Talking New to 3fc, return WW'er & 1st WI results

Hi all!

I'm Cindy from Northern Ca. I lost 70lbs on WW 3 yrs ago and fell off the wagon just as I was about to knock on onederlands door I slipped right back into my old habits and regained most of my weight by Jan '06, then in Feb I quit smoking and packed the rest on plus 6 more Now that I've got 7 months of not smoking under my belt it's time to work on the rest of me again.

So, I recommitted on Monday 8/28 and have been OP since then. I had my first WI this morning and am down 5.6 lbs!

I really need to work on getting my water in, I'm a diet-coke-aholic and it's a hard habit to break. Plain old water is just not my thing.

Thanks! I just decided it was time and did it. Cold turkey, no meds lots of food www.quitnet.com has some great info and support. I really do feel so much better since I quit too. It only took a few days before the morning cough was gone and my sense of smell came back quickly too. OMG I didn't realize how bad I smelled until I could smell it on others. I still run across stuff in my house that smells like smoke. One of the things that really helped me was downloading a quit meter that keeps track of your stats. It'll put your stats in forums and stuff too by pushing a few buttons on your keyboard.

Here are my stats.

Seven months, one day, 6 hours, 8 minutes and 28 seconds. 6397 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,039.42. Life saved: 3 weeks, 1 day, 5 hours, 5 minutes.

Too bad WW doesn't have an OP meter, that would be cool!

Thanks for that site! I'm going to have to check it out! I think about how much money I'm going to save lol. It's amazing lol. Ya even though I dont' smoke in my house I can smell it in my closet from my clothes hamper lol. I dont' want to quit but I know I need to and I'll be happy I did once I get it done and over with lol.
