I brought Terri over here, lest you all miss her. Hope you don't mind!
Happy Friday the 13th!
Good morning ladies!
Seems like I fell off the face of the earth. Sorry for being AWOL but I've been getting up early to get to work plus work has been absolutely crazy the last couple of weeks. I come home exhausted. I'm also moving into high gear because we move one week from today!! Woohoo, this has been a long struggle to get a house and its almost over.
I haven't been doing the best with the food thing. I'm maintaining right now as we had too many meals out last week plus been so tired and busy this week to care. I need to get a plan this weekend and get groceries in the house so maybe I can by OP next week and not lose more time.
My tick bite got worse before it got better. Had to go back to the doc for additional meds. Weird because I've never had this from a tick bite before. So that hasn't helped me to feel good this week. But its looking much better this morning and doesn't hurt.
I'm so far behind to post individually. But I see that you are doing well OP and the attitudes are still so positive. That will help me get back in the groove. Keep up all your great work. I better get dressed and get moving. Have a great day!

Live it by one meal, one step, one day, one pound at a time
I am in between trips to the theatre. I have a counting job this weekend. Did some other shops at the mall while I was on that side of town. I figured I would turn $60 into $100 while I was over that way!
The candle party was fun. My cousin's DIL is getting into the business. I did indulge some because I love Mexican, but I went into it with banked points and low for the day, so now I just started with fresh points this morning and no carry overs. I don't think I ate up all I had banked, but I didn't even try to journal it either!
Terri: Glad you're back. I figured you'd be well into getting your place packed up by now. One more week. How exciting! I bet you can't wait!!! Hope you don't mind that I brought you over here.
Cindy: I bet that dog just LOVES you!!!! He must be a great companion. And think of it this way, if you do walk him on a regular basis, you'll feel real guilty about missing a day with him!!!
Maggie: You're doing such a great job! Keep up the good work! I love how you refer to your 'thin self' doing this and that. My 'thin self' is learning to grab fruit instead of other 'nastys' for snacks. We're learning, girlfriend. We're learning.
Diane: 4.5# WooHoo!!! You should be "ecstatic"!!! Good for you. RE: "Why do I do these things to myself?" If I had the answer to that I could be rich. I have decided that it's Attitude that makes all things work ---- either way ---- good or bad. I can go to WI and lose big and go out and eat. Or I can gain and go out and eat. It depends on where my head is at the time. Go figure!!
Chatty: What a great way to spend an evening, sitting on the porch. Too many bugs here to do that.
Gotta run back to the show.

Good Friday Evening ladies, another gorgeous day in the Windy City with temps in the 70's again. I was at work, indoors, for most of the day, but now I'm free and able to get a start on the weekend. Hooray! Why, there is still plenty of sun left out there. Oh yes, and an eager dog to walk tonight. Yup, we're definately "bonding." I'm sticking to the program and expect that I will have another OP day today, by the end of it. Ladies, I am "stealing" some of my old replies from the end of the old thread. You each have a lovely OP evening and a great OP weekend.
Maggie, I'm back with the program and feeling great about it. I don't dare take it for granted though. One day at a time for me. You are knocking down the days to make your custom plan a habit. Nice going on letting the "thin you" take charge and eating the delicious tomato. Doing good there, lady.
Geri, glad that you had fun at the candle event. Your careful planning paid off and your were able to enjoy your favorite Mexican food and stay OP. Can't beat that! Nice going Geri! Yup, the dog and I are becoming quite an inseperable pair -- skinny black dog with his not-so-skinny, human sister. He doesn't care how I look though in his honest, non-judgmental way. He is just happy to see me because I am his walking friend who also gives him treats! We're heading out tonight again. You're right, I would feel pretty guilty if I didn't walk with him on such a beautiful, low-humidity night.
Diane, you are doing great by accounting for what you ate and learning to make the adjustments to your plan. No one is perfect and all that matters is that you forgive yourself and stick with the plan in the long run.
