Hi all- I have a wonderful WW cookbook I bought on ebay, but its an older version (1993) when they still used the exchange system. Is there an easy way to convert that to points? Or do I just need to take the nutritional info and use my points finder? Any help or hints would be super!
Is the exchange program in the book? Some of the older cookbooks had it listed. It's been a long time since I've read the exchange program, but from what I can remember of it, I can't think of an exact way to convert individual points. If I remember right, grains were worth something like 80 calories a serving, and veggies worth 25 calories, etc. If all exchanges were the same amount of calories, it could be done. I think it would be easier to calculate it manually.
Thanks all- I think points finder is the way- it doesnt have the conversion, but it does have the nutritional info- now, the second thing will be calculating the recipes given the fact that since 93 they've come up with so many great non-fat alternatives to products in this book that were either regular or at the most "lowfat" back then. BUT- when i do, I'll be sure to post the recipes!
