Smile Newbie! Need to lose 100 lbs.....

Hello everyone,
Im new to the boards. I started WW In May 2000 and went until Jan 2001 when i started taking college classes at night and ended up not being able to attend the same meeting and never got motivated to continue in another meeting time. So ive been off plan for months and gained back most of what i had lost. I was down to low for WW at 220 lbs im back up at 240-246 lbs it goes up and down around that, because i dont drink as much water as i should but im getting it back slowly.
I want to re-join but dont think i can afford it right now. I do how-ever have my materials and could do it at-home on my own but havent been motivated and hope i will get enough motivation on these boards to get going again if not i will try my hardest to re-join if i have to put up some money and pre-pay 10 weeks package or whatever it is. I have a fairly large settlement from a car accident coming sometime if i dont get back at it i will have to start meetings again.
I guess i can start by laying out my materials on the counter and just journal for starters even if i dont stay in range i can work at it and next week hopefully will stay in range. My plan is to maybe use slim-fast with WW when school starts back up next month to make quick and easy meals when i wont have time to make dinners i know that most slim-fast folks use them at breakfast but i like to eat ceral in the morning. But anyway i was think to use it as lunch and or dinner with fruit and other small meals through-out day. What do you all think?
Well hope to make lots of friends as this is a long journey for us all and it helps to have support.
I know we can all achieve our goals and be happy and healthy weights..
My goal is to be 140-147 lbs but will adjust more when i get closer i just need to think of my restarting 10% and go from there. So that makes my first goal 221.4 !!!
Take care everyone and good luck on this weeks weigh-in...

Hi Lissaluv789!

I, too, am an at-home WW. Motivation is a problem for me, also. I have it, lose some (weight), then lose some/all (motivation).

Just reading your post about laying all of your materials out and getting a new look at them has made me think, "Yeah, I can do that too - not just think about doing it." So, thank you (already). Tonight I'll go home and do just that. It's time we take our lives back and get them in control.

About the Slim-Fast: I've drank it a few times, but have never used it really as part of a diet plan, so I can't tell you how it will work. I have read on a 3FC post (either under WW or the 100 Pound Club) that it actually had a negative affect for some people. (If I remember correctly, I think one person was very constipated from it.) Each person is different. You can always give it a try. If nothing else, you can keep it on hand for food emergencies - like a chocolate attack.

Annie,
thank you for the reply it is very nice to have support and motivational people to relate problems too. Im glad i finally signed up on these boards, I lurked a few time but want to make it a habit to come alot because i think it will keep me in line and im ready and willing to do what i must to get this weight coming back off. I have a treadmill that I bought back in Jan and i also have a fitball and a tape of ab workout and upper body strengthing/toning. I have to set up a fitness program and stay motivated with the exercise. My problem was that when i stopped meetings in Jan I told myself I better eat all the good stuff now because im going back when summer comes and im just getting back to it i really should not have let that get in my way but its done and I can't go back, only forward with better habits.
Well i'll see you around.

246(start) /221.4(10%) /246(now)
Goal 140-145

lissaluv789: You've "hit the nail on the head" by saying that you need to set up a fitness plan. You need to do what is right for you as far as exercise goes and the food you eat. I think the plan works better if a person sets time aside at first just to get organized and plan what he/she wants to complish. Then set aside time just for you for eating, planning, exercising. Unfortunately, life gets the best of us and things slip out of place. I guess that's where I am right now. I need to make that time to get organized all over again.

Forget what happened in the past. I call those times "learning experiences". You are working on you, with the start of each new day.