Chatty, hey there girl. You and me are having some great evening weather, aren't we? Glad that you had a great OP day. Nice going there. As to your kind offer of a dog. Well . . . err. . . thanks, but I wouldn't dream of depriving you of your dear pooch.
Terri, good to hear from you girlfriend! Again, you are one busy lady! Hey, with all that is going on in your life, maintaining is a real success. You just hang in there and keep up the good work. Sorry to hear about the nasty tick bite. Ouch! I hope that it gets better real soon. Take care of yourself busy lady.
Good morning everyone! I have so much paperwork to do and what do I do???? I come in here to say 'howdy' before I do anything else. Shame on me, but I'm addicted to you guys!
I finished out yesterday with 3 points in my pocket! WooHoo! My scale is showing a loss so once again I am actually looking forward to Monday morning's WI for a change.
We had a steakhouse to do last night but I ordered Grilled Chicken, so I was a 'good girl'. Except they serve HUGE portions and I ate it all, but I had the points left so what the hey??? I did avoid the theatre popcorn all day yesterday and my plan is to avoid again today!
I got up this morning and made a batch of Pistachio Fluff so I have something in the fridge to grab on the go!
Again, sorry for the boring update, but it is keeping me honest!
Thanks for the shoulder!
This is going to be one busy day. Got a wedding to do at 2 but all the folks who are in the "party" have to assemble for the photo shoot at noon. The rehersal lasted till 10 last night. Then this evening is a funeral. Marrying and burying in the same day makes for a full day. But I will contiue to feed my thin self.
Howdy to all ya'all ~ I read what you wrote so I know what you said but don't have the time to individually post. Have a nice save weekend. And be OP.
Hi all. Am on my 'weigh" down to 250 also.. Started At 276.4. Weighed in this morning at 267.6 after three weeks. Cannot wait until the 9th week so I can get that yummy lazania recipe they all rave about. Our leader is going to post it next week for those of us who have to wait so long. Has anyone tried it?? Am enjoying the message boards. Everyone is so nice and is so uplifting. Thanks for having me.. Ellie
Welcome Ellie, I think you'll find this is a great place to visit. Keep coming back and keep us posted - sounds like you're doing very well so far. ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!
Maggie, hope you have a great time at the wedding. Sorry about the funeral. It is unfortunate but they are a fact of life. Maybe you'll have more time to catch up with us tomorrow. Talk to you then!
Thinthinker (a.k.a. Terri?) way to go on ordering the grilled chicken at the steak house - I'm not sure I could have done it. The trouble with steak is that it's hard to feel satisfied with four ounces - I find I'm more satisfied with about 8 (which is, of course, way too much!!!!) By the way, what's Pistachio Fluff?
I'm working on some very low point days until my next WI (Wednesday) to make up for some pigging out I did over the last couple of days. Last night my husband and I, along with 4 of my sisters and their husbands as well as 2 of my nieces and their husbands went out for dinner at this place called "La Ferme Rouge" (the red farm). This place is an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet and after the buffet closes, the waiters and waitresses put on a wonderful cabaret-style show. This makes for a wonderful evening - but not even close to being OP!!! What the heck it, we were there to celebrate the 30th wedding anniversary of one of my sisterss (and her husband). - So now I'm paying for it!
I'm sure I'll make it up. I had a very low point day today. My husband wants me to start weight training with him (he's been bodybuilding for the past five or six years and is really committed to it) so I think I'll give that a try tomorrow. And then of course Monday I go to AquaFitness - it's all good!
Anyways, that's my banter for today. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend whether it's OP or not (although better if it is) and I hope to talk to you all again soon!
I'm in-between trips to the theatre again! I was able for the second day in a row to avoid the theatre popcorn! Hip hip hooray!! Ate light today before I left and am now enjoying a pizza night with a big salad. Will have to head back in about an hour.
Movie review time: We saw Legally Blonde, with Reese Witherspoon. Really cute movie, entertaining! And we saw The Score with Robert D'Niro and Marlon Brando. It was a fun, old time heist movie thriller. I really liked it.
