Anniversary Dinner- Help My anniversary is Friday (33 years ) and we plan to go to dinner. I have been researching all types of restaurants for their menus to find something I can fit in my points. I plan on having a salad for lunch and a light breakfast so I will have most of my points for dinner. Right now I think we are planning on a steak place, maybe split a potatoe, and get veggies. we never have dessert so that is not a problem.
I also have 2 birthday parties this weekend to attend. BBQ will most likely be the main entree. One, I can take a small baked potatoe with me. I can avoid the cakes.
My question is, finally, is it alright to save my points and use my flex points for these outings? It seems I will be eating more those 3 days and worry about gaining. Do you all save your flex points and use them at one time?

congrats on 33 yrs. my husband and i will be celebrating our 17th on friday. i don't have to worry about what to eat because we are not going to be able to go out. i take it that you are doing ww. do you still have your extra points for the week. if you do, you might want to use them all that night so that you don't have to worry so much about what you eat. i always keep my points to near nothing during the day and then i eat what i want at night. it works for me. good luck!
it is fine to keep your extra weekly points and then blow them all at once keeping in mind that you will experience a slight weight gain if you do it this way, so it would probably be good to have a few days between the gorging and the weigh in. Keep in mind that you cannot go under your daily points and save them, but you could certainly come out even every day and then use your 35 over the weekend.
In other words: If you are allotted 22 points per day you could eat exactly 22 points everyday and keep the extra 35 until the end of the week. However, you cannot eat 20 points and add 2 to your weekly points.
PArties and restaurants are hard. I would suggest eating a salad or raw veggies before going out. For the picnics, i would suggest bringing something healthy to chare with everyone. There's lots of WW recipes that work well at parties that people are surprised to learn are ww (i've heard good things about the 1 point chili)
