Default The Right Balance?

I've been stuck for a while and haven't lost so decided to go back and review my old materials to make sure that I am staying on track. I've looked high and low this morning and can not find week six. I know it is the one that suggests what the balance of foods could be. Could someone help me out with a quick summary?

Thanks

Default THE RIGHT MIX

Hi there. Yes, it's a question similar to one just asked about ww low carb plan (which doesn't exist!)

Anyway, here you go: The ESTIMATE on your daily requirements based on your points range are as follows:

Milk: 4 points (required)
Fat: 2-3 points (required)
Fruit/Veg: 0-3 points
Protein: 6-8 points
Carbs: 6-9 points

For weights above 225 lbs:
Balanced High Pro High Carb

Fruits/Veg 1-4 pts 2-3 pts 2-5 pts
Milk/milk prod 4-6 4-6 4-6
Protein 8-10 10-14 5-7
Carb/Grain 9-12 6-9 12-15
Added sugar/Fat/
alcohol 4-5 4-5 3-4

For Weights less than 225 lbs:

Balanced High Pro High Carb

Fruits/Veg 0-3pts 0-1 pts 0-3 pts
Milk/milk prod 4-6 4-6 4-6
Protein 6-8 8-10 4-6
Carb/Grain 6-9 4-8 9-12
Added sugar/Fat/
alcohol 2-3 2-4 1-2

That's it! Good luck.

Default Messed up Format!

The formatting went out the window on my above reply. There should be three headings: Balanced, High Pro, High Carb. If you can visualize the numbers as shown beneath the headings, then the ranges are easy to see. email me directly if you want it clarified. So sorry.

The week 6 booklet does give WW version of a low carb (not no carb) plan.

Come over to the WW Low Carb section and see the threads there for some great ideas and the points range. We also have the entire section from the Right Mix there so you can answer the questions and see what might work best for you.

Hey Susan! Just moved up the three basic program explanation threads up to the top of the WW Low Carb section for newbies this morning!
MaryBee - come join up if you'd like - we're small, but enthusiastic - the new approach seems to be keeping us on track and losing, if not as quickly as we'd all like (like 50 pound in one week would make me happy).

Hi,

I want to emphasize the suggestion that you take the quiz before deciding which plan to follow. When I took the quiz, I discovered that the higher (complex) carbs and slightly lower protein was the right balance for me. I've done much better since I started doing that. Also, it gave me some insight about why I had such a difficult time with the older, super high protein, super low carb WW plans.

Good luck!

Thanks, everyone, for the info. I'm going to head over to the low carb site and take the test. I'm sure I'll be visiting with you over there.
