1. I would plan for veggies and more protein at lunch; tuna salad, turkey rollups, hb eggs, veggie quiche in tupperware, etc.
2. I would read up on l-glutamine's ability to fight sugar cravings.
I like to keep some flour tortillas in the frig (espec. whole grain ones). Add some lettuce, maybe FF refried beans and salsa. Eat it as a wrap, either hot beans or cold. Very quick and filling. Depending on your eating plan you could add LF cheese, or substitute canned beans instead of the FF refried beans, add other veggies, etc.
My usuals are:
-- Greek Yogurt, Nature's Path Granola and Berries (I tried canned pumpkin the other day instead of berries, added some stevia to sweeten and cinnamon - so good!)
-- A slice of Ezequiel Bread toasted w/ a smear of nut butter and all-fruit spread
-- Cottage Cheese, Nuts and Fruit
-- String Cheese and an Apple

Oh yeah. The first one, I have all the time, often daily. And the second ... mmm, my favorite treat lately is Greek yogurt with a bit of pumpkin butter (maybe 1/2 T or so) - I like it just barely sweet and still a touch sour. My pumpkin butter is gone and I've been debating with myself whether I should get anymore

Pumpkin butter is a great idea!!! I eat the yogurt/granola/fruit EVERY DAY too. Today's fruit was pomegranate seeds (I buy them ready to go so no de-seeding necessary LOL! Really tasty!
I'd like pumpkin butter but I don't like the added sugar they put into it. I think Cracker Barrel actually has no sugar added pumpkin and apple butter. I found it there before. Also there is this place in Julian, CA (outside of San Diego) that has tons of fruit 'butters' with no added sugar or sweetened with juice, can't remember which. I forget their name though.
High Desert Farms has All Natural Sugar Free & Salt Free Pumpkin Butter (12 oz. jar). I found it on Amazon - of all places (in my mind that is supposed to be books not food! ) I'm not sure of where else it can be purchased.

Oh, I would prefer that too. That's why I was debating whether to get any more.
1/3 - 1/2 can refried beans (organic black beans with roasted red peppers is my favorite) mixed with 2T fresh salsa (I use the fresh stuff you get in the produce section of the market). Mix together and heat in the microwave for about a minute. Use as a dip for baby carrots or other veggies.
i love my walnuts too! i have a glass dish sitting on the counter of unshelled walnuts and a nut cracker on top!
It reminds me of christmas's when i was a kid. I can't set out a dish of candy because i would never be able to leave it alone, so it's somehow neat to me to have this dish of nuts sitting on the counter. Homey i guess.
I also filled a ceramic jar with bags of tea The jar was a gift, and my first thought was "oh, a candy jar!" but i never wanted to have candy in the house, so the jar sat empty for a while. So it's nice to have my green tea (Trader Joe's brand!) on the counter in easy reach, and in a pretty jar.
