i keep failing at this and keep asking myself why cant i do this?! anyone else?

The very first thing you need to do is STOP beating yourself up! Weight loss is a difficult, slow process. And unlike smokers, or drinkers, or whatnot...we have to face our "addiction" every single day. Every meal is full of choices, and chances to derail.

It's easy to get so down about your weight, and how far there is to go...but remember that you do have a community here, full of people ready to support you!

andrea - don't beat yourself up about it. Many people have been in the same situation. Losing weight is a daily challenge and even when you get the goal it is still work to maintain.

The two most inspiring people on this board (Mel & Meg) whom I actually got to meet said the same thing - even though they were successful they still find that each day presents its challenges and some days are better than others.

Maybe you need to sit and review your goals and what your reasons for losing weight are, go over your WW materials from booklet 1 and onward and start with a clean slate and fresh perspective.

You can go it!

Andrea - we have been here together for a few months. I have watched you struggle but what I most admire about you is that even though you are struggling, you still pop in here, you post encouragement and your struggles. You want to do this but somehow you haven't quite found the combination lately to pull it together. It's okay. If any of us had a magic bullet, we'd be incredibly wealthy. I think Mauvaisroux has a good suggestion. Start like it's Day 1. Put the rest behind you and just start anew.

ANDREA im in the same boat everyday i say ok we are gonna do this but let me tell you i have alot of stuff in life going on and it gets thrown out the window so ditto i just cant seem to do this anymore im scared to get on the scale last time i did was 2 weeks ago and was up now that i havent been watching im so affarid i'll be back where i started sigh
take care and we can get back some how

thank you soooo much for all the support!

sup rosie? thanks michelle im so sorry youre going through this too---stress bites. i was watching bl last night and the veruy quick after pic of eric(our local contestant) has given me new hope cause he looks like he dropped to bout 170 from 407!

i plan on buying the new kit on sunday and after xmas am gonna see if i can really pull it together.

I understand completely! I can do good all day at work and come home and blow it! I am disappointed that I have not made the goal I set myself for the year end. It is my fault-- I sabotage it! But I am determined and will not give up. I am going to do this!!!!!!!!!!!!
