What piece of clothing will you never wear again??

  • Hi to all of you. Going through some of my clothes today, I came across a pair of sweat pants that I wore 25 lbs ago and can still wear them because of the way these things stretch. I can't bear to wear it again because I remember how miserable I felt. What will you never wear again?
  • This is an interesting topic
I guess the things that I will NEVER wear again would be the large, shapeless t-shirts that I used to wear. When I was heavier my wardrobe consisted of jeans, t-shirts and sneakers. I would "hide" under those things. I am now able to wear the stylish and trendy things I always wanted to wear but never could. I remember how terrible I would feel lost inside those layers of clothing while everyone else my age would wear the clothes that were in style. I never want to feel that way again
I guess that is why we are all here on this site - to help free ourselves from our prison of heaviness.
  • After I reached lifetime in 1989, I had a burning of the "Moo-Moo" party. I always wore them around the house to be comfortable and at age 31 (then) I was old before my time.

Even now, at age 43, I will not even look at one. I do have some large t-shirts and bike shorts I wear around the house to be comfortable and feel younger than I did at 31!!
  • This topic is timely because I was just going through my closet last night trying on clothes that are a size smaller than I was wearing when I started to lose weight. I was actually rejoicing that I could wear clothes that have been in my closet for a long time - even ones that are new and still have the tags on. You know, one of those purchases made with the incentive to lose weight, but I never got around to losing weight.

However, I was also grieving because I like many of the clothes that I have outgrown. Not evough to gain the weight back, mind you, but clothes that I purchased because I liked them. As a temp. measure, I will take them to the tailer and have them altered and still enjoy for a while. I was just feeling a little saddened...

I do, however, have those over-sized t-shirts that I will still continue to wear in the garden and hope that they wear out, or get too dirty really fast. Others I wear to bed as night shirts.

All in all, I have difficulty getting rid of anything...must be my Scottish heritage.
  • If I ever get going on my weight loss journey the first thing I want gone is pants with elastic, followed closely by big shirts that you wear hoping that they cover your behind.
  • I will never wear the big girl jeans I am forced to wear right now. But even after I lose this weight I won't wear the hideous stetchy shirts I used to wear pre-baby. God no. What was I thinking back then?!!?!?
  • White cotton full fit underpants. I may never have the body or the courage to wear a thong bikini panty, but I'm hoping someday to wear silky high cut panties and a sexy bra. Really knock the old boy 's socks off.
