadian bacon, english muffin, and American "cheese". Not the best whole food around, but only 300 calories total, enough protein to stick, and relatively low in saturated fat. Add an OJ, and it is almost reasonable. Almost.

I"ve been so not whole foody lately. I've been away from my apartment at least 12 hours a day, so collapse when I come home.
But today...
Breakfast: High fiber english muffin, 1/4 cup egg whites, 1 slice cheese, and 1/2 tablespoon reduced fat mayo, coffee
Lunch: Broccoli and cheese soup (lots of broccoli, made with skim milk and cabots light cheese)
Dinner: Probably not whole foodie. Have a dinner meeting at a catered banquet hall. Might stick to salad, but that is unlikely.

Anne - that would definitely have been a better choice for me! My UNhealthy eating habits are SO ingrained that sometimes I've already made the wrong choice before even thinking about the fact that I HAD a better choice. Particularly in PMS mode - which is where I'm heading.

I probably would benefit from a little list in my wallet with the BEST options for a variety of situations - so I don't ever find myself overwhelmed and going back on old habits! I'll work on that this weekend...
