Sorry I've been MIA! It's been a busy weekend and week!
DNR: Congratulations on the grandbaby! Pictures????? I'm sure she's just beautiful! (God makes them that way so when they won't stop crying...you don't throw them out a window!) :p No, I miss babies! I have really only one regret in my life and that is that my DH and I didn't have a baby right after we married. I was very gun-shy after my first marriage and being a single mom to my DS and insisted we wait...then health problems took their toll and by the time I was in a position to think about it I was over 40 and didn't really want to start again with a little one. Now that I feel up to it I'm 42 and have fibroids and about to undergo a proceedure that will render it impossible... Boy that was a lot of whining when a congratulations was the idea! GeeChee: Bless you for keeping these WW threads alive! I barely have time to get on the internet and tend to run right to the 300+ threads first! (sorry:^: ) Has your heel healed? Exercise has been non-existant the last few days! It's been cold enough I haven't walked outside and I've had so much to do at home the eliptical hasn't gotten used either! Heck, I've missed my favorite TV shows - that I NEVER miss! That shows how busy I've been! Jeanne: I HATE MRI's! For various reasons, I've had LOTS of them. First my back...I got the "open" MRI for that at first, which is better than the tiny tube. Then I developed a benign tumor on my pituitary gland that required brain MRI's every three months for a time. I also happen to be somewhat claustrophobic...NOT a good combination. I was so worried I'd get stuck in the darn thing. I'd probably be better now that I'm thinner, but at top weight - it was HORRIBLE! In fact, I skipped the last one. They were running late and left me standing in the room looking at the :censored: thing...even talking to the tech about how tiny it was...when they put me in I freaked! My advice is...valium. If not, definately, close your eyes BEFORE you go in and then don't open them until it's over. Try to imagine you are laying on a beach somewhere and it's warm and sunny and - if it's pressing on you anywhere - imagine it's some handsome man's arms around you and that you can get up anytime you want! Fantasy is a good thing! If it's lower back, see if you can go in feet first...that's better. Boxerdawg:  Well WI is today, so I'll stop back by later and tell you how it went! Later ladies! |
In total, I have to lose 140lbs! I have 14 down!
|
Quick update: WI was 244.4! Not as good as I hoped, but I'll take it!
Jenny: I know you! Did you post on the 300+ threads ever, or maybe the journals? Your wonderful alias "thefictionalme" is hard to forget! :D |
Hey good to see you all,,
Lilion,,thanks for the words of encougement,,,,the closer Friday comes the more panic I become,,,I am going to take a xanax on the way over ,,it's a hour plus from here,,,(remember I live in the sticks ha ) and maybe I will take another when I get there,,,the palms of my hands are sweating right now just writing it,,,and I keep telling myself how stupid it is that I am so freaked out,,,but can't explain it,,,,strange,,,, Well eough of me,,,how is every one else doing today,,,whats the weater like where everyone is ?,,,,,how is everyone doing on program ?,,,,I stayed on track yesterday and really did make good choices,,,,today is a work day for me and they are easier for me,,,Until I get home,,,thats where the mini bags of pop corn come in handy for me, well have a wonderful day you all and talk with you soon,,,Jeanne |
How?
How do you go about posting a picture in your reply?
DNR |
To be perfectly honest...I'm taking a "meal off" WW today. It's "snack-day" at work and, while I brought something lowfat and virtually sugar-free, NO ONE else did. I have given myself permission to eat the fattening cheese dips, etc. and just not count it. Tonight I'm back on track, probably with a salad for dinner.
Does anyone else ever do that? Take a meal or a day off? On the official WW website boards some people seem dead-set against it and others, like me, seem to think it's no big deal as long as it's an occasional thing and you go right back to journalling and counting afterwards. I have it written in my journal, I just know the points are uncountable they are so high! (Not to mention unknown.) Doing this has never hurt me. I was wondering what other's think of doing this. Well, must run. Jeanne - take a deep breath - it's really not that bad! Have you had them before? The Xanex ought to be all you need! Make sure someone else is driving you if you are going to take two...the proceedure won't last long enough for them to wear off! |
DNR: See the little picture of a mountain in the reply spot? If you click that you can import a picture. You need a url though. I have a photobucket account where it gives you a image url and then you just put it in.
