Default Thin for life - Week of December 26 th

Hi all,

Happy week between christmas and new years. I'm hoping everything is fine!

I've been busy hacking away and seem to be getting better, my eating has been interesting and no exercise, which is strange for me. I'm hoping that things will improve towards the end of the week, other than running around, I haven't been to the gym, they probably miss me.

House is marginally back to normal. We're sleeping upstairs again and no sign life other than invited life. Had a busy few days and tonight we're at home eating leftovers and getting ready to leave for Portland in the morning. Should be fun as well lots of walking followed by eating. Hmm, maybe that is not a good combo.

I bought a new journal in New York a few months ago and I'm going to use it for food, I hope it works. I'm really happy blogging, but writing is hard, don't ask why?

Anybody have any good plans for the week?

Hi to all!

Good morning, Ladies!

Lala: Thanks for getting the thread up and running! I'm so glad you don't have an uninvited guests in your house!! I hope the last remnants of your cold leave soon--the hacking can be so tiresome!

On the food front I've done well with not eating cookies; the chex mix was quite another story. I did pack 2 large containers for my sons and they have pretty much eaten all of theirs--I'm thinking of refilling them so that I won't be tempted. I did stay out the snack mix last evening so that was a little NSV for me. My exercise has been pretty much at a standstill. Yesterday I went to the mall and walked the whole place so it's not like I'm just sitting (although Christmas day I did!). It's hard for me to not be at work--as I sit her typing the boys are still asleep and I'm getting things together for dinner tonight. One of my goals is to start cooking/planning more healthy meals with lots of veggies! I've been remiss in this area the past few months.

No major plans for NYE...DH's family is getting together on New Year's Day so we'll be having dinner there.

Hi to Susan, Pam, Austin, Lisa!!

Hi Ladies,

This week between the holidays is kind of strange. A lot of people at the office, but not a lot of work getting done. My holiday was very nice. I tried to keep the junk food eating in check and was moderately successful. I didn't have any pie on Christmas day but did have a few cookies. Passed on the fudge completely and had one chocolate covered strawberry. Can't wait to see what the scale says on Friday. I also purchased a new journal and began journalling again on Tuesday. I was going to wait until after the new year but figured nows as good a time as any to start.

Lala glad the critters are gone. I'm also in the final hacking stages of a cold. I began taking airborne which many people at work have been raving about...seems to have helped a bit. Will you be in Portland for New Years?

Melissa I'm a big fan of chex mix also. Refill the containers for your sons and be done with it! On Monday I went to the mall with Lauren. It was insane! She used one of her gift cards but I really couldn't find anything I wanted.

For New Years Eve we're going out to dinner with some friends and my sister and her husband. I'm sure we'll be home early.

Hi to Susan, Lisa and Austin!

So far I've had a pretty good day with eating. I, too, have pulled out the journal and dusted it off. I have really gotten away from keeping careful track of what I'm putting into my mouth. Hopefully this will be the start of ridding the extra pounds I've managed to put on over the past couple of months.

Have any of you checked out FlyLady's website? She has a new initiative...getting rid of Body Clutter. She has a link for a contract that can really relate well with Weight Watchers or any program for that matter. Check it out if you get a chance. I'm going to keep the contract posted where I can see it

On that note, I went to the meeting today and decided to take the hit--I was up 1.6# and I'm okay with that (well, not really) but I do know that today begins a new page/week in my journal and it's up to me to move forward. My gym bag is still packed and waiting for me to take it to the gym...tomorrow is another day.

I'm there on the body clutter! I'll check it out.

Melissa - the salt from the chex mix of course.

I'll be at the gym tomorrow as well!

Back from Portland, it was an eating extravaganza!