Maggie: Wow, sounds like you are one busy lady today! Keep up with your OP work, you've been doing great! Maybe you'll get more time to 'chat' tomorrow.
Ellie: Welcome to our humble little group. I love all these ladies dearly and we always welcome new 'faces'. Hope you'll become a regular here. You've done great losing 9 pounds in 3 weeks. Keep up the great job!!
Diane: Nope, I'm a.k.a. Geri. I do a number of steakhouses every month and I can't remember the last time I ordered a steak. At one it's always the chicken and at the other it's usually grilled tuna unless they have Mahi Mahi which is my favorite! Anything is possible when you put your mind to it! Do you have the recipe for Taco Soup??? It's great when you're trying to pay 'catch up' from a bad day. Ummmm, Pistachio Fluff, one of the greatest 1 point wonders there is.
PISTACHIO FLUFF
1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple in juice, do not drain
1 pkg. fat free, sugar free instant pistachio pudding
1 - 8 oz. tub Fat Free Cool Whip
In a bowl mix crushed pineapple and dry pudding mix. Fold in tub of Cool Whip. Mix well. Chill. Serving size: 1 cup = 1 WW point
I make up a batch and put it in individual dishes so it's already portioned out and as easy to grab as something else that is not as good for me.
Well, girls, I'm gonna run again. Got some paperwork to do before I go back and do my counts. See ya tomorrow.

Its been a very productive weekend. I have whipped the garage into submission. Everything in it has been packed and I've got it separated into ready-to-move and garage-sale stuff. Now I can start moving all other boxes into the garage for next Saturday. I've made what seems like hundreds of trips up and down the stairs and my knees are starting to ache. But it feels good to have that done. The last time we moved, we saved the garage until last and it just about did us in because we were already tired. Tonight I need to get DH moving again on the kitchen.
We went to Sears and bought our refrigerator today. Woohoo!! Can't wait to have the ice and water in the door. Next is a new lawn mower for DH. He's decided to go with a self-propelled push instead of the baby riding mower. He's seeing the need to keep moving but with his diabetic neuropathy its hard for him too. A hard choice for him to make.
As soon as we get moved, I'm rejoining WW. There is a center about 2 miles from the house or less. DH wants to help more this time and do something for himself too. So maybe a new focus and success could be coming. Hope so.
Mom called yesterday and she's bringing our baby home to us on Friday. I think she's ready because she called him a monster. He's well over 50 pounds and is very bossy about his cookies/bones. She had to lay on him out on the pasture because he got mad for her not having enough cookies in her pocket. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. My mom is 70 years old and she's laying on a rottweiler. Guess she won that round. Oh my!
Geri - Good for you on avoiding the popcorn. That takes willpower and you should be rewarded on your WI. Thanks for your recipes too. I need to get back to making stuff that is WW friendly.
Maggie - How did the wedding and funeral go? What a busy and strange day for you. Sounds like your plan is working so well for you.
Diane - I'm a.k.a Terri. Good strategy with the low point days. That's part of the learning process; balancing the good with the bad. Good luck on your WI!
Ellie - Welcome to the group and good for you on your great losses on the program.
Cindy - How's the dog walking?? What a great way to enforce exercise!! I may be dog jogging soon! Looks like you're doing well OP again. Good for you!
Well, I better go roust DH up from his nap. Maybe if I'm in the kitchen making noise he'll jump right up and help. What a laugh.
Hi everybody! Guess everyone is taking a lazy Sunday off. Well, ok, maybe not lazy! I went shopping and errand running today and came home exhausted. My low back hasn't acted up in a looooong time, but decided today was the day. I'm not in awful shape, but definitely need my chiropractor! Maybe Tuesday I'll have time, if I survive that long!
While I was out, I bought cookies! What a mistake! I was able to stop at ...... 8!!! Since all I had today was breakfast, I guess you know what dinner was! Ooooops!
The scale was looking pretty good this morning so I can't wait until WI tomorrow morning! It's the first time I've looked forward to it in a very long time so I hope it's good news!!!