For instance: this picture: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/...y/100_0159.jpg is on my photobucket account and the url is (without the spaces that I added so it would not just show a photo) http: / / i8.photobucket.com / albums / a2 / AliceShockley / 100_0159.jpg So I just click the litte mountain and fill in the url and the picture shows up. Make sense? Those are my three babies BTW!:D |
Well I am out the door to work in a few,,,Lilion I am having a friend go with me,,,one xanax really doen't affect me ,,,but your right 2 might,,,ha ha,,,
I don't know how to put a picture in either or a ticker,,,I gave up on that a while ago,,,,how do you get a url account ? About taking a day off or a meal,,,this is how I feel,,,,as long as you don't think in your mind oh I blew it might as well go on a binge,,,then I think it is ok,,,,it works for me,,,and look how much weight you have lost so it must work for you also,,,,I think it is a mind set,,,?,,,If I couldn't take a day off now and then or a meal off then I would really go on a binge,,,,I think it is good because WE made the choice,,,and didn't lose control,,,later friends,,Jeanne |
Yes Lilion it makes sense but I only have the picture saved as a jpg on my computer. It doesn't have a URL as it's not on the internet.

DNR - Okay...so instead try this!
Click "Post Reply". When the reply window pops up, below you'll see "Additional Options". One option is "Attach Files". Click "Manage Attachments" and follow the instructions there. The only problem you may have is the file size. Sometimes you have to shrink them quite a bit! I ate badly during the day yesterday, snack day at work and I decided to just eat what I wanted! But I had a salad for dinner and I walked 2.2 miles and I'm back on track today! Hope everyone has a great day! |
i take vacations from WW. usually on weigh in day, after i weigh, i just kind of eat what i feel like. although last night i went to the olive garden, and couldn't eat as much of that as i could in the past. i think my habits are changing! generally, even though i'm on "vacation", i still eat pretty well.
speaking of weigh in, i'm down 18.8 now! i lost 1.8 this week. my weight tracker thingie is a bit off, though, but i'm willing to forgive it. last week, when i thought i would quit, i just thought about how i felt 17 pounds ago. and it wasn't good. i've never been slim, but until about a year ago, i was comfortable with my body. now? not so much. but i'm getting there, little by little. :) |
DNR - SHE'S BEAUTIFUL!!! What a Lucky Grandma! :D
Top O' the Mornin' to Ya!:irish: Who's saving points for Green Beer? Not me...nor corned beef...but I am wearing green! :patrick: Feeling really good today. I had a few bad moments yesterday - a rather thoughtless friend ticked me off no end when she was shocked and horrified to find out she now weighs MORE than me! I was like, "Why the bleep shouldn't you weigh more than me? Do I HAVE to always be the fat girl?" But you know, I'm over it - or more accurately, I've channeled it in a positive direction. I'M THROUGH BEING THE FAT CHICK! I've spent my entire 42 years being the fattest of my friends and I'm not going to be any more! I'm going to be the pretty one for a change! This weight is GONE! It just doesn't know it yet. So...Here's to a new start! The heck with New Year's Resolutions - St. Patty's day is more fun anyway! :kissluck: |
No Green Beer for Me
No points for green beer - if I'm going to overspend on my points, I'm going to have something better than that. I am also wearing green today although I'm not Irish.
I had lunch with a person today that I haven't seen in a while and she said, "my God, you look like you've lost a lot of weight," and I said, "36 lbs.," and she said, "as I was coming down the hall, I almost didn't think it was you." So, I thanked her for that compliment. Keep them coming - it keeps me keeping on!!! I know one thing, when I hit 40 lbs (4 more), I'm getting some new pants. The crotch on all my pants seems to be hanging to my knees and feels awful. I've been rolling up the waistbands to try to fix that and then they are too short. I made a mini goal when I hit the 40 lb. mark that new pants was the plan. DNR |