Terri: Sounds like you have had a very busy weekend. It will be good to see the end of the tunnel and then start unpacking all the boxes. Wouldn't it be fun if all the stuff just 'magically' transfered to the new house? It seems like such a waste to pack it all up and then unpack it all! I bet you will be sooo happy that your pooch is home for good. Sounds like your mom will be too!
Guess I'll run. I think a salad may be in my future. Love to all.

Well my little darling is 8 weeks old and I fully intend to start up WW. I was waiting because I wanted to make sure my body got back.
I have noticed I really have a sweet tooth (which I didn't have before at all) I like to think it is nursing and my milk getting some sweetness, but who knows.
Ok this is the start of a new week and I am looking at adding three sessions of aerobic excercise to my week. Let's see how I do. Other steps to be made soon.
WOW what a couple of days. I am rather tired. Doing weddings and attending to funerals takes a stress toll. And both in one day. Actually then there was a grave side service this day inbetween morning and evening church services. So - my program didn't suffer. I did have a taste of that wedding cake and it was the best I have ever had and I have had lots. It wasn't white white inside - almond flavored and good and moist. Those points tucked into my program quite nicely. I should have a good showing at the scale tomorrow. I figured I eat at least 10 less points per day then are alloted to my weight on my program.
GERI thank you for that Pistachio Fluff recipe. Good luck on your weigh in tomorrow! I admire your being able to not cave in and have some of that delicious smelling pop corn at the theatre.
ELLIE welcome to the group. You are doing well! Keep us posted and come back often. So you want that yummy Lasagna recipe...... H
EASY CHEESE LASAGNA
Makes 6 servings ~ 6 Points per serving
1 jar (28 oz) spaghetti sauce
6 uncooked lasagna noodles
1 container (15 oz) fat-free ricotta cheese
1-2 cups sliced or chopped raw vegetables, such as
mushrooms (I use Portabellos because they have a
meaty taste). broccoli, and bell pepper.
1 package (8 0z) shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 375. Spray 11x7-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Spread 1/3 of the sauce on bottom of dish; arrange 3 noodles in a single layer over sauce. Top with another 1/3 of the sauce, all of the ricotta cheese and vegetables, and 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese, then remaining noodles in a single layer. Spread evenly with remaining sauce.
Cover dish with foil; bake until noodles are tender and mixtue is piping hot, about 1 hour. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese; bake uncovered 5 minutes longer. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
TERRI you are so organized this move you will be so glad. I don't envy you one bit. We are going to be moving into our travel trailer and getting rid of so much stuff...... not much to move and take with.
DIANE you can reverse bank points and come out in the end with a good loss. Drink lots of water!
BARB CONGRATULATIONS on that new baby. Welcome to the group and post often and let us get to know you as the new mother. Welcome back to the family.
Maggie sippin' a Diet Dr. Pepper and enjoying the evening in Tennessee
Thinthinker.. i just read your post about the taco soup.. would it be too much trouble to put the recipe on here?? i would love to try it!!. Your pistachio fluff sounds similar to a recipe i tried called cool whip salad... one can of crushed pinapple, a packed of flavoured jello (light), fat free cool whip, and buttermilk. (yes.. buttermilk.. it sounds strange, but its a great recipe!!) If you like ambrosia,, you might like it. The recipe is on Getting2Goal's website..
What a beautiful weekend in Indiana..sunny and low 80's and not a cloud in the sky. I unfortunately got called in to work on Saturday, so I spent most of it at work...the good news is that it is an extra day and it was paid at time and one half, so the extra money will be nice with all the college tuition bills come due. You forget that these cute little babies grow up to be money eating machines!
Had a pretty great OP few days, but have really slacked the last two. My scale shows me down, so hopefully I can make up the last two days by keeping my points low for the next two before weigh in. I have journaled, but when you eat out, it is sometimes hard to calculate the points expecially if you are not eating at a chain type place. But I have journaled, so that is good for me!
Hope you all have a great week. I have to scoot, will catch up with you all tomorrow.
